Nothing really ever works for my hair so I was a bit skeptical when the hairstylist told me about this product. I have very frizzy hair and wavy.
She put it through my hair, smelled great and didn't feel a thing like those gunky hairsprays. It kept my hold bouncing through the event but once I got out into the rain, I got the poof. :(
The next day, I wore it into work (no rain, no humidity, just perfect) but I noticed that although my hair still had bounce, it started getting frizzy again.
Nothing will greatly help this head of hair BUT it make s a huge difference when you do your hair and it holds and bounces vs. holds and doesn't move.
Great product, just doesn't help with frizz....which is OK.

This cereal tastes so good and makes me nice and full. The raisins are great quality and easy to eat (not hard like many other cereals).

I use the Coppertone 70 on my daughter and I use this on myself. I use to never wear sunscreen until one day I got a horrible burn and decided I never wanted to go through that again. I don't like a lot of the sunscreen because you have to apply it so often and it's always so greasy but this, is not. It goes onto my skin nicely and I don't have stuff sticking to me like when I use other lotions.
Love it.

Generally I use three pumps and I could probably use two but three has always worked well for me. It works with my skin perfectly. Not impressed with the price because it is a bit hefty but it works well so I can't complain.

I have a best friend, and that best friend is coffee and I hate weekends because it means that I have to get up, walk to the coffee shop and get my daily fix of coffee. It’s brutal in the cold yet even when it’s nice and warm out, I just want my cup of coffee as soon as I wake up….weekends are for relaxing, not walking, right?
I’ve had many coffee machines but none as good as this one and I am so thankful I’ve been able to try this baby out.
Starbucks Verismo is a sleek looking, compact single serve coffee machine that simply put, makes great coffee. It’s heats up so quickly and actually keeps my coffee hot for much longer than other coffee/espresso makers.
Press the on button, lift the lever, drop in the pod, close the lever, press the botton and just watch a great cup of coffee being prepared within about 30 seconds. I was absolutely shocked at how close these coffees with this system actually taste to what you would get at Starbucks. First I had a latte – it was a bit weaker than normal but don’t normally have regular lattes so it was hard to compare but when it came to the dark and blonde coffees, it was almost identical.
Once the pods have been used, they are added to the bin which is inside the system, You can easily dump them out by pulling off the front bottom of the machine. It holds up to 10 empty pods but make sure pay attention to the area underneath the cup holder. The water that gets mixed with the coffee/milk pods, drips into the bottom so don’t let it sit there for long. Yuck!
If you have a frother, you don’t have to worry about using the 2% milk pods that come with some of the lattes. Frother up some milk and add a few espresso shots to it and you have a great lattte!
Con: I don’t find that the lattes are very good and you can’t use any other pods except Starbucks.
At a price of approx $150.00, unless you are a super Starbucks freak (like me), you might want to go with a more versatile, less expensive option.

Deep down inside, for as long as I can remember, I’ve always wished I could be a marine biologist. Surprisingly I aced my science classes. Of course, life got in the way and bills had to be paid and well let’s say, I am not a marine biologist.
A few years back, I walked by the site where they were preparing to build the aquarium, right below the CN Tower. I was so excited to go in but at that time it was jut a big hole in the ground…..no sharks yet. 2 years later it was finally here. Regardless of what day you go, you will quickly be immersed in not only a sea of 16,000 aquatic animals but hundreds of people with their faces squished up against the (what seems like) 5 foot thick glass, all trying to get a great glimpse of all the fish, sharks and turtles that are gracefully swimming in their tanks.
Thankfully we had the chance to go in two hours before they actually opened so the place was pretty much ours. It took us about 2.5 hours to go through the entire space. Note that it was 2.5 hours with myself and a less than 2 year old who doesn’t care about the other fun, interactive games they had there; I’m sure it would have been much longer if she could participate in the other fun. By the time we left and got back to the entrance/exit, you could hear the excited kids at the entrance just waiting to get into see all the fish.
It can be such a memorizing experience that everyone should get the chance to see. I’m truly thinking about getting a yearly membership…even if it’s just for myself. It is the perfect place to just relax and take in the beauty (aside from excited screaming children). I caught myself bringing my daughter back to the “cave” area to just stare at all of these amazing creatures. I can’t begin to explain the amount of fish that were in this aquarium but it was a lot and it was amazing. Unfortunately my brain couldn’t stop thinking of a contingency plan if one of the big aquariums broke….
“Where we would we run?”
“Would it break if we were on the bottom floor and could we get to the top in time?”
“Would a shark hit us or even worse, bite us if it was out of the tank?”
“Should I stick my hand in this tank and possibly get stung by a Stingy Ray?”
“Realistically, could that thing bite my head off? How bad would it hurt?”
And so on……crazy, I know. It makes me wonder if I’m the only crazy person that thinks like that. I wouldn’t be surprised.

