I received Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Conditioner free to try from ChickAdvisor as part of their Product Review Club.
It's not something i would normally buy given the price tag, and just because I don't use conditionner after every wash but this product really lived up to expectations. I love dove products as they are so moisturizing. This conditionner detangles, without needing to use a lot of product and leaves my hair really soft, free of fly aways. It's perfect for dry climates and winter if you're prone to getting staticy hair.

I received this product along with 4 other Dove hair products as part of the review club. I've always been a fan of Dove branding and this is another product that I just love. The shampoo smells great, lathers well and cleans without stripping moisture. After just a couple uses, my hair truly felt quenched, fluflly and more manageable. -

I got this product for free as a part of the review club along with 2 other flavors from this brand. This was my least favorite and disappointingly so. I love mango and coconut, so this seemed like a cool exotic choice but as soon as I opened the wrapper, I got such a strong whiff that I thought I was handling a bar of soap.
It smelled artificial for some reason and tasted like perfume. The coconut shavings are not overwhelming, but it's the combo that just overpowers the chocolate. Yuck!

The dark chocolate and tart cherry are prominent, I couldn't really taste the pomegranate though. This is definitively a quality chocolate that I would take my time to savor for dessert instead of eating it absentmindedly as a snack.
The packaging is really cute and the inner foil is even printed with pretty tree motifs that fits the company's image well. I also like the natural ingredients.
I would describe this chocolate bar as for "grown ups" a more mature treat than your plain old Hersheys.

Let me start off by saying I don't really know what acai tastes like and it's not easy to idenfity from this chocolate bar. I get a a strong berry scent mixed with a nutty crunch that is pleasant. The chocolate itself a quality product, love the packaging and gold foil, however due to this being a dark chocolate, it has a bitter aftertaste and takes longer to melt in your mouth. The chocolate is very hard at room temperature and I didn't find it to be as satisfying as a regular candy bar or something like kit kat for that matter. -

This kit is basically just a bottle of acetone, some foil wraps, mini bottle of cuticle oil and stick to help scratch off the polish. There is nothing special about this kit that you wouldn't be able to achieve by yourself at home. You can easily buy acetone and use regular tin foil to insulate your nails with the acetone soaked cotton. Since the polish is very difficult to removed, you need to soak your fingers in acteone for aroun 8-10 mins to loosen the gel and use the stick to scratch the remainder off. It will start peeling but it's not a clean removal you'd expect from regular nail polishes.
The whole process of wrapping each finger in foil took quite a bit of time, especially if you're doing it by yourself. In all, it took about 20-25 mins for me to get all cleaned up.

Thanks to ChickAdvisor, I got to test a professional CND Shellac Manicure free of charge at a salon in my area. It was my first time getting my nails done outside of home and also a first for UV polish.
I've familiar with all your regular types of nail polish and in order to get great results, it requires a lot of time and many coats during application. The Shellac polish goes on no differently than what I'm used to. It starts with a clear base coat, 2 coats of your color of choice and a top coat for extra shine. The difference is in between each layer, you put your hand in a little machine that is either a UV or LED powered light that helps dry and "cure" the final product. The result is instant, your nails dry immediately and there is no waiting period between applications.
In all, from the time it took to groomed my nails (like filing and cutting cuticles) to applying the product, I was in and out of the salon in half an hour.
It's been a week and a half now and I can tell the polish is nowhere near wearing off. My nails have grown out and the product itself is intact, it hasn't chipped, dulled or peeled - You just see a demarcation line at the base of my nail for the new growth. It's truly a unique product. I thought my nails would feel rock hard after this, but the polish does have a gel or "gummy" feel such that if you press yours nails in it, it kinda bounces back.
I've washed a ton of dishes, scrubbed windows and did general household chores and Shellac has really stood the test - I'm impressed!
I definitely recommend this UV polish if you want something long lasting and durable, ideal for special events or going on vacation, beach etc.

Let me begin by saying I've never had a professional manicure before. I'm just not the type to really care enough to bring myself to a salon for the sake of pretty nails. Or I'm just cheap. Either way I was really excited about coming here because I heard it was more upscale than your regular nail salon and it's been featured in the media. For a first timer, might as well start with the best!
I received a voucher for a Shellac UV manicure and overall enjoyed the experience and love how high quality the product is. From the moment I booked the appt to when I walked in, the receptionist was very friendly and accomodating - she took off my coat and asked what kind of beverage I would like- a pretty box filled with tea bags for my choosing was presented. You'll definitely feel girly and pampered at Candy Nail Bar. It's trendy, colorful and well maintained. There's a special vip area for groups and parties too.
As for service, I'm sure the actual treatment you get varies widely based on the employee. My technician was very pleasant but she didn't apply the polish perfectly. I have some nails that are a deeper shade and some that could have gotten another coat of varnish. I wasn't going to complain since it was free, and I didn't really notice until I stepped outside anyways.
Bottom line, come here for the atmosphere, its a chic vibe- they're also known for their 3d custom nail art, but if you're looking for a basic mani/pedi, save yourself a few bucks, you'd probably find similar down the street.
