I received this product free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club #gotitfree. I was pleasantly surprised to be chosen for this luxe Maybelline pack that included five items. While it did give me instant volume with just one pass of the brush, as it promises, it got clumpy quite quickly. I am wondering if it's because the brush was stored inside the mascara rather than outside as with other mascaras - in those cases you are opening the product for the first time when you put the brush in. As you can see in the picture I uploaded, my eyelashes don't have a lot of natural curl or volume, so even with the clumps I like the results. I think they would look even better with an eyelash curler. The shade 223 blackest black doesn't disappoint, as it is very dark. I think with a few small changes to avoid clumps this could be a five star product. I would recommend to friends and family. -

Although it was too dark to use with the lipstick I received with my chickadvisor package, it looked great with a darker pink shade of lipstick I received in my premium welcome bag. The lip liner itself is a great pink colour that can match with a lot of lipsticks, and it applies like a dream. It's very smooth and creamy which makes the application process quick and easy, and it's not at all sharp like lip liners and eye liners I've used before. I would definitely purchase the Maybelline New York Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liner again in other shades, and will recommend to friends.

I was able to find a bottle of this in the light pink shimmery shade, 030 beginner's luck, in a clearance bin at Rexall for just $0.97! Unfortunately the shade is not very pigmented and even with two coats, it just looks like I have a bit of shimmer on. I think this would be great on top of a darker colour. However, so far it is living up to its role as both colour and base, and hasn't chipped. I would like to try a darker colour. -

I am really digging The Body Shop's new line of 100% vegan face masks. I received this British Rose mask and the Himalayan Charcoal Mask as free samples from a promotion on their Facebook page. I am so glad they offered this because both of the masks have performed very well. While I didn't notice a plumping effect that the mask mentions on the packaging, it definitely does moisturize the skin and the rose petals, essence and rosehip oil smell absolutely DIVINE! Another great thing about their masks is how affordable they are, especially compared to the higher end brands available at Sephora. I have still a few more uses out of the samples and I can't wait to use them again! -

I am SO glad I saw the Facebook post for free samples of this mask and the rose mask. Both of them are fantastic and I can't believe I've been able to wait this long to use my samples! The directions recommend leaving the himalayan charcoal mask on for 5-10 minutes, but after about 7 minutes my face was extremely taut, so I washed it off. You could see every pore in my T-Zone and it was really effective at purifying and exfoliating my skin. I followed it with the British Rose Fresh Plumping Face Mask to rehydrate the other areas of my skin. Will likely be purchasing a full size pot once I've finished some other products. -

One word: Yum! I've been chomping on the fruit flavoured Mentos since I was a kid, and I still can't get enough. I love that I can pick up a packet almost anywhere, and can get them quite cheaply at Dollarama. While they have no nutritional value whatsoever, they're a nice fruity snack and I really like the chewy texture. I would be curious to try them in other colours, and if they decided to make some softer chew candies I would try them as well! -

I have to stock up on Bubblemint gum when I go to the Dollar Store because it's always great to have on hand. I'm not a fan of the overly flavoured gums with cinnamon and strong fruit flavours because they lose it so quickly. The Bubblemint flavour sticks around, and I can usually find it for under $0.80 so the price is definitely right. It's not great for blowing bubbles but ideal for covering up some strong breath after lunch or dinner. -

Ben & Jerry's Half Baked has replaced Haagen Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter as my new favourite ice cream! I can often find it on sale in the supermarket, and that's generally the only time I will buy it. I love the mixture of chocolate and vanilla ice cream and the many large pieces of brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough! A great dessert and I've just seen that there is a peanut butter half baked version out there just waiting for someone like me to buy it. Perfection! -

My teeth have felt less sensitive to hot or cold food and drinks, and just stronger than before. Pronamel is helping to protect my teeth from fizzy drinks and acidic foods, and the fresh wave scent leaves my mouth feeling very clean. I would recommend this to friends and family and will definitely purchase again. Sensodyne for sensitive teeth is great, but Pronamel is my new standard. It really lives up to its claims - I haven't had a cavity since using it regularly this past year. -

I have loved these Payday bars since I was a kid. Unfortunately, I can no longer find them in Canada. Last time my parents went to the States, they bought me a case, and I was in heaven! It's not a chocolate bar, it's peanuts stuck together with caramel and it's just delicious. Coming in at 240 calories, it's about the same as any of the other major chocolate bars. I would recommend to friends and purchase again. I have seen similar type bars available in Canada and they are manufactured by Planters. They are also delicious but my second choice after Paydays. -