For women (and men) who have curly or wavy hair, having a good flat iron is very important. A lot of flat irons out there just don’t work as well as they say they do. Many I’ve used have pulled my hair, made my hair frizzy and couldn’t get hot enough to keep the hair straight.
Over 6 years ago, I purchased a CHI at a local Breast Cancer charity event and from that day forward, I have loved it. I’ve never purchased other straightening irons but have tried them (when I’m at my sisters) which is why I say they can’t compare with the CHI. My current CHI has lasted 6 years but is starting to pull my hair some and I’m noticing that it’s not getting as hot, therefore is making my hair not as silky and straight as quickly as it did before so I’m lucky to have received this product now. It’s perfect for when I’m trying to get ready and get my kid ready at the same time. Shaving off even 3 minutes is amazing for me.
This CHI Air flat iron features floating plates for smooth use and reduces static and frizz for shiny, healthy-looking hair. This Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron utilizes the latest innovative technology combining Tourmaline Ceramic with even heat distribution, producing an exceptionally high amount of negative ions and Far Infrared which reduce static electricity for that perfect style. 1″ Flat Iron Plates
Doesn’t pull at your hair!
With my current hair situation (which is very long, wavy and sometimes very curly), it can take time to get my hair straight. With my current 6 year old CHI, it takes about 5 – 7 minutes but with the CHI AIR, it took me less than 3 minutes. In this video I fast tracked the process so you didn’t have to watch the whole three minutes of meet straightening my hair and talking at the same time but it shows you the before and after in just three minutes. Take note that my hair is normally very wavy before I brush it. The image in this video is what my hair looked like after I brushed it for a few minutes. Notice that for some reason the whole process of my actually straightening my hair is not showing. I’ve been working to figure what the problem is but if you forward through that process to the end, you can see what it ended up looking like.
This CHI AIR comes at a cost of $99.99 at most places

What I Loved: It’s small and takes up very little counter space.
What I Didn’t Love: It was very loud.
Thanks to Dr. Phil talking about this Ninja after mentioning his 20 / 20 Diet book, I ran out the same day and bought one.
Walmart had a lot of options for the Ninja. They had about four different kinds ranging from basic at $40.00 to professional at $100.00 – I was so confused that I just bought the most basic one which conveniently was the cheapest one. Yay cheap!
This Nutri Ninja is a small, single-serve, pulsing blender that packs a punch when it comes to blending almost anything. For such a little machine, it’s quite loud! It has 600 Watts of blending power. It comes with 2 single serve cups in which you can attach the blade attachment to the cup, blend it then remove it and place the cover and take it to go. There is no seal clasp to stop it from pouring out of the spout for those times you accidentally tip your cup which most likely happens when you place it in your purse. This, should be fixed.
If you don’t get time to see the video below, just a quick tip: Make sure you check out the types of recipes they have on their website at www.ninjakitchen.com before you go ahead and buy it and think you can make just anything, even as simple as a frozen blended drink or just a smoothie, unless you’re a pro.
This, my friends, is why I am NOT a cook. I can’t even work a blender!
Now even though I couldn’t manage to get this machine working the first try, I still think it would be a great addition to anyone’s kitchen that is looking for just a basic yet powerful single serve blender.

