I was lucky enough to be able to review this product (thank you review club).
I tried it out this morning....I am pretty 'good' with my teeth and I don't allow them to get too yellow but due to the amount of tea I drink, I do experience some surface staining. This products gives me the extra 'oomph' I need to get rid of those stains!
I did notice my teeth were considerably whiter after using the strips for the required 2 hours. However, consider the trade offs:
My teeth were also EXTREMELY sensitive after using the strips
The strips take a 'death' grip on your teeth so don't freak out if you can't just whip them off. It ain't gonna happen.
So I will give these a thumbs up! They do the job and as long as you aren't doing anything extremely hot or cold for several hours afterward, you should be A-ok!
Thanks to the review club for letting me try these out! Saving a set of strips for the holiday/birthday parties!

I have this lip shine in Poppy which is a coral-ish pink. This probably wasn't the best choice for me-since I am very very fair with pink undertones! I had never heard of this brand so of course I was stalking their website like crazy.....the company's products are inspired by some 'fancy' tea room in Hollywood. Interesting.
The company’s tag is “relaxed, simple, sexy and fun.” I have to say I smirked when I read that. The packaging of the lip shine is anything but relaxed and simple. Gold and shiny? That's not my idea of 'simple.'
This product would be better served if it were called "Sheer tinted lip balm" because that's what it is. The website says it is sheer color with lots of shine....I didn't even really see sheer color. It also states that the product is "nourishing and hydrating." I experienced the opposite of that-this product made me see every fine line, flake, nook and cranny in my lips. ick! I did try this over a lipstick and it's okay but nothing to scream about-and certainly nothing to fork out $17.00 for.
I really wanted to like this product, I truly did but I just can't. I may give h.woods beauty another chance-I saw some great eyeshadows on the website and the colors are quite attractive. The lip shine is a no-go, though.

“Foundation with a hint of jojoba extract and cucumber water, gives flawless, luxurious coverage with a barely there feel.”
The sample I tried was decent. I (smartly) applied with a sponge-I think if I have tried with my fingers or a brush, things would’ve gone awry. This makeup does have a light feel. Coverage is also light-it’s more than a tinted moisturizer, but lighter than what would be considered medium coverage (in my opinion). I don’t feel that this foundation is buildable….if you were to need more coverage in a certain area, I would go back in with concealer and/or powder. I actually think the alabaster is a tad light for me.
I am not in love with this foundation at all, but I don’t hate it either. I think it will come in handy when I want to go ‘lighter’ but not as light as my tinted moisturizer. I applaud Covergirl for creating more ‘eco-friendly’ products though

I am afraid to wear nude lipsticks....so when I saw this lipstick and it's description (pinky-nude), I just had to try it!
The package says….
‘hydrating lipstick. With a soft, smooth finish and the powerful moisturizing properties of Brazil’s Cupuacu Butter, Jouer’s Hydrating Lipstick is the perfect balance of treatment and color.’
*not tested on animals*-always a plus!
I like this lipstick…for what I like to call a ‘transitional nude’, it’s perfect. It’s not too pink, and not too nude. It goes on smooth and doesn’t feel dry on the lips. This lipstick has made it into my purse for daily wear. Nice!

I haven't been to a Clinique counter since they introduced Happy perfume to the world....and after they started cloning it to the extreme (Happy Heart, etc), I stopped going to the counter. I feel like they need some major rebranding and for pete's sake could they please introduce something 'new'?
I have been reading a lot about Chubby sticks on beauty blogs and decided to stop by and see what all the hype was about.
Chubby sticks are cute-crayon like lip balms with color. They glide on nice and easy and deliver sheer color. I do like them, the colors I got were 06-Super Strawberry, and 07-Woppin' Watermelon. I like them both and they are currently living in my purse and have earned the title of "work day lip color."
I may go back and purchase one more chubby stick-this is the right time for sheer washes of color! However I am not in love with them so once they're gone, they're gone (for me).

How many times have I ignored my hairdresser’s warnings about not washing my hair every day. 2nd day hair just feels icky-we all know this! I have been a huge fan of dry shampoos and have tried almost all of them. My favorite (thus far) is Batiste…..well until now.
I snagged this product at Sally Beauty Supply near my parents house. I certainly wasn’t looking for a dry shampoo-I still had over half my bottle of Batiste (in Tropical scent) left. As I was browsing through the store, the thought of “stocking up” crossed my mind, but I didn’t notice this product until I got to the register where it was displayed prominently. A big ‘Sale’ sign taped to the first bottle. So of course I bought it!
I followed the directions (which read):
“Shake well before use. Hold can 12″ from hair and spray lightly. Use fingertips to massage through hair focusing on roots. Brush product out.”
And that’s what I did!
I like this product! It’s a fine mist, no residue with a very pleasant scent. People with darker hair (which I don’t have) could use this-there is no white powder (I know that Tresemme dry shampoo has gotten a ton of complaints because of the white residue left on the hair). Can’t argue with the price either ($5.99 USD)
I will use this until I run out-while it’s not a ‘I’ll die if I don’t have it’ type of product, it would be a good reason to go back across the border for more!

