I stumbled upon Starfire Boutique while a friend from Toronto was visiting me and I took her to Horsehoe Bay (just north of West Vancouver) to see the cute little neighbourhood where the ferries dock. This boutique carries very unique and beautiful finds from local artisans and carry pieces such as textiles, lighting, metal art, jewelry , blown glass etc. If you are looking for a beautiful and unique gift to get someone, this is definitely a place to check out. Starfire is located at 6607 Royal Ave (in Horseshoe Bay) in West Vancouver. You can reach them at 604 922 5510. Check out their website. They have a handful of their pieces on the website but you really have to stop in to fully appreciate all that they carry! -

How ironic that someone rate this! I just received a bottle of this for my birthday about a month or so ago and I LOVE this product. My friend who is an esthetician bought this for me and swears by it... she uses nothing else. I have tried many many moisturizers and have to say within the short amount of time I have been using this product, it is one of the best I have come across thus far. It leaves your skin super soft and smells really good too. -

As a friend and I were driving from Vancouver to Seattle, I did a double take when I saw the sign for the Lululemon Outlet off of the I5 in Burlington WA. I promptly pulled off of the highway and went to check it out. Sure enough, it was an outlet location and turned out to be one of the BEST shopping experiences I have had a Lululemon. They had everything sorted by size then length, then color and the selection was HUGE. It was not just stuff that was older but they had a lot of the stuff that I just saw a few months ago in the Lululemon in West Van. A pair of 3/4 length pants went for approx 29-50 bucks as compared to 50-88. I will TOTALLY be returning to this location again soon. It is totally worth the drive south of our border! -

I enjoy shopping at Hangers in West Vancouver. It is located at 2012 Park Royal South in the South Mall of Park Royal. They carry an array of products that are both surf oriented along with trendy going out outfits. I have purchased a few tops from this store and I always get complimented on them. Some of their pieces are priced a bit highly but they often have sales where you can pick up a really nice piece for next to nothing. I will continue to shop at Hangers in Park Royal because I really like the merchandise they carry. -

I won this in a contest so I got to try this product for free but I have looked up how much it costs and I would definitely spend the money to buy J.R. Watkins Apothecary Lavender Shea Butter for myself once I run out. I found the texture to be silky and nice and it really moisturized my skin. I personally use this product for at home manicures and pedicures. The smell was a bit stronger than I normally like in a shea butter cream but I like the smell of lavender so it did not bother me. I also tend to get beach feet after wearing flip flops all spring and summer long and I found that this product worked wonders on moisturizing and getting rid of cracked heels. Try this product out! -

This is by far the most decadent chocolate ice cream I have ever tasted that I bought at a grocery store!
The texture was smooth and creamy...velvety...and I loved it! This was the biggest hit at the ice cream tasting party that I had! Those who were put off by the dark chocolate label were pleasantly surprised with this ice cream because it was not bitter as they imagined a dark chocolate ice cream may be. I agree with one of the other reviewers that it was rich and it is something you couldn't down a whole box of but it is rich enough that you want to savour small amounts on multiple occasions! Try this ice cream out, if you are a chocolate and an ice cream lover, there is no way you could be disappointed!

I am always iffy when it comes to chocolate cheesecake flavoured ice creams or gelatos. Having said that, I really enjoyed this ice cream. The texture was nice and smooth and I enjoyed the chocolate taste. I do agree with some of the other reviewers on this product though, the chocolate flavour was definitely stronger than the cheese flavour. However, I love chocolate so this was not a problem for me at all! -

If I were having an ice cream party with various flavours I would definitely include this one although as usual the chocolate flavours are top choice for me personally! -

So I have been using one version or the other of the Venus razor since they basically came out and have been happy with them so I did not bother to try any othe Schick razors. In any case, I was walking through Metrotown mall in Burnaby and this lady was handing out goodie bags and the Schick Quattro razor for women was in the bag. I promptly went home and tested it out and I love this product! I have been using this razor for about a month now and their claims of long lasting smoothness because of the dual aloe strips and the 4 blades are all true! I love how the Quattro's pivoting head fits the curves in your legs without causing any knicks along the way. I would highly recommend this product. -

I stumbled upon Burgoo Bistro while I was out in Vancouver at a trade show. Burgoo is located at 3096 Main St and can be reached at (604) 873 1441 or found online at www.burgoo.ca. The sign said Burgoo-food for comfort which at first conjured up images of heavy unhealthy foods but when I went in to check out the menu anyway, I found that they had several lighter dishes. In the end I ordered Oeufs Coquette which included spinach, artichoke, potato and filone with melted Gruyere and Emmenthal with a splash of white wine. The dish was only $12 and came with a side salad. The meal was absolutely delicious!
I would highly recommend Burgoo Bistro to anyone as the food is positively yummy, atmosphere is nice and the prices are affordable. They have three locations, one at 4434 W10th Ave, another at 3 Londsdale Ave and the one that I went to. Grab brunch with a girlfriend at Burgoo, you will glad that you did!
