My husband and I LOVE LOVE LOVE The Melting Pot. We go several times a year to enjoy the atmosphere and delicious food. If you haven't experienced fondue at The Melting Pot, you must save up and do it at least once in your life. Yes, it's quite expensive. For a 4 course meal, wine, and tip, it costs us around $130 each time we go. However, if you're a fan of theirs on FaceBook, they sometimes do drawings for free dinners. I actually won one last year!
Your dinner starts with a salad. Their house dressing is quite delicious. Then you get to choose a cheese. I've tried them all and the basic cheddar is our favorite. You get fruit and breads to use for dipping.
For the main course you choose the feast and the cooking style. Again, we have tried them all and our favorite is definitely the mojo style. It has a hint of citrus and is amazing.
For dessert... well, thats the best part! Any of them are amazing. My personal favorite is the Smores. They are always featuring a new one and every one I've tried has been awesome.
Go make a reservation now :)

Ladies & Gentlemen, Children of all ages...
WELCOME TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!!!
In myy opinion, Ringling Bros. IS the circus. I had the opportunity this past weekend to take my children to the show here in Nashville after my mother bought tickets from a friend who's daughter got sick and they couldn't attend. WOW! We got 2nd row seats for $15 each.... and the lady paid nearly $45 a piece for them from TicketMaster. I was so excited to experience this with my kids, husband, and my mother. I hadn't been to Ringling Bros since I was about 9 years old. I do remember is being amazing!
Barnum's Funundrum is the theme of this scheduled tour and consists of acts based from all countries around the world so that the audience can experience many different cultures. I thoroughly enjoyed the multicultural aspect of the entire show.
My first impression when walking into the arena was immediate excitement. They had the usual flashy and fun souveneir booths to purchase light swords, stuffed animals, tshirts, ect. Of course they were extremely over priced but my spoiled son got something from my mom... a $20 sword!!! It's cool, don't get me wrong, but for that price, yikes! However, he loves it and has played with it every day since. Not to mention my 2 month old daughter enjoys the lights on it as well.
Now, on to our seats!!! When we arrived they the circus floor open to the audience to try on clown costumes and take pictures, pet and ride elephants, other games, and you could even enter to win elephant art! If you have never seen or heard of elephant art, its quite spectacular. Elephants are literally given a paintbrush and away they go. However, purchasing this art is close to $400!!! I didn't have a chance to enter to win, but I sure wish I had.
As soon as we got to our seats they began cleaning up the pre-show and had clowns doing the usual small entertainment during this time. One of the clowns (who was extremely nice) came to greet my children. This was especially great because my son is terrified of clowns but after meeting this nice fella, he turned to me and said "Mommy, the clowns ARE nice. I like him!". He also informed me that I could go to Ringling.com and sign my infant up for the baby club and they get something special. So I did that, and guess what?!? You can a free ticket for your baby for any time, any where, absolutely no expiration date!!! So I can use it when she is 3 if I want (which I will do because ages 2 and under get in free)! This is sooo cool. Go do it!
Then it was time for THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH to begin! The ringmaster was fantastic, as was his little sidekick, who was entertaining during the whole show!
The circus train came roaring through with lots of music, and getting to see all of the acts that would be performing! This was really fun....
I can't even remember all of the acts but I will certainly share some of our favorite moments....
The Torres Family did the amazing motorcycle ball with 7 bikes.... yes 7!!! It was awesome! My son especially enjoyed this...
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in The Flying Caceres. They must have been having a bad night because twice, the guy hanging upside down, did not catch the other person! I'm sure they aren't always perfect though!
Might Meetal was great! He held over 1200 lbs!!!! My husband was in awe as this man balanced all of this weight!
We especially loved the extremely balancing acts. It was mind bending to watch this people balance, and bend in such unatural ways!
There is sooooo much more to tell but I must leave something for you to see if you attend a show this year! I do recommend taking your children, however... don't pay the prices for the close seats. You can see just as well from a higher, less expensive seat.
Check the ticket requirements for ages at the venue as well... most places allow children under 2 to attend without a ticket, as long as they don't use a chair.
Check our their website at Ringling.com and go like them on FaceBook as well!

