I've been horribly slow in reviewing Emily Griffin's book Something Borrowed. It was my first book by her, but aparently she's a big chick lit author, because whenever i'm reading something by her, women stop by and comment on it. Apparently, everyone's a fan. This makes me think that maybe i should read it somewhere public where there are hot women around... a great conversation starter lol.
The book itself went very fast, but my main complaint was that i really didnt like the main character. here is a woman who is sleeping with her BEST FRIEND'S FIANCE!! Throughout the book, she's making excuses, such as Darcy (her bff) has always had things easy, always thinks of herself and gets her way.. She's always trying to justify why Darcy is a bad friend, but she's not. No one's perfect. It's the main girl Rachel who is the bad friend. She whines, whines whines, and cheats her very own best friend. I can't get behind a girl like that at all. It kind of ruined the book for me, because the whole thing was just so distasteful.
I guess there is a sequel to the book, told from Darcy, the poor cheated on friend's, point of view. I really want to read that. I'm sure this girl has many bad points to her, but she is loyal, and i need something in the character that i can respect. What do you think, is there anything that can justify lying and stealing and breaking the trust from your best friend?

My friend accidentally dumped a lot on, and stung his eyes. You don't need a lot. So long as you use it properly, it doesn't sting or irritate, and gets my makeup off really well. It's not greasy. I love it. -

I have super dry skin, and our house is also dry, so i need something that can really moisturize my skin. when i was little, my aunt used to let me use her nivea lotion, i thought it was so special and nice smelling. so, i heard that nivea creme was good, and i tried it. it is really thick, but it's not lotion, its cream, so that's to be expected. it lasts longer than you would expect. i put it on my arms and legs especially, usually after a shower and sometimes before bed. when i forget, i feel the itchiness, and i dont get that when i remember to use it, so it's definitely working. i dont think its too greasy, it leaves my legs feeling nice and smooth. i would absolutely recommend this, especially since you can get it right in your drugstore, so it's easy and cheap, but works! -

I kind of have to shake it up a little, because otherwise, it seems like the exfoliants don't always come out. But if it's shaken up and you squirt a medium amount, you can really feel it scrubbing your face. I use this mornings in the shower. I'm not sure that my face feels microdermed… I don't know if it's getting away any lines or anything, but I like it. It seems to clean well. So I'll keep using it. -

I know you can use it as an eye makeup remover as well, but I don't, mostly because I usually still have my contacts in, and don't like having water and soap near my eyes. i use an eyemakeup remover later. -

I didn't really realize how much i liked it, until i tried another face lotion at a mini facial. my face felt all dry and tight and i found myself wishing i could go home and put on my own lotion. then i remembered how my face always used to feel all dry and tight before i started using this. Now it feels comfy. This moisturizer is thick, but goes on light. I never notice the smell. I am smooth and not dry or flakey, as my cheeks are prone to be, and my skin does not feel greasy afterwards. i recommend it! -

The unscented was a little too gluey smelling for me, but the citrus one smelled pretty good. The lipbalm itself looks like a little lipstick, so may be too girly for guys, but for girls it's fine. It's not really too shiny, so you will probably want a lipgloss/stick on top of it. It does keep my lips moist and soft. This has almond oil in it, in case you're allergic. Hmm, my lips are chapped right now… I wish I remember where I put my lip balm! I probably wouldn't repurchase this, only because I like something glossier (i.e. lip gloss) and I don't want to keep reapplying two things. But if you just want to make your lips soft, go for this product. -

Also, this has almond oil in it, for anyone allergic to them. -
