Most of the time Tim Hortons has fresh and crispy croissants in both plain and cheese varieties. I have tried them heated up with butter, but you can't beat a plain croissant. Just make sure you're eating over a plate or outside, otherwise your top will be covered in delicious croissant flakes! I like to use these for sandwiches as well. Adds a little something extra.
Although you can get fresher croissants from a bakery, it is relatively to easy to find a Tim Hortons very close to you wherever you are.

This is my go-to order at McDonalds. I've even tried a Double Big Mac, but the regular Big Mac is where it's at. The beef is from Canada, buns are fresh and toasted, and it is normally made how I like it (with very few toppings). It is definitely a comfort food and reminds me of when I was younger. When I was a kid McDonalds even had kids meals with pizzas and they were so delicious. Now I turn to the Big Mac! Juicy and delicious. -

Starbucks Strawberries & Crème Frappucino

I didn't know how to categorize this drink because it's not really coffee, but it's not any of the other choices. I suppose it's kind of like a smoothie, but it's only a strawberry puree base. Anyways, this is one of my favourite things to order at Starbucks as I'm not a huge fan of coffee and the current special frappuccinos (Mint Mocha and Smores - I tried the Smores and I really wasn't a fan because of the chocolate syrup).
The prices are quite high but I use the Starbucks app and earn points towards free items and keep tabs on any promotions they might be having for extra stars (how they manage their rewards). I'm not sure if this drink can be made to be vegan or non-fat, but it is delicious and creamy in its standard form. The strawberries come through and together with the creme it's a classic mix. I do often recommend this drink to friends who haven't tried it and will purchase again.

I was so excited to see Haribo Starmix for sale at Shoppers Drug Mart the other day that I needed to come on here and write a review. I used to buy packages of them all the time when I lived in England, but hadn't seen them since I got back. Canadian stores regularly stock the Haribo cola bottle and gummy bear varieties, but not this one. The Starmix package comes with gummy bears, rings, fried eggs, cola bottles, and red hearts. It's a nice combination of different sweet tastes. Their slogan is "Kids and grown-ups love it so" and they're not wrong!
The packages are in both English and French so it looks like Haribo has plans to start selling these in different businesses across Canada.

I received a bottle of CND Vinylux Weekly Polish in the shade Field Fox #185 in my ChickAdvisor Premium Welcome Bag. I also received a bottle of the accompanying top coat. I wasn't sure about the colour (light brown) because I'm normally more of a pink, red, purple nail polish gal, but I was surprised but how much I liked it on my nails. It looks very professional and reminds me of when Princess Mia is presented in the Princess Diaries - just makes me feel classy.
At first I was a bit skeptical because the second coat of the polish seemed a bit streaky and heavy. However, once I applied the top coat my nails looked amazing and they are so shiny, as promised! I"ll be surprised if they last a whole week but they're doing really well on day 2. Usually by now I've knocked into something or chipped my nails, but they're still going strong.
I would love to try these polishes in brighter colours, but as I saw them at Shoppers for $15 I'm not sure how often I would splurge on them. I will definitely recommend these to friends and will likely purchase again.

I received the MasterCamo Color Correcting Kit for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club. I'm still a bit on the fence about its ability to camouflage imperfections on my face, but it has worked reasonably well so far. I have fairly dry skin and as the product is more of a paste than a liquid, my face still looks dry and cakey with it on. I'm sure this would look much better on someone with a more even complexion or oily skin. If I moisturize more perhaps the paste would blend in better without looking cakey. I really like that it has six pastes that do different things - I struggle with redness often so the green and yellow "correct" ones have been helping. The bottom conceal and highlight options are too dark for me, but with a brush and some bronzer I think they would look great. I think I would recommend this to friends and will likely purchase it again. -

I received this color sensational inti-matte nudes lipstick in shade 550 honey pink free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club #gotitfree. Unfortunately this shade didn't look right on my skin tone, but I would definitely want to try it in other matte nude colours, as I normally stick to the more neutral colours. On my lips and against my skin it looked a bit too orange. It lasted at least three hours without smudging or really losing pigment, though it did dry out my lips. The smell is quite strong which might bother some people who are sensitive to fragrance. I would probably recommend this to friends for whom honey pink would work better, and I am going to check out the other shades at the drugstore next time I go. I could see this looking fantastic on someone with darker skin for sure. -

I received this product free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club #gotitfree. I didn't really know what to expect when I saw that this was a liquid highlighter, having only used pressed powder highlighters in the past. Well, in shade 100 light/iridescent, this blew my mind! You only need such a small amount of product to produce an almost intergalactic look on your cheekbones. I don't think I would put it on my nose like it says on the packaging, but I was extremely pleased with the way it accented my cheekbones. I just used my fingertip to apply and rub in, but I think this would be even better with a dedicated brush. I will recommend to friends and family, and tell them to buckle up for a crazy ride! I love products that allow me to show my personality and what is more fun than having honest to goodness glitter on your face?
The packaging says it has a best before date of 12 months, but as such a small amount is needed, I hope I can use it all in time!
