I really love the scents of the Bath & Body Works Antibacterial Hand Soaps. They are fresh smelling without being too girly (well, in some cases). I'm definitely hooked on buy these. They leave my hands feeling clean and lightly scented. I like the gel based ones better than the cream soaps. I find the cream based hand soap almost feels a film on my hands and takes longer to wash off. Either one is still pretty great. Definitely I'd recommend this item to friends. -

I received this item for free when buying some Marcelle face cream so was happy to test it out since reading the reviews on Chick Advisor. I've only ever used one other eye cream so my comparison pool is a bit small. The cream went on smooth and had a light scent, but I found if it got too close to my eye it would really start to sting. I had to make a habit of making sure not even a small amount got into my eyes. Yes, I should be doing this anyway, but sometimes you're not always paying attention.
The cream made my eyes softer, but not any better than my Dove Spa brand eye cream. I don't see myself buying this product and wouldn't really recommend it to my friends.

I recently went to Body Blitz on a Sunday afternoon with one of my girlfriends. We arrived around 12:30pm and unfortunately had to wait for 45 minutes for a spot to become available. You can only make reservations if you’re having a service (ie. scrub, massage etc.), but not for the water therapies.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. It wasn’t a problem getting extra towels or something from the juice bar. The circuit of water therapies was really fun (except for the cold plunge…kinda of joking here). I enjoyed that it was only women so you didn’t feel uncomfortable in a bathing suit. There were a couple ladies who went naked (which is allowed), but it doesn’t seem that it’s overly common.
There were only a couple of drawbacks – the long wait and there was a lot of water everywhere on the floors. People were walking around constantly cleaning up the water, but still it seemed a bit wet everywhere you’d step. Thankfully everyone is given a pair of flip-flops to wear.
I’d definitely go back again. It was a little pricy ($45) so I don’t think I’d make a habit of it, but it’s a nice winter activity.

I won a gift set of this perfume and was really excited to try it out. First, I noticed the scent to be rather strong and quickly found out you only need one (or two) sprays. The scent really held on and I could notice it throughout the day. Although, my one flaw with this scent is that it's a rather mature smell. It almost reminds me of a scent an older lady would wear instead of someone in their 20's. It seemed to have that glamorous feeling that tends to make you think of an evening out. Overall, nice scent but doesn't top my list of favourites. -

I recently purchased this perfume when on vacation and love the scent. It's fruity and floral mixed together to create a summertime scent. I've had several people tell me they like the smell so it's a crowd pleaser! I read on the Escada website it's a limited edition scent so it might not be part of their standard line-up going forward. I'd highly recommend this perfume to my friends. -

I received this item as a freebie in the mail and was really excited to test it out. It's super easy and pretty much fool proof. My clothes came out clean with a nice light scent. I used it when I was on a trip so it was easy to pack and I never worried about it in my luggage. My only complaint would be that some of my clothes clearly say don't use a dryer sheet (ie. Lululemon items). Therefore, you'll want to use these sheets half the time but not for every load. -

I recently bought the "Glove Me Tender" hand cream from Bath and Body Works. It's part of their True Blue Spa line. It has a great scent and really moisturizes your hands without having them feel oily. I tend to have rather dry hands and now they're silky smooth (even after a few applications). Something I found interesting is that the hand cream has SPF 15 in it. Nice touch since you don't normally see that in hand creams. The hand cream is a little pricey, but for the quality it's definitely worth the money. I'll be sure to buy this product again. -

I've been using Ralph Lauren Romance for over 10 years now. I find the scent to be classic and timeless. I've received countless compliments on the scent and often people are surprised when I say it's Ralph Lauren. What I especially like about the scent is that it's great for daytime and evening as well. The scent is a mix between florals, musk and woods - making for a great combination in my opinion. Overall, two thumbs up and definitely a product I'd recommend to my friends. -

I recently got a ladies hair cut and style at Salvatore Leonetti Salon in Yorkville. They have a nice location and it's a typically looking salon on the inside. I was greeted by a very friendly lady and quickly asked if I'd like a drink. I was introduced to my stylist who asked me a lot of questions about my personal style and what type of cut I was looking for. I found she asked the right questions and really listened to what I wanted. The hair cut is above average for sure.
My stylist is definitely a pro at her trade, but I was thrilled with her personality. She often cut me off when talking and quizzed me on random facts - then telling me I answered incorrectly. It was almost odd at times, but I got the impression it was just her way and she wasn't trying to go out of her way to be mean to just me. She said about 4 times she finds cutting hair so easy and doesn't understand why people feel they need to be creative because it's just hair. That's fine, but odd comment to make.
Overall, solid hair cut and despite the odd conversation I'd probably go back simply based on the fact the women really was a good as she told me.