Crocs were created in 2002 and can be seen on people’s feet all over the world. As the years have gone by, their styles have become much more diverse from when they first started out. I mean, Croc Wedges? I can feel the comfort right now. This could mean I could actually dress up in my skirt suit and not be stuck wearing bright pink running shoes all day just for some comfort.
When I first heard the word Crocs or saw someone wearing a pair, the first thing that came to my mind was a green pair of rubber shoes that would probably make your feet sticky & stinky. Well, I was proven wrong once I was told to pick my pairs online. They have over 300 styles – everything from hot pink to camouflage. Looking for a fashionable boot to wear with a cute outfit or a pair to wear while flinging snowballs at the passer-bys for a few hours in the frigged cold? Crocs will most likely have it.
Along with the amount of colors and styles they have, they have warm shoes, too. It’s Crocs on the outside and fuzzy on the inside. There are no holes on the outside of these shoes that are in the regular Crocs as that kind of defeats the purpose of having fuzz inside your shoes. They remind me of slippers. Slippers that not only kept your feel warm but ones that you could travel around the city in.
So when I picked these out, I picked out my favorite color, pink. It’s a light pink and it has the fuzz on the inside. I was also able to pick a pair out for Kinsley so it was my chance to choose something for us that was the same.
When they came in, I was ecstatic! I first put Kinsley’s pair on and they slipped on easily. The back strap on the back was a bit tight to put over the back of her ankle but once I got the hang of it, I had no problems. I had her walk in them a bit and thankfully she walked without issues. Some shoes on her can be uncomfortable and she ends up walking really slow or dragging her feet. None of that with these Crocs.
Then I put mine on. As I was sliding me feet into them, I knew I was going to fall in love. They slid in like slippers and they fit like a charm. I first thought they’d just slip off my feet, especially because they were filled with fuzz plus I had socks on but somehow they make these to fit so nicely on your feet but firm enough so they don’t slip off.
They definitely had the Crocs feel. What I mean by that is that if you have ever tried a pair on, even just to see what they feel like, they have a certain feel to them like you are stepping on a plastic type material filled with air.
“Crocs™ shoes feature Croslite™ material, a proprietary, revolutionary technology that gives each pair of shoes the soft, comfortable, lightweight and odor-resistant qualities that Crocs fans know and love.”
The odor-resistant qualities is something that peaked my interest. Since I have the fuzz Crocs, this shouldn’t apply as my feet are actually hitting the fuzz and not the outer material. While wearing these (a lot) out in the cold, my feet stayed nice a toasty warm. A few times they were really hot but it was a bit cold out so I definitely wasn’t complaining. As these are easy slip on and off (with some force), once my feet got really hot, I just slipped them out for a second to let my feet breathe then off to walking again.
So, it’s the middle of winter and as long as there is no slush slopping up the city streets in Toronto, I’m pretty sure I’ll wear these until they rip or tear, if that’s even possible. These things are warming than my UGGS.
Overall I love these. I am actually looking forward to finding one of their stores to try on a pair of their boots – I’d like to see if they feel the same as the shoes. Although they might not be the style that some people are searching for, it’s definitely a shoe that should be given a chance. They have some
Now, where are those heels?

My lips use to be suckers for when the cold weather hit. I would constantly be licking my lips and then one day I’d crack a smile, no pun intended, and the pain from my lip splitting down the middle was horrible. Of course I’d start to lick my lips more hoping they’d stay wet and not crack even more. It was a never-ending cycle until I could find lip balm.
There are many types of lip balm out there. My go-to balm is from Burts Bees but recently I was able to try a bunch of EOS Lip Balms and here’s my low down.
The Good
EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm is 100% natural and 95% organic. There are no chemicals, dyes or flavorings in them. They contain shea butter and Vitamin E to sooth and nourish dry lips. These little balls of fun are so cute. The soft color of the spheres go hand in hand with how the balm actually feels on your lips and in your hands.
Opening the spheres is easy, just turn and it’s pulled apart. The sphere itself is very soft and silky and when you glide the balm across your lips, it feels just as nice. You don’t have to put layers of this on your lips in order to fully cover them. I just pucker up and glide over two times. That’s all it takes. As these things are oval in shape, the size of the balm actually is big enough to cover your upper and lower lip at the same time. They do have the sticks that work the same and just as well but the spheres are just more fun to have and a bit more funky.
The fragrance of many of these products is great. My favorite of all time is the mint but there are so many other products that EOS has that have an amazing smell to them and with the balm, when your tongue actually touches the balm, you get a small taste of it. Nothing overpowering and nothing gross – it’s just something cool added to the already cool product itself. Now remember, this is only with the lip balms, please do NOT try and eat the lotions, shaving creams or any other product that EOS might come out with unless they say it’s OK. Some of their hand lotions I was provided smell so good that it makes you want to lick them but I highly recommend against it.
The Not So Good
If you have kids who are at the “Oooooh….EGGS!” stage or anything to do with balls, pulling these out in front of them could cause a raging storm. They look fun to play with for kids and as my daughter saw me taking these pictures, she wanted to play with them. I didn’t think it would hurt so I sat her down so she could play. Of course she ended up getting them a part then trying to put them together and in the midst of it, she took off half of the balm in the sphere from trying to put the sphere back together. Now when I put this on my lips, I have to make sure that she doesn’t see it because she’ll start a hissy-fit if I don’t give them to her.
The Best
When you’re digging through your purse or pocket to grab your lip balm, it’s quick and easy to find this little ball of fun rather than grabbing those crayons, tampons, pens or other cylindrical items that feel exactly like a stick of balm before you actually get to the stick of balm. I think I find this almost instantly as my hand gets to the bottom of my purse rather than the 3 minutes I spend rummaging around trying to find the stick. Just don’t stick them in your pants pocket or your bra like some of us women do. That just doesn’t have a good look to it.
More Details
You can pick them up at a lot of drug stores and Walmart (in Canada) or go online to Amazon or their website to order.
Price: Approximately $3.50 US (on their website)