Who needs a broom? Not me!!! I have something 10 times better than any broom!
Years ago one of my friends bought one of these lightweight stick vacuums for our preschool classroom to clean up after the children easier. I finally bought myself one on Black Friday this past year for $8 at Walmart!!!! Seriously, the best $8 I ever spent. I got home and pulled it out of the box in a few pieces. My three year old son was even able to put it together because it was so simple to do. Once I turned it on, I could not believe how powerful it was for such a small lightweight vacuum! To heck with a broom, when you have this awesome thing. I don't know why I didn't buy one sooner.
It is so easy to use that my son begs me to vacuum his own room every single day. Of course I let him! What I love most is that I can use it so easily on hard surfaces and the lightweight rugs all throughout my house without worrying about it sucking the rug up, like my regular vacuum, but still getting the job done. I use it more than I use my heavy duty vacuum cleaner.
What I love about my 3-in-1 Stick Vac:
-Weighs less than 4 lbs for easy use
-Converts to a hand vac
-Cleans Carpet, Upholstery, Bare Floors, Stairs, Low Pile Carpet
-Easy to empty canister
-Comes in tons of different colors (Red, Blue, Silver, Lime Green)
You can buy it in all major retail stores for around $23.00!
If you don't already have one, you must purchase one ASAP!

If you're anything like me, you are all about having awesome hair! Lucky for me, one of my best friends owns the best salon around here and has been doing my hair for years and always suggests the best products for me. I get compliments everywhere I go.
However, my hair is not always straight and sleek. I don't have curly hair but from all the color I've used throughout the years, it's damaged in some places and I have those annoying fly aways! You know what I'm talking about. I'm not going to lie, I have been a devoted Paul Mitchell user for very long. I own a really awesome Paul Mitchell dryer and straightener (and believe me ladies, if you don't own a really good straightener, it is worth every penny and REALLY does make a difference). I have used Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny serum for a long time to protect my hair from all the heat of my straightener since I use it every day. I will always love Super Skinny. No lie.
BUT, my friend introduced me to something new a few weeks ago. It's a lot like Super Skinny but not as "greasy".
Sebastian's Potion 9 is a wearable styling treatment which protects and renews your hair while giving it shine and helping tame those tiny wild hairs! You can use it on damp hair before you dry it or on completely dry hair to help style! The first time I used it I loved it. All you need is one pump of it. Rub it in your hands then lightly all over your hair, mostly on the ends. If you add too much on top, your roots will look too oily. You will love how sleek and sexy your hair looks! Try it and see!!!

Do you have bad breath? Do you think you cure it by chewing minty gum? Wrong!
Many people suffer from chronic bad breath, no matter how often they brush their teeth or chew gum. Quite often this is referred to as halitosis. Dr.Harold Katz developed the TheraBreath system in 1993 for his daughter who had halitosis. His products are the world's best oral care brand and will eliminate embarrassing bad breath in your life too! I have the opportunity to review their original toothpaste, mouthwash, and the new mint lozenges.
The mint lozenges even came in this cool little opening box and are individually wrapped. In fact, my husband took a handful of them to work this morning in his pocket! It also included a very informative pamphlet called "The Bad Breath Bible" which informs you of the causes and symptoms of halitosis, as well as some of TheraBreath's best products! I was really excited to try the toothpaste and mouthwash so as soon as we finished dinner I hurried to the bathroom to give them a whirl.
The instructions say to use the toothpaste on a dry toothbrush, which is a change for me. I always wet my toothbrush first. The toothpaste itself was a clear gel substance, verses the average white/blue gel or paste. Surprisingly it didn't have much of a taste. I expected mint, and was a little disappointed that it wasn't minty. Then, it started to foam in my mouth and something about it just felt fresh after I spit into the sink. Oddly enough, the mouthwash wasn't a strong mint either. I don't like mouthwashes for that reason, they burn my gums. This wasn't like that at all... but it all foamed in my mouth as I swirled and gargled. Of course once I was done, I ran straight to my husband to get close and intentionally breathe in his face. The mints were very minty and for such a small mint, made my breath feel very fresh. These are perfect to throw in my purse.
TheraBreath offers many other products on their website as well: gum, whitening kits, ect.
