We opened the box to screams of excitement from our 3 year old son. It even captured the attention of our 8 year old daughter, who enjoyed playing with it alongside her little brother. It was nice to see that it could span gender and age groups; she liked creating more intricate plots for the characters, and he liked placing them in the vehicle. We all enjoyed how well crafted and detailed the figurines are, though they were large enough so as to be easily handled by our preschooler. The one downside was the figurines did not easily fit into the attached vehicle. Our son kept asking us to fix it, but we were stumped. There seemed to be no apparent way to hold the figures inside the vehicle while still moving it. Because of that, the figures seem to get more playtime without the vehicle, as this feature frustrated my son. -

Every now and then, I impulse-buy this mascara. I convince myself that it's a fan favourite for a reason, and I must be missing something, and halfheartedly give it another shot. Nope. I do not get the hype. I prefer a dryer formula, and my main takeaway from this is it's too wet to work effectively. It doesn't lengthen or add volume; the best I can say for it is it could darken your lashes if they're on the paler side. Hard pass. -

First, the elephant in the room: this isn't cheap. However, I've never found a liner that is both kind to my sensitive eyes and doesn't transfer. It's precise and pigmented, and can easily be used by makeup novices to run across your waterline or tight line lower lashes. You can be confident this won't move around and make you an accidental emo kid. -

Before discovering this I was a repeat purchaser of Urban Decay's All Nighter, but was looking for something a bit more budget friendly. My first bottle has lasted me months and is a steal at just twenty bucks. I love the continuous spray for smooth application, and my makeup holds up throughout a ten-hour work day. Definitely won't go back to UD! -

I didn't want to love this, but I did. I don't even remember how I did my makeup before this came into my life, and it's definitely worth every penny. I have previously used the solid cleanser that comes with it, but I find that you can get similar results by using a plain bar of Dove or Ivory soap. One word of caution: be careful to keep your fingernails out of the way when squeezing the sponge, because it's pretty easy to cause tiny tears in it. -

Now that I'm an exhausted mom in my thirties, I find my skin can get dull easily. I may always be tired, but I don't want to LOOK that way, you know? To quickly look alive, I spritz my face with Vichy toning water and then massage this in. After a few minutes, I follow up with my normal moisturizer and find the HA significantly increases its effectiveness; my skin almost literally drinks it up. It makes my skin look so healthy and vibrant I've started skipping foundation. -

This is a must-buy if you suffer from keratosis pilaris, those so-annoying bumps that crop up in places like upper arms and backs of thighs. I've purchased lactic acid to combat my arm bumps before, and found it to be way too harsh -- the resulting chemical burns were not cute. The Ordinary's take on lactic acid exfoliated my congested skin while still being gentle. I use it after showering and saw results almost overnight. Great product, great value, and a definite repeat purchase. -
