I'm a huge Barbie fan (and have several of Cake Beauty's Barbie collection-even a t-shirt!).
When I saw a friend on Twitter tweet about this I just had to get it! I really adore it and despite what you may think, the eyeshadows are quite high quality and the colors compliment eachother beautifully! Unfortunately I bought this from Amazon so the speaker worked a couple of times (it's built into the palette) but isn't functional anymore. I didn't buy it for the talking part but it is neat to be 'talked' through applying the colors. Thankfully there is also a pull out insert to do that as well.
I don't own many stila products and was disappointed by their tinted moisturizer but I really have lot of hope for the eyeshadows! Good stuff.

As my 40th birthday looms, I am always on the lookout for products that will make me NOT look old!(not that there is anything wrong with that!). I had an opportunity to receive a facial from Christian Dior (which you should take advantage of if you have a similar opportunity), and the beauty advisor used the super serum on me. Almost immediately, my face sucked up that serum. I use this as a booster-meaning I cleanse, tone, apply the capture totale, and then apply another serum, and moisturize). I have seen a difference since I have been using this. My skin is brighter and firmer. It really does BOOST the effectiveness of my other serum.
This product IS expensive but if it keeps me out of the plastic surgeon's chair, I'll take it!

This was a limited edition trio that I had been searching high and low for. I stumbled upon it while I was visiting my parents over the summer and bought 2 of them. I adore this palette! The colors are so unique and I like the combination of colors (gold, rose gold and purple-who would have thought). I get a lot of compliments (including a huge thumbs up from a MAC artist) when I wear this. If you can find it, I highly recommend picking it up! -

I bought this brush after a MAC artist used it to apply foundation during a makeup appointment. I loved how it seemed to blend effortlessly.
I feel like I wasted my money. This brush does nothing but SHED. I end up pulling brush hair off my face every time I use it (and yes, I use a proper brush cleaner). I'm unhappy that I spent so much on one brush. At the time, I felt this was a stand-out product but I have seen dupes for this popping up left and right.
MAC has much better brushes and I do not recommend this one.

But I'm a believer. I really do like this! I use it as a concealer, AND a highlighter. It covers my undereye woes and also gives me some brightening.
My only problem with this product is the price. I'm not sure I will repurchase this and am actively hunting for something that is equivalent without the hefty price tag. I like the results.....but the $$$ is hard to swallow.

I have never used a cleansing conditioner. I shampoo and condition my hair approximately 3 times a week. I'm a "bottle blonde" so I am on a maintenance schedule. I use a purple non-sulfate shampoo & conditioner once a week, and color safe sulfate free shampoo & conditioner the other 2 times. This is now in my shampoo rotation even though it's technically NOT a shampoo.
What I love about this product is that it leaves my hair feeling clean and moisturized. I notice less static/flyaways. it smells quite natural. I also like that I don't have to use conditioner after rinsing this. Great-more $$ in my pocket!
What YOU may not like about this product:
-the pump. This is a thick product and the pump doesn't deliver even 1/100th of the product that is needed to properly coat the entire head. If you have thick hair, save yourself the stress, and take the pump off the bottle.
-this product does NOT lather. This may be especially difficult for people weaning themselves off "regular" shampoo. Please be aware-just because the product doesn't lather, doesn't mean it isn't working!
I am pleased with this product overall. It has worked it's way into my shampoo rotation and if I have to wash my hair over the weekend, I will reach for this.

I don't wear it often but it's suprisingly not that orange on me. You don't have to use a lot to achieve a great glow and I can appreciate the texture-it's easy to blend but don't take too much time with it (otherwise you will look like a clown!)

MAC seems to be pumping out new collections left and right these days. When I saw Shop/Cook MAC there were several items that caught my eye. I ended up purchasing the Call me Bubbles quad because it had some colors in it that I knew I didn't have in my collection. I know the colors may seem kind of 'wonky' upon first glance but I get a lot of compliments when I wear this. It really brings out my blue eyes. There are both shimmers and matte shadows within this quad (which I am often on the fence about but in this case it works). I consider this quad a kind of "modern" or "urban" neutral. It's at least worth wandering over to a MAC counter and checking out/swatching! -

The first time I saw this quad, I knew it had to be mine....and that's strictly based on the bright pink color! I had this quad applied by a YSL artist at the Bay and was in love after seeing the final product. It's pricey but I have noticed that I am reaching for this a lot more often than I thought I would. It has 4 colors, a light pink, a lilac, hot pink, and navy. The hot pink and navy colors are shimmers-the pink and lilac are less shimmery but I wouldn't call them matte. My usual "look" for this palette is the light pink in my inner corner, lilac on the lid, hot pink in the crease, and navy in the outer v. I know the colors look intense (and they can be if you want them to) but applied lightly, they really define the eye quite well. -

I stumbled upon this product while reading a blog and did some googling. I saw many rave reviews so I decided to check it out and made the trip to Holt Renfrew on Bloor Street. This is a product that I use as a primer but you can also use it alone (the SPF is an added bonus). I love this stuff-it's a mousse. I spray it into my palm and apply it on my face with my fingers-I recommend you do this quickly as the product dries fast! It has a slight beige tint. I have found that it evens out my skin tone and my foundation applies better after using it! It is a bit pricey (it's $40.00 for a small can) but for the amount I use (1/2 pump) I can justify it! If you are looking for a lightweight primer that's not going to make your face look like a Texas oil slick (or if you have oily skin), then pick this up if you can. It's a splurge that's worth it! -
