I was super excited to try this vegan mascara that I received as a gift from Chickadvisor and Butterly in exchange for my honest review. Although I appreciate the vegan and natural ingredients, including the sustainable materials used for the wand and packaging, I found that the mascara still had the characteristics of other mascaras, I.e. strong smell and irritated my eyes. It was average at making my lashes look more voluminous and long, so considering that and the smell and the way it irritated my eyes, I couldn't rate this higher than 2 stars. I wouldn't recommend this to others, but would be interested to try other vegan formula mascaras. -

I was very grateful for the opportunity to try a sample size of Cover Girl's new Clean Fresh Weightless Water Cream thanks to ChickAdvisor, Butterly and Covergirl.
I have combination skin and find many moisturizers to be too heavy for my t-zone, but gel creams such as this one from covergirl are better suited to my skin. While I didn't like the slushy texture of it and it didn't provide 72 hours of hydration, it did make my skin feel softer, smoother, and healthier for the first 12 hours. I was only able to get two uses out of the sample, but I think it would be suitable for all skin types and would be worth purchasing a full size.

I was grateful for the opportunity to try Dove Care by Plants Deodorant in Sandalwood thanks to ChickAdvisor, Butterly, and Dove. It didn't work well for me, but I appreciated the 99% natural origin, aluminum free, paraben free, baking soda free formula and the sandalwood scent. I was hopeful that a deodorant would work for me, but with the amount I sweat, I really need a combination anti-perspirant and deodorant. I might still keep trying to use this deodorant at home when I know I'm not going to be sweating as much, and perhaps my body will get used to it. I'm not sure I would recommend this to others, but if you're looking for a natural deodorant, don't sweat much, and enjoy the smell of sandalwood, it could be worth a try. On the plus side, this didn't irritate my skin at all, so it's consistent with Dove's other deodorants that are gentle on the skin. -

A little goes a long way with the Neutrogena Boost Illuminating Serum, even using 3-4 drops twice per day. Having the dropper as an applicator is very useful as I would be tempted to use much more of the product each time without it. After exfoliating with the polish, after just one week the serum brightened, smoothed, and made my skin receptive to absorbing the gel cream.
As with the gel cream and moisturizer, the price point for the serum is quite high for a drug store brand, but is currently on sale. I think the value for money is quite good considering how many uses each bottle contains with 3-4 drops twice per day. I would recommend this serum to others and will likely be purchasing it again once this one runs out.

Although Bright Boost Moisturizer has a formula that easily absorbs into the skin and has the great benefit of having 30 SPF, I didn't find that it worked very well for my dull combination skin specifically. I didn't find that it adequately moisturized my skin, no matter how much of the product I used. In terms of value for money, the price point for this moisturizer is too high when considering the small size of the container. At drug stores it is priced the same as the gel cream but is only 30mL compared to the gel cream's 50mL which absorbs into the skin better, and even reduced in sale prices is still quite high.
Using the four products in the line altogether did make my skin smoother and brighter, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend the moisturizer specifically to those with combination skin such as myself.

For use in the mornings and evenings, this gel cream forms an essential part of the four step bright boost process, and is applied after the serum. The gel cream is perfect for moisturizing, smoothing, and brightening my dull combination skin that responds better to gel than thicker lotion formulas. The gel cream has the same light scent as the other products in the line and the formula is gentle on the skin. Used together after the exfoliant and the serum, the result is noticeably smoother and brighter skin. Although not advertised as one of the effects, I also found it made my pores look smaller, which is something I've struggled with before and could only be replicated with primers.
I would recommend this gel cream to others and will definitely be purchasing it again. As with the other products in the line, the gel cream is a bit pricier than other drug store brands, but the quality is excellent and I've seen it go on sale at local drug stores twice already.

It's been quite a harsh winter for my skin and I hadn't been giving it the TLC it deserved, so for the past month I've noticed my skin being quite rough and dull. Using the Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish significantly improved the texture of my skin and brightened it after just one use. The product packaging recommends the use of the micro polish 1-3 times per week, but as it is so gentle, I think all skin types would benefit most from using it the maximum of 3 times per week or even from daily use after cleansing your face. The formula gets its gentle nature from being alcohol-free and from the texture of the naturally-derived exfoliating particles in the polish.
The price point for this resurfacing micro polish is a bit higher than similar drug store exfoliant brands, but it is good value for money when one considers the results achieved.
All of the products in this line have the same clean smelling scent which is pleasant and doesn't linger for too long on the skin. My skin can be temperamental, so I was very pleased that the exfoliant was gentle enough while still providing brightening results. I would recommend Neutrogena Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish to all skin-types and will definitely be purchasing this product again.

I was thrilled to receive a bottle of Motrin Super Strength Liquid Gels free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club #gotitfree as I'm always looking for ways to handle cramps more effectively.
When used as directed, one dose of Motrin Super Strength Liquid Gels works quickly and effectively to relieve menstrual cramps as well as body aches and migraines that come up while you're on your period. I found the relief to be relatively long lasting at 6 hours compared to regular Ibuprofen doses and other medications. I would recommend Motrin to those experiencing painful periods as it works on a variety of types of pain quickly.
In terms of value for money, it is very effective but comes in at a higher price point than similar products for menstrual pain. There are other products that provide relief for closer to 12 hours, but Motrin comes a close second for long-lasting pain relief.
My one criticism would be that the lid for the bottle, although noted to be child-proof, is quite loose and could come off if you're carrying it in your purse. It might be best to transfer the pills to a more secure pill case if you're taking them on the go.

If you're looking for a gentle peel off mask, this could be the one for you! It feels very soothing going on, and doesn't harden making your face feel very tight like many other leave-on masks. The soy and pomegranate combine to make for a very relaxing treat yourself experience. Just set your timer for 15-20 minutes, and you're on your way to skin that's purified and matte. I found that the trick was to apply a large amount at once because trying to add more product on as another layer didn't work, as it dries very quickly. Without a thick layer, it's a bit difficult to peel off, but not impossible. If possible, the formula could be improved by not drying so quickly so that it's easier to apply the correct amount of product.
In terms of price and value, it is on trend with the rest of the Aveeno line, and if on sale or on offer with loyalty programs, the price point isn't too high for the quality and results you get. I noticed a definite difference and glow to my skin after using it, which my skin desperately needed after Ottawa's never ending winter. I would recommend this to people with oily skin primarily, but it can exfoliate and purify all types of skin exposed to pollution. As a gentle product, I would recommend this to those with sensitive skin as well. I'm looking forward to trying the Positively Radiant and Absolutely Ageless versions of Aveeno's peel off mask as well to help with dry patches and tired looking skin.

There are a lot of great things about the three original flavours of Breyers Delights that they brought out last year - low calorie, great tasting, easy to find in stores - but the addition of these three new flavours makes these even better! Coming in at just 80 calories per 125mL (only 320 calories for the whole container), and tasting absolutely delicious, you don't have to sacrifice good taste for lower calorie desserts. I would recommend Breyers Delights to anyone and everyone, and can't wait to try the Caramel Brownie and Raspberry Fudge flavours they've brought out recently too. The one hesitation I would have is the price - at full price at most retailers the price point is slightly high for the quantity, but if it were on sale I wouldn't hesitate to buy Breyers Delights often. Thanks to Breyers and ChickAdvisor for the opportunity to try Breyers Delights Vanilla Cupcake.
