I received this mascara through their bonus event and was happy to try out the sample. It's a very light - barely there - type of mascara. I found it left my lashes almost shorter looking than normal. It was very smooth on the lashes and didn't leave them with a crusty feeling. It washes off easily and doesn't leave black marks around my eyes. If the mascara was thicker I'd definitely buy it again, but it just didn't impress me to pay full price for it. -

The price point of the Balea lip balms can't be beat - they're around $1.49 each. I'm addicted to using lip balm so was excited to see a new brand on the shelf. The smell of the lip balm is pleasant, but it's a very waxy texture. When applying it on my lips it actually feels like a light covering of wax. If you put too much on your lips it will actually get a little chunky (gross!). I've ended up only using it at home before bed because when in public it tends to look too waxy. Overall, decent lip balm but not the best on the market when it comes to application. -

I received this product in the mail from L'Oreal to test out. I was very intrigued to use it because of all of the advertisements. Although, I was quickly let down. There is just something about a mascara wand that is shaped like a medieval mace that makes me nervous. It was difficult to use because the bristles were short and didn't cover a large section of my lashes. Once applied it was so light it looked like I wasn't even wearing mascara - so I'm not even sure if the mascara itself (with a different brush) would be very good. Definitely not an item I'd recommend or buy in the future. -

Thanks ChickAdvisor for the product review! I've been using this cream for the past couple of weeks and feel that it's average. The jar holds a lot of cream - so it's good value for the money. It's nice that it's unscented because you don't feel like you're putting chemicals on your face. I found the texture of the cream to be smooth, but once applied to my face it almost had an oily texture. I don't think this is bad because I found it to be ideal for applying make-up on top of. But if you didn't add some powder your face might be too shinny.
On the flip side, I'm not sure how well it moisturizers my skin. At first it seems good, but doesn't leave me with that overly hydrated look. It's only a day cream so it would be nice if it was also intended for the evening so my bathroom wasn't filled with numerous jars of creams. As for it being an anti-wrinkle...I'm not thinking it will stack up against other creams in that department.
Overall, average product but I don't see myself running out and buying another jar.

Thanks to the product review club for this freebie! I've been using VIM for several years and always liked the product. This time I used it to clean my bathtub and bathroom sinks. It has a pleasant lemon scent and isn't over powering either. When cleaning the tub you don't need a lot of cream because it works pretty well. I left the cream on the tub for about a minute before starting to clean. My tub came out very shinny and took off any residue very easily. I liked the fact it didn't leave a chalky residue, but washed away clean. In the bathroom sink it had the similar effect - easy to clean, lots of shine and nice smell. I'd definitely see myself buying VIM again for my household chores. -

Thanks to the Product Review Club for the Nutriganics Smoothing Serum from the Body Shop. When I first got the product I was a little confused on exactly how I was to use it. The packaging didn’t explain what to do or the results I should see (and when). It was more focused on it being all-natural, which is fine but I’d like to know the purpose behind it. If I were shopping in the store I would probably bypass the product simply because of the lack of information.
The product has a very runny texture and you need only a small amount. My skin absorbed it rather quickly, although it left me with the feeling of something sticky on my face. If you don’t put on moisturizer afterwards your skin will be super shinny and dry. I didn’t notice any major changes to my skin – tightness or moisture level. Overall, not a product that I see myself buying or recommending to friends.

AMAZING ice cream! I was part of the ChickAdvisor event so was able to sample a variety of the favours. My favourite was the Dulce de Leche because of the amount of caramel. It reminded me of when I was a kid growing up always eating butterscotch ice cream, but this time more intense flavor. The Mocha Fudge Brownie ice cream even had little pieces of real brownie! It was a stronger mocha taste so if you're a coffee lover this will be your favourite.
You could tell the high cream was a higher quality because the ingredients were rich and creamy. It's surprising that it's half the fat because it sure didn't taste like half the flavor. I'd definitely continue to buy this one over other brands not only because of the taste and variety of flavors, but mainly because it's less fat. Two thumbs up for Breyer's new Smooth and Creamy line.

The cream is super thick (it's body butter), but seriously locks in the moisture and lasts all day. At times I have overly dry skin and it really did the trick. It's good for women or men because the scent it pretty generic. Two thumbs up! -

I've always been a MAC fan so was eager when I received this mascara in a prize pack. It's a good basic mascara, but doesn't add very much volume, thickness or length. I don't think that's terribly bad because sometimes it's nice to just wear light make-up for everyday use. If you apply multiple coats it will be thicker and never clumpy. Also, I've been using it for a month now and it's not showing any signs of clumping. The mascara washes off easily and doesn't stain my eyes. Overall, average mascara but doesn't justify spending $15 when most drug store brands will do the trick (for 1/2 the price). -

This past weekend myself and five girlfriends went to Elmwood Spa for the day. It was fantastic! We arrived early for our Swedish massages and were able to take advantage of the water therapies. In the women's change room there is a large hot tub, steam room and rain-showers. It was little busy, but not problem getting around or finding a locker. Next, we each at 50-minute Swedish massages with male RTM's. Everyone enjoyed their massages. I had Nkois and he was fantastic. He was friendly, professional and didn't talk the entire time (that's a plus!). Lastly, we went to the main water therapies area on the third floor. There was a large pool, hot tube, 2 steam rooms and lounge. This area seemed a little older, but still nice and met our expectations.
Overall, I'd highly recommend Elmwood Spa to my friends and will definitely be going back - hopefully soon!
