I attended a Scentsy party that a friend hosted. This was the first time being introduced to the product. I purchased two mid-size warmers and three scents for myself (pumpkin loaf, satin sheets and sheer innocence). The warmers themselves are beautiful, although somewhat expensive. The scents are wonderful! Very strong, and long lasting. At the end of the day, I look forward to coming home and turning on my Scentsy warmers :) -

My lashes are fairly long to begin with but they get blonde near the tips. This mascara but my lashes extra dark and extra long! The formula wasn’t goopy like a lot of mascara’s, and the brush was flexible which I love! Other bloggers have different opinions about this mascara, but for me IT WORKS! And for the low price of $10, it’s worth a try! Until I find something that can outdo this mascara, this is by far my new favourite thing in my makeup bag!

To me it smells a bit like baby powder, although I can definitely smell the rose and vanilla. In my opinion, this perfume comes off as sophisticated and elegant and would be best suited for a women above her 30′s. I’d buy this for my mom! -

I’ve been on the look for a mascara that will give me that falsie look. I love Gosh cosmetics (you can find them at Shoppers Drug Mart) and decided to try their “Show Me Volume” mascara in Black.
This mascara comes with a thick brush that I found kind of difficult to maneuver over my eyelashes. I don’t have the best aim to begin with so I found it a bit difficult to use. Someone with more patience might have better luck with the wand.
It was a nice dark black, however I did need to put on a few layers. I did notice it was a bit clumpy, however I didn’t comb through my eyelashes before or after – so maybe that would have made a difference. I’ve had this mascara for about a week now, and I’ve noticed it’s starting to dry out already.

I am very particular when it comes to perfumes, but I think I may have found a new favourite! The scent is almost indescribable, but it’s definitely unique and intoxicating. This sample came in a squirt bottle (thank you!) which makes it easy to put on. You can smell the raspberries and roses very clearly. This scent is appropriate for women of any age! It’s a true classic, and one that I’ll be purchasing in the near future! I recommend stopping a moment to try it on the next time you’re in a department store. I think you’ll love it! -

I’ve been eyeing this new type of nail polish for quite some time not, but could never justify spending the $10. I was so happy to find China Glaze Crackle nail polish in my October Luxebox. Here’s my review!
I tried “Platinum Pieces” – a metallic silver. I decided to apply the silver over a bright purple because I thought it would be a nice contrast. I love this stuff because it’s perfectly fine if you make a bit of a mess (and let me tell you, I am the messiest nail person!). Within seconds of applying the Crackle polish, it started to crackle right before my eyes. It left a really neat looking effect on my nails!
I applied a topcoat to seal the colour. Today is Day 2, and the polish is still sitting nicely on my nails. The only thing that slightly bothers me is the texture (my nails feel a bit gritty, if that makes any sense). Overall – I LOVE IT! In the near future I’m going to pick up some other colours (the Crackle comes in many different shades) and try playing with them on different base coats.

My hair was starting to look dull, and quite frankly a bit green (ick!). I haven’t box dyed my hair in many many years, but my disposable income this month was a bit low so I decided to give it a shot! L’Oreal Sublime Mousse hair dye caught my eye, and for only $10 (it may have been on sale), I decided it was the one. I selected Spicy Auburn Brown - which on the box looked like a beautiful dark shade with a slight tint of red.
Conclusions: LOVE IT! This hair dye was beyond easy to use – in fact my husband dyed it for me and managed to not get any in my eyes (hooray!). The colour is vibrant, and it left my hair looking much healthier than before. My hair doesn’t feel at all dryed out, but it has a beautiful shine even after several washes.
