I agree with the other reviewer, this movie is super cute! I loved the main character who so though he could do anything because he thought he was a superhero...reminds me of my dog that seems to think that he is invincible or at least 10 times his size! hahah anyway, I thought this movie was cute and I am glad I picked up a copy. Warning though, I am a big fan of Pixar and Disney cartoons but this one was a bit of a miss to watch with a guy. He thought it was way more kiddish than any other cartoons I have made him watch. Ah well, I loved it! -

He's Just Not That Into You is a very cute movie! At first I was torn as to whether to watch this or Confessions of a Shopoholic (since they were released around the same time) and I am glad to say that I chose to see He's Just Not that into you. I love how they took the book and made it light and airy but also touched on some important issues and situations. I really love this movie and plan on buying it when it gets out on DVD. I saw it both with a group of girls and with a guy and both loved the movie. Check it out! :o) -

I love the Yaletown Brewing Company! This is the perfect spot to stop in and have a drink or appetizers with friends when you are out walking in Yaletown. The Yaletown Brewing Company is located in the heart of Yaletown. I did not expect much from a pub in terms of food but I was pleasantly surprised that the food here is very very good! They also have quite an extensive drink and cocktail list and of course a selection of beer. This venue also tends to get packed like a nightclub at night. Whether you walk in wearing jeans and a tshirt or dress up like you are going out, you will feel perfectly comfortable at the Yaletown Brew Co. Check this place out the next time you are in Yaletown! -

I went to a meetup group meeting at Taisho Japanese Restaurant on the weekend and I have to say that I was very impressed with this venue. The food was yummy, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was perfect for getting together with a group of friends and chatting over some sushi. Taisho Japanese Restaurant in Burnaby is located in Metrotown mall in Burnaby. We went to see Slumdog millionaire in the afternoon and after that we took the escalator down from the cinema and were right in front of Taisho Japanese Restaurant. This is a great venue for after a movie when you want to grab a bite to eat and discuss what you have just watched. Although we finished our food and continued to chat, I never felt pressured to leave the restaurant as they have plenty of business but plenty of tables too. I recommend this restaurant. Check it out! -

The Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC) is located at the base of Whistler Mountain. The GLC is a combination of a pub by day aand a lounge by night. It has several live bands throughout the year and also plays the latest ski, snowboard and sledding videos to ambient music on most evenings. I highly recommend the tapas such as their tuscetta (very similar but better than any bruscetta I have ever had) and their wahoo chicken. The staff is super friendly and the GLC has an all around great atmosphere. Next time you are in Whistler...check it out!

This is a great great movie. I ended up seeing Slumdog Millionaire twice in a weekend, once with a group of ladies and the second time with my boyfriend! I disagree that a macho man wouldn't like it because mine actually loved it and couldn't stop talking about it after the fact. I think the movie has something for everyone and from the moment it started until the very end I found it gripping and riveting. I would highly recommend seeing this movie. -

A girlfriend of mine was wearing a belt that I fell in love with at a party awhile back. She said it was an Ed Hardy belt so I promptly looked it up on the internet. It was there that I learned about Christian Audier who was born in south France and got into fashion. He has been behind the creative teams for brands such as: Diesel, Kookai, Naf Naf, AE Outfitters, Von Dutch etc. Christian Audigier has taken the tattoo art of Don Ed Hardy and created Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier.
Back to my friend, anyway, she said she got the belt at Winners and picked one up for me! Winners ran out of the yellow belt with the tiger on it that she had but she got me the black geisha koi belt that is pictured above. I am in LOVE with this belt! Not only is the tattoo artistry on it beautiful and vibrant in color but the belt itself is made out of high quality thick leather. Ed Hardy's signature is also stitched onto the end of the belt as a nice detail. The buckle is also interchangeable if you so desire to change it.
Ever since owning this belt I have had several compliments on it and I love it. If you are at a higher end Winners they may have a few (some Winners stores are known to have better stuff that others such as the one in West Van where this was purchased or the one on Bloor St in Toronto). If not, these belts can also be found online but they will be pricier than what you would pay at Winners. Anyway, check it out!

I am never one to really wear body mists because I much rather wear lotion and a bit of perfume. I was given a sample of this product so I decided to give it a try. I tried the cucumber and green tea scent. The scent was light and did not last long but I can see how it would work well to just refresh yourself here and there. I will probably not buy this product again but it's more because I am not a body mist person because of personal preference. -

This product is a multi purpose stick for eyes, cheeks, lips etc. I highly recommend this product and would DEFINITELY buy it again and again. Next time you are looking for a blush or bronzer, pick this product up! You will not be sorry that you did! -

This lotion smells like a blend of Jasmine Tuberose at Mate which is supposed to be uplifting and instill your sense of optimism. The senc on the bottle says Bright Blossoms and to be it smells citrusy which is definitely uplifting. I bought this lotion on a trip to Toronto in the dead of winter when it was gloomy and grey out and this scent definitely does work in terms of being uplifting. It is also very moisturizing. I also picked up a small trial/travel size bottle for $5 to keep in my purse for when you just need the little burst of optimism. Check this product out! -