I am very picky when it comes to mascara. I do NOT normally choose thickening mascara because I find it is too 'heavy' for my lashes and causes them to go 'flat' (I know that's hard to picture, but trust me it's not pretty). So when I saw this mascara, I was hesitant to try it due to the 'volume' part.
However, I like this product! I have been using it every day and it is nice and light but does a wonderful job lengthening my lashes. It does not clump and lasts all day. I call it a 'day' mascara....for night, I would prefer something a little more extreme. It does the trick for my daily wear and stays put! Just in case you're wondering, it's also hypo-allergenic!
FYI, Marcelle is also a Canadian company-but this mascara was made in Italy (I consider that a plus!)

So I knew nothing about Vasanti until I started hanging out with beauty bloggers (best thing I ever did by the way).
Vasanti is a CANADIAN cosmetic company-and at first I didn't know what to think about their products, but after trying their liquid cover up foundation, I can say I am thrilled! The coverage is wonderful, the shade is perfect for my skin tone, and it applies like buttah!
I love that their is an applicator brush in the cap-this product can be used as a cover up or full foundation. I use it as a foundation (and apply it with a foundation brush). It's great-not too heavy and buildable coverage.
If you haven't used Vasanti, you can find them online and at Rexall drugstores. Go and check them out, you won't be disappointed! They have a great line of products and just came out with some new items-including some very fun eyeshadow duos!

I have worn a full face of foundation every day for at least 15 years. Yes, I was the girl at the gym with makeup on-granted I didn’t have smokey eyes or fake lashes but you could bet that if I rubbed my face on a towel, there would be foundation on it. I prefer heavier coverage foundations as I feel they give the appearance of a ‘flawless’ complection. Haven’t been without foundation in a loooong time.
I am not sure what made me waver….tons of review sites/beauty bloggers singing the praises of tinted moisturizer? The new products and promises of ‘natural looking coverage’? Or maybe it’s just me getting tired of having to touch up all day and having my makeup rub off (does anyone else remember Cindy Crawford in that Revlon commercial where she had on a white silk blouse and she would rub her face against it?).
I was in Sephora yesterday and found myself browsing the different tinteds (again). I so did not want to get on the Laura Mercier bandwagon. Yes, I have sampled it before, yes it’s fantastic but it’s over $50.00 a tube! I just couldn’t make the commitment-I mean, what if I hated this stuff after I got it home? So I let the Sephora employee show me around and my eyes fell on Stila sheer color. I do not own one Stila product-couldn’t tell you much about the brand. However, I liked the consistency and it was probably the ‘best’ match for my skin tone that was NOT Laura M. So I bought it.
It's too early to tell whether I am completely in love with it since it's been 1 day. However, it feels a lot 'lighter' than my foundation, my skin looks hydrated. I believe I will have to 'wean' myself off my foundation and slowly work my way onto the TM's-summer is coming after all! The consistency is a little thicker than most of the TM's I have sampled-and I LIKE that. it may appeal to my full-face-foundation-sisters! I am also thrilled that Stila has skin-tone options (read: other than yellow based). That is a MAJOR complaint of mine! I purchased 'Fair'
Will I continue using? That remains to be seen-but this weekend was the perfect time to give Stila a test run!

Oh boy am I angry!
I was recommended by a co-worker (who shall remain nameless) to a particular doctor at this facility. I have been in the market for a family doctor for several months now after dumping my last one (she refused to do some bloodwork that I requested AND that was covered by my insurance-so bye bye).
My complaints about this place will be about the staff. Think of every expletive you possibly can and that sums up the people who work here. I will give you the short version:
I walked in, and interrupted the receptionist who was very busy on her blackberry-too busy to acknowledge me. When I started to say my name, she interrupted me and said, "Doctor" I said the doctor's last name, and then she said, "Last name" so I spelled mine. Then she stopped talking to me. I said, "What do I do now?" She replied, "Have a seat."
The waiting room had 2 elderly people in it...one was sitting under a sign that read 'Don't use your cell phone in this office' but was playing a game on his phone at the loudest volume possible (maybe he was seeing the audiologist?) I waited and listened to all 4 clerks/receptionists/staff argue about fax numbers and putting envelopes in the wrong order-this was about 10 minutes of banter and bickering. Lovely.
So I see someone that looks like a doctor pop into view (at the desk of course). She is trying to ask about her patient (eh hem, moi). None of the women seem to know what she means by "Is my patient here yet? She's a new patient." Finally one of the 'staff' grabs the chart out of the doctor's hands and starts mispronouncing my last name and making fun of it (saying my last name over and over again out loud and slow-trying to be funny). Then she looks at the chart and shouts out, "Who comes for a meet and greet anymore? HI and BYE-get out!" At this point I walked over and said, "You are talking about me and I am sitting right here." Blackberry girl looks up and says, "Oh yeah, she's here."
I had to ask how to get to the office because no one told me which door to use to get past the waiting area. When I sat down the doctor was in her office and she opened my chart and said, "So why are you here?"
And that, my friends is when I flipped out....I said, "Are you serious? Did you not hear the exchange out front? I WAS looking for a family doctor-and unfortunately due to your incompetent staff, you are NOT it. So don't bother writing anything else down. Who runs this place and is in charge of them anyway?"
She said, "Nobody." And I said, "That's really sad for you, because here you are a doormat. Good luck with that."
I showed myself out but before I left I said to the staff, "You all need to get a grip."
Slammed the door and left. Absolutely awful.
DO NOT GO HERE!
