I tried this product awhile back for a week and I did not like it because I was used to using facial cleansing cloths which made my skin feel cleaner to me. After much convincing of an esthetician that facial cloths were not the way to go as I get older, I decided to give this product another try and stick with it for a bit and let my skin adjust to it. I have to say that I have really grown to like this product and it is what I use as a daily facial cleanser now. My skin does feel clean and it has evened out my complexion. I find my skin soft afterwards as well and it does not overdry my skin as I think the facial cleansing cloths did. I think I mistook the dryness for my skin being squeaky clean in the past. In any case, I like this product and will continue to use it. -

I had the pleasure of being introduced to Havana yesterday and I am in LOVE with this place. It has a large patio and the food is absolutely amazing. I started with the West Coast Cakes which are made up of wild sockeye salmon and pacific crab cakes with curried-lemon aioli and citrus truffled greens. I also tried their Tropical Sangria which I would highly recommend. This was followed up by their chocolate hazelnut cheesecake and mango creme brulee...all absolutely yummy. The service was prompt, friendly and knowledgable. I also enjoyed the decor on the inside and there is an art gallery room featuring a local artist on the way to the bathrooms. If you are ever in the area, check this place out! -

I visited Cupcakes in Vancouver when I saw it's cute little sign from the sidewalk and it reminded me of the Cupcake Shoppe in Toronto. The cupcakes look absolutely amazing but they just don't taste great. There is nothing wrong with the flavour but I found it a bit dry compared to the Cupcake Shoppe in Toronto. The cupcake itself was less fluffy and more dense, mind you I did like the icing as it was not overly sweet. My complaint is that I felt like there are times where I have bought cupcakes from a grocery store that were equally as good (tasting) all though they did not look as pretty. I won't be returning to Cupcakes again since I just did not think it was worth it and what I saw (pretty yumminess) did not translate in terms of taste. -

I am in love with The Cupcake Shoppe located just north of Yonge and Eglinton at 2417 Yonge Street on the east side of Yonge. The Cupcake Shoppe has 17 nut-free flavours with 9 flavours available in store everyday. My favourites are the Yonge 'n Eligible (which is vanilla buttercream on vanilla cake) and James Brown (which is chocolate buttercream on chocolate cake). Cupcakes are baked daily with fresh ingredients which makes all the difference in terms of taste. They also offer custom cupcakes for special events! Next time you are in the area or need cupcakes for a special event, check out the Cupcake Shoppe! -

I am not a big fan of Smashbox O Gloss at all. I normally love Smashbox products but this one is a miss for me. The gloss is clear in the package and the color intensifies based on body heat I would presume...it's like mood makeup. I find that if I wear this gloss and go into a hot club or something like that it turns almost fushia on me (which I hate). Anyway, I wouldn't buy this product again or suggest that anyone try it. It's not worth it and the result is not that great. -
I love Milestones for their Bellinis and Calamari to begin with but I really love the patio at this location of Milestones, it overlooks Eaton's Centre and Yonge Dundas Square and I just absolutely love the atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Another discovery I made in Toronto recently is the Embellished Room which is located at 2025 Yonge St. The store number is 416 489 7222. The Embellished Room can be found on the East side of Yonge Street between Eglinton and Davisville. This store sells new clothing from France and EVERYTHING is priced at $29.99. I purchased a couple dresses at this store (pictured above) and have received compliments on both of them since. The salesperson was ultra helpful and just let me take my time and look around and try things on. I highly recommend this store and I will be going back to it again shortly! -

I stumbled upon Poor Little Rich Girl when walking from Yonge/Eg to my favorite sushi spot further down on Yonge closer to Davisville. This is when I came across Poor Little Rich Girl! It was the store front that caught my eye along with the catchy name. My friend and I decided to check out this store and we instantly fell in love with it and most of it's contents. Poor Little Rich Girl is located on the West side of Yonge St between Eglinton and Davisville. The store number is 416 322 7574. Specializing in unique party dresses and the cutest outfits, this boutique is sure to impress. We first went in and purchased matching bracelets for charity pictured above. We then went back a few days later and purchases some other items such as scarves, purses etc. My intention is to make this one of my must visit stores in Toronto when I am looking for a party dress or something girly. The staff is ABSOLUTELY fabulous and friendly and helpful. Check out Poor Little Rich Girl! -

AH HA! This place was TERRIBLE. I went to this restaurant for the first time with AllyChick_Ling a few weeks ago and had high hopes for some yummy food and a relaxing atmosphere and other than the friends I was there with, I did not really enjoy it at all. It did take over 45 mins for our food to arrive and all I had ordered was nachos. I was expecting some killer guacamole (since I love guacamole I am a bit picky when it comes to it) but it was very plain and average (I could have made it in my magic bullet at home). The prices were steep considering what you were getting. The icing on the cake was that both people I was with and myself did not feel well after eating here. I did not get as sick as the others but it is rare that food turns my stomach. Ah well, needless to say, I will NOT be going here again and if anyone I know ever suggests it, I will shoot down their idea in a heartbeat. Such a shame since I like the decor in the place and I thought it would be nice... if someone suggests Chimichanga's my response would definitely be, I would rather starve. -

Artisan Katherine Munro has been a painter most of her like and has turned that talent into a business by silk painting. She can also do custom dying and teaches workshops on the side. Her pieces are unique and well made. I bought a silk scarf necklace that I have received numerous compliments on since I started wearing it. Dakini silks can be found at several retail locations such as: Annie Thompson in Toronto, Art Gallery Nova Scotia Shop in Halifax, Distill Gallery in Toronto, Spree in Halifax, and Instritue of Design Montreal. You should definitely check her pieces out! -
