Whenever I use this product, it gives my skin that tingly, fresh feeling during application and after the final rinse. I would not say that it combats the pores quite effectively because one of my major skin concerns are my pores. I have combination to oily skin type, and I thought that this product does not dry out my skin. In terms of clearing blemishes, it does an okay job as I only break out on my chin area.    -
