With a number of blue raspberry/raspberry-flavoured products, the problem is that they end up tasting a lot like cough syrup, and I found this cocktail mix to be in that group. Maybe I'll try it with shaved ice or carbonated water, but added to alcohol I didn't care for it. -

My mom, sister, and I all found it way too sweet, but if you're the experimental type, it could find its way into some less cloying permutations. -

I've recently become hooked on brow pencils, and this was an interesting one to try! The pencil is quite soft and dark but not smudgy, and while the wax pencil works well to keep your brows tamed, when I brush my brows into place there always seems to be a bit of scattered white wax. I'm probably using too much of it and that's the excess coming off with the brush. It's too bad you can't have the sharpener and the brush on the pen at the same time, but really, it already exceeds expectations. -

I rolled my eyes at the name -- I'm asexual so most things in the world are better than sex to me -- but the way this mascara layered, thickened, and darkened my lashes was incredible. I already have dark, long lashes, and the buildable formula of this mascara made them look outstanding. The hourglass shape of the brush probably helped too, and the pretty pink metallic tube made it a sweet little addition to my makeup bag. It also didn't irritate my eyes, which some mascaras do. -

I have a rather particular set of needs when it comes to the scent of a body wash: I like floral but not perfumy, musky but not funky, fresh but not sour, and so on and so forth. This scent, Orange Blossom, comes very close to capturing the foliage-enriched florals of the fresh variety. It's rich so you only need a medium amount to lather up, and although the scent isn't too strong or long-lasting on my skin, that's fine for me because I work in a scent-free office. It makes your shower a lovely experience, making you feel like you're bathing with the windows open and blossoming orange trees right outside. -

I've used a couple of this type of product before, from the sprays to essential oil drops, and this one (which I received as a free sample) is a good addition to the genre. The bottle recommends 3-5 sprays and I used 4, which proved a little sickly; it smelled less of herbaceous flower and more like candied fruit, which as you can imagine is offputting considering what it's being used for. But it worked as promised, so with less sprays than it recommends, it's well worth getting. -

I purposely put on waterproof mascara and a very sturdy lip lacquer to test La Roche-Posay Ultra Micellar Water, and it stepped up to the task.
So far, I've used two different brands of micellar water before Ultra and become a fan of the product and how easily and swiftly it removes makeup. So I wore makeup that was slightly difficult to remove without some elbow grease to really put Ultra through its paces.
It took a little longer to remove my eye makeup, but did a good job overall; my tinted moisturizer came off in a breeze, and it made speedy work of my lip lacquer. My one main complaint is that it left an absolutely TERRIBLE taste on my lips which makes me hesitant to use Ultra on my lip colour again.

I got a stick of this in Flirtatious/Charmeuse, a sort of hibiscus colour, and it has been my go-to ever since. The colour is bright and vivid, and it stays put for a long time without drying on like some lip colours. It also blends beautifully with glosses or anything like that, is a convenient twist-up crayon format, and really does the job in any and every occasion. A perfect addition to your purse! -

I've been looking for a decent handmade wallet for a while now, something that can be a normal wallet in terms of money and cards, but which can also accommodate my phone if necessary. I carry a purse most of the time, but it's fairly heavy, and if I'm just nipping out quickly I don't want to haul house and land with me.
I found CoversCrafts on Etsy (my go-to when it comes to personalized items) and admired the neat work and the pretty fabric options. The wallets seemed functional and practical while still being lovely to look at.
I saw a wallet listed in a fabric I liked but wanted different colours for the inside. The shop owner, Puh Supatt, was incredibly helpful and positive, and soon put together a beautiful wallet for me with an outside zipper and a matching wrist strap.
It was expensive with the add-ons and the exchange rate, but since I kept my last handmade wallet for eight years, I'm looking at this as a small investment for my own comfort and convenience.

I use my PS4 as an entertainment centre, watching television shows & movies through it, listening to music, etc. The PS3 remote (which was made by Sony) worked beautifully for all these functions. The PS4 remote (which is made by a different company and called the "official" remote by Sony is, in comparison, a frustrating and awkward step backwards.
The only thing I like about it is its long slim shape, plus it's lighter because it uses AAA batteries instead of AA. That's where its good features end. The remote requires lots of hitting the PS button to get it to do anything -- shutting the machine down is a pain -- and it's often quite slow to respond.
But the absolute worst thing about the PS4 remote is that, unlike a normal remote control, it eats up battery power and then turns itself off after 30 minutes. You can't set it to turn off any sooner than that. It then needs to be woken up again in order for you to use it. I got my PS4 four months ago and this stupid remote has already gobbled up four batteries. What remote control needs batteries that often? It's the most baffling product decision to make a remote control act like a game controller with the timeout function.
Unfortunately, this is the only available remote control for the PS4, so I guess I'm stuck with it.
