I recently discovered Spin Dessert Cafe at Queensway and Islington when a friend recommended it to me. I have to say that I really like the atmosphere of this place and have been back 3 times within the last 10 days! hahaha! I love their prusciutto and goat cheese savoury crepe the best. So when I moved back to Toronto I said I wouldn't buy another hoodie as I amassed quite the collection living in Vancouver for 2 years but when I saw this jacket in Wish Blue, I had to have it. I love that it is colorful (something much needed in the sea of black and grey clothing this fall/winter. I love how this jacket is long for added warmth and the inside made of brushed luon for added softness. It is also surprisely warm and I like the thumbholes to keep your sleeves down and warm...this has an added benefit when you are wearing gloves! My only complain is that it has a collar and a hood which I find looks awesome when it is zipped up (so then just the hood rests on your shoulders) but when it is open, you have a collar and a hood (which sometimes can just look weird...to me anyway). I feel like they should have picked out...hood or big collar. Ah well. -

I love Bourjois eyeshadows. A friend of mine who used to live in England highly recommended this line and squealed when she saw that they now have it in Canada as she used to use it all the time. I purchased the Marron Glace color from Shoppers Drug Mart and my favourite feature of this product is the intensity of pigment it delivers. When I use eye shadows, they quickly absorb into my skin and the color fades unless I put on a coat of primer. This product shows up well even without primer and lasts for quite a long time. I highly recommend this product. LOVE IT. -

I decided I needed to try a new lip balm as it gets colder and drier out and I bought a tube of C.O. Bigelow Ultra Mentha Lip Shine after hearing a saleslady trying to sell it to another customer. I have to say that I am very pleased with this product. It makes my lips very shiny and is very very moisturizing. It is a lip balm and lip gloss rolled into one and I plan to buy this product again in the future. The price can be a bit steep $7.50 when it is not on sale at Bath and Body Works but it goes on sale frequently enough to stock up when it does! -

CoverGirl Outlast Lip Stain was a great disappointment. The stains i tried ended up being very weird in color on my lips, they looked very synthetic and not good. My major complaint with this product is even with the moisturizer applied, this product really really dried out my lips and made them peel to the point where even lip balm now burns. I am stuck applying vaseline to my lips until they heel. I will never buy this product again. Very disappointed. -

I liked all the other Garnier Fructis Color Shield products and hair color but I am not a huge fan of the Garnier Fructis Color Shield Instant color sealer. It worked satisfactorily as a leave in conditioner but I found that with my hair it felt as though it got too greasy too quickly afterward. -

Garnier Fructis Color Shield Shampoo & Conditioner left my hair feeling soft and very manageable. I found that the color in my hair didn't fade as fast as well. I would definitely use this product again. -

I am in love with Softsoap pomegranate and mango hand soap. I am a huge fan of Bath and Body works products and very picky of smells of handsoaps so when I moved into my new house and went to the local grocery store to buy handsoap, I spent a long time trying to figure out which scent I liked the best... Softsoap Pomegranante and Mango hand soap was hands down the best scent in the entire aisle. I like the scent of this soap because it is strong enough but not too strong. It leaves my hands feel soft and obviously clean. I highly recommend this scent of this product! -

I had the opportunity to try out Garnier Nutrisse Cream Hair Color in dark brown from the Product Review Club. After a summer of bleaching highlights into my hair and moving from one province to another (one that has hard water and one with soft water)... my hair looked like a scarecrow. I then decided that since the Fall is upon us, I needed to dye my hair back close to its natural color. There are a few things I look for in a hair color... I like better when it is a cream instead of a liquid because the cream tends to stay where you put it and not run all down your neck. I also am picky about the smell of hair dye products, it shouldn't be too strong or sting my eyes. I found that this product smelled fine. The gloves with this product were not awkward gloves that are 20 sizes too big so I was impressed with that as well. The number one thing I look for with a hair color is staying power and so far so good... my hair still looks the fabulous shade of deep brown that it did the day I dyed it. I recommend this product and would use it again.
