I have been going to Hair FX to see Tiblez for almost ten years. My usual routine is a wash, blow dry, cut. Tiblez is one of my favourite people in the world. And on top of being so sweet and kind, she really knows her stuff. On my first visit to her I was terrified because I have had so many bad experienced. She was very patient with me and explained everything she was doing so I wouldn't freak out. I've never met anyone that can work with my hair like she can. I've also never gotten a blow dry that comes close to hers. She is a genius. Without a doubt, I 100% recommend.
Notable mention (but no less wonderful): Franca. She is at the front desk when you arrive and is always so cheerful. It really makes your visit pleasant.

I've been going here for a couple years now and I absolutely love it. For starters, the service is impeccable. I usually order the same things every time so my personal recommendations are rather limited. Thai dumplings, curry pumpkin soup and peanut sauce chicken are my favourites. My friend usually gets the green curry and she loves it.
Here is the menu, as you can see the prices are very reasonable http://www.papayarestaurant.ca/
Awesome, friendly service, great food, convenient location, clean bathrooms - I would definitely recommend!

Me and two of my friends visited Bar Milano for dinner and drinks after work one Friday in early June. We initially went there to go to Il Fornello but found that it closed so we thought we should give the new place a try. Harbourfront was packed with tourists so we left our name with the hostess for a table. We didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes, which was very nice, and were seated on the patio.
Our order started with red sangria followed by some pizza for sharing. When the sangria arrived it was served like juice in a jug with no fruit garnish or fruit inside and we all noticed it didn't seem like there was any alcohol in it. We looked around at the other tables to see if maybe we got the wrong order and saw that someone else also had red sangria but theirs had blueberries inside! So we waited for the server to come and take our meal order to tell her our concerns and she said it was no problem and she would have the bar make another jug. Ok cool, so now we've got some food and proper sangria on the way. We sip our water patiently.
Our sangria arrives – still no blueberries, still no booze. Our food arrives – I couldn't even tell you what I ordered because it was so bad I blocked it out, I don't even think I ate it. We feel bad to ask for another jug because we're sure it'll just come back exactly the same so we grumpily ask for the bill and some more water.
The bill arrives like 15 minutes later (sans water) and my jaw hits the table. The so-called sangria is $50. This would be ok if there was some actual wine in it. I might have even let it go if it was juice and fruit. But no, it was straight up Minute Maid – no booze, no fruit. We put down our cards to pay and I gently mention to the server that we appreciate her getting us another jug but it was exactly the same as the first one AND it was grossly overpriced (as in, they probably made a $49.50 profit). She takes our cards and says she will see what she can do to adjust it for us. Surprise surprise, she does absolutely nothing for us so we leave thirsty, sober, irritated and hungry.
I really don't recommend you visit this restaurant unless you plan on ordering beer and fries, those are almost impossible to screw up.

I don't know what to say about this product other than it's terrible. I used it on my arms, which is an area I only wax, so the hair is soft. Here is what happened: the wax rolled on nicely, but didn't take any hair off. It did, however, take off a whole bunch of skin. How did it take off skin but no hair = mystery. Next day: red, patchy skin and lots of hair. Day after: went to salon to get arms properly waxed. -

I bought this on a whim at Target because I was on holiday and customs took the cream that I packed (it was a brand new jar - not impressed). I've heard great things about the Say Yes to Carrots shampoo, conditioner and lip balm so I figured it was worth a shot. I was only there for the weekend anyways! What really got me about this product was that it says "Paraben Free" right on the front of the package and that is something I always look for. I don't have acne prone skin, just a slightly oily t-zone, and I was pleased to find that the salicylic acid in the lotion didn't dry out my skin. I usually use gel creams because they're so light and I found this to be just as light even though it is a lotion. An added bonus is that comes in container with a pump, rather than a jar, so that I don’t get germs in it! In my opinion, the description on the website is 100% accurate (for once). Here is what they said:
Yes To Tomatoes Repairing Acne Lotion is a feather-light, quick-absorbing formula that is oil-free and non-comedogenic, so that it’s gentle on your skin but does the heavy lifting. All-natural Salicylic Acid penetrates pores to clear up blemishes and allow skin to heal. A blend of Bisabolol and Ginger helps control redness caused by acne, and Witch Hazel helps control oil and sebum production.
I'm really happy with it. Minor problem, I haven't been able to find it in Canada anywhere.

I am so disappointed in this deep conditioner. I suppose it left my hair soft, as any normal conditioner should; I was just too annoyed to notice. Being a deep conditioner, I expected some more softness and smoothness, as it claimed on the label. I am completely aware that to expect 48 hours virtually free of frizz is unrealistic. But I can honestly say that it did absolutely nothing for the frizzies. Nothing. I am so glad I bought this on sale. I still have half a jar left so I will give it yet another shot, but would definitely not recommend it.

I was weary that it was called "shimmer" because I totally though GLITTER...it's not glitter at all. I don't even really see the shimmer. All in all, I am so happy with this stuff. I always have it in my purse! -

The Sephora website says:
Here's what women have said:
- 98% said this foundation leaves skin soft, smooth, and younger looking*
- 90% saw improvements in their skin's appearance with continued use*
- 93% said this foundation makes skin look more radiant*
*Based on an independent consumer study
Added bonus: the lid has a part that turns and clicks to cover the little holes so when you travel the powder doesn't leak and explode in your lap when you unscrew the top.

I LOVE THESE FLIP FLOPS! I first saw these when my cousin bought a pair and told her she was a mental case for paying $20 for something you can get at Old Navy for $2. AND THEN, I tried them on. These things are like walking on a bouncy ball, they are totally rubber which means you don't get those annoying heel indents that eventually make other brands of flip flops hard. Loves them and would recommend them to everyone! -

My roommate kept telling me about how clinical anti-persperant is and how you actually NEVER sweat muchless smell when you wear it...so I decided to buy it before I went South on vacation to put it to the real test! The verdict: It worked great, BUT (of course there is a BUT) it made my underarms feel like sandpaper! They actually kind of hurt, they were so sensitive. That being said, I do have sensitive skin so that could be the problem. I would recommend this to my friends, but warn them about the sandpaper-pits. -
