When Chickadvisor was offering their Product Review members a chance to try the Dove Beauty Bar I jumped at the chance to give it a try. I have used Dove products in the past, such as their body wash and face wash, but Olay has always been my go to brand for a solid bar of soap, that was until I tried the Dove Beauty Bar. I found the scent mild, clean and fresh and it lathered fairly well. The best part about this Beauty Bar is the way it left my skin feeling soft and clean without drying out my skin or leaving an icky residue. I have sensitive skin and I have found Dove gentle enough not to cause a breakout of eczema but tough enough to make the Beauty Bar a must have product in my shower bag after a workout at the gym. I will definitely be switching permanently to Dove when my currently supply runs out! -

I was skeptical about Cottonelle Ultra Bathroom Tissue but I was glad to have been proven wrong and I now think it is the best toilet paper on the market. I received a sample from the Product Review Club and I was amazed at how big the rolls are. The tissue itself had a groove pattern to it and was really, really soft. The tissue was extremely absorbent, deceasing the need to use to much of it and it's strength was comparable to a good quality paper towel. The price is on the more expensive side but I noticed it was on sale at a couple of different stores in my area, so I was able to pick up bigger package for a good price. I was so impressed by this product I will be buying this brand for now on whenever I can find it on sale. -

I am someone who really loves water, even just plain tap water is usually fine by me. Although every once and awhile I crave a flavored tasting drink and I try to avoid soda as much as possible. So when I received the offer to review three bottles of Aquafina Plus Vitamins 10 Cal from the ChickAdvisor Review Club, I jumped at the chance to try them.
I received Strawberry Lemonade, Fuji Apple Pear and Black and Blue Berry. I really liked the bottles, they were very strong and sturdy and had eye catching colorful packaging At first glance, I thought that Strawberry Lemonade would be my favorite but I found the strawberry taste a bit too artificial, upon reading the ingredients I found that strawberry and kiwi flavors were indeed partially artificial. The Fuji Apple Pear had less of an artificial taste and the Fuji Apple flavoring was very authentic ( they are my favorite type of apples). I am not a big pear fan so I wouldn't be choosing to drink this flavor on a regular basis. My favorite of the bunch was Black and Blue Berry flavor which was the most appealing to my taste buds. I also was not crazy about the aftertaste from the Stevia extract but that went away pretty fast.
On the whole I would recommend these drinks, they are great if you are looking for something other than just plain water and have a broad selection of flavors that will appeal to a wide range of consumers. They are also more affordable than some of the other flavored enhanced waters that are available for purchase.

I received the Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles Day Cream SPF 15 from the Chick Advisor Product Review Club and have been using everyday for two weeks. I really like the packaging of the product, the jar is huge and when you compare the the retail price to each ounce, you are getting a great deal of product for the price. I didn’t mind the smell of the product either; it did not have a perfume infused scent but did have a slight trace of SPF which was not as strong as some other day creams I have used.
After two weeks of use I noticed some of the tiny fine lines on my face began to smooth out and were slightly less noticeable, I think I would have to use this product a bit longer to notice a dramatic improvement. The only thing I did not like was the thick consistency of the cream itself, which would be fine in any other season except for summer, the cream melted off my face quickly in the heat if I did not apply a foundation immediately after. I do recommend this product for women who want to prevent or who are experiencing the first signs of aging. I will buy this product again and make it apart of my fall/winter/spring daily skincare routine.

I haven’t used Vim in a long time and had never used a scented Vim product before. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the lemon scent was not too strong and the packaging is not too big so it does not take up a lot of space in the cleaning cupboard. I used Vim in the bathroom for the sink and shower and in the laundry tub and kitchen sink and on some of my appliance exteriors. I didn’t mind that you have to rinse it off because I usually prefer to do that myself, so it worked great on the shower door, where hard water always builds up.
The cream is very gentle and does not leave any surface marks; I had no problems in using it to clean my stove top after a messy spaghetti dinner night. I would highly recommend the Vim Cream Lemon Cleanser; it works amazingly well and won’t break your budget compared to some other brands.

I love the Body Shop’s Tea Tree Oil skincare line and is my HG facial wash for hot and sticky summer days, so I was excited to try the Body Shop’s Nutriganics Smoothing Serum which is certified to have over 95% natural and organic ingredients. The Smoothing Serum packaging is in pump form you don’t waste too much of the product during application. The smell of the serum was amazing! It reminded me of another pricier product from the Dermalogica brand I sometimes use, but the Smoothing Serum is more affordable. The serum itself was easy to apply and spread out nicely on my skin, it only stayed tacky for about a minute and then I could apply my daytime/nighttime moisturizer over top of it.
I used the Serum faithfully 2x a day for two weeks and my skin felt smoother, the tone more even and more supple to the touch. I plan on using this product again and going in to the Body Shop to check out their full Nutriganics product line.

I received Cellui Laser D.Code Advanced Anti-Celluite Care by Biotherm from the Chickadvisor Review Club. I used this product twice a day for over three weeks, applying it once in the morning and once at night. I would have to say that I have moderate cellulite on my thighs and butt and I have used anti-cellulite products in the past, more often in the summer months than any other time of year.
The packaging for this product was very nice and the tube was perfect in squeezing out just the right amount of product to apply. The fragrance of the product was citrus- like with an odd chemical undertone, it reminded me of furniture polish that I use, I tried to let it grow on me but it was quite off-putting. The cream was an orange colour with some shimmer in that I quite liked, although I found the cream could be quite drying, so in the future I probably would not use in the winter months because I tend to have dry skin on my legs.
As for the effectiveness of the product, I found it dramatically improved the tone and texture of my skin and did smooth out some patches of minor cellulite, while somewhat minimizing the bigger dimples on my thighs. I was very happy with the results and will continue to use this cream into the summer. I would buy this cream again, despite the hefty price tag ($70.00) and I will recommend it to my friends who have mild to moderate cellulite or to those who just want achieve a smoother skin tone on their thighs, butt and glutes.

I received two palettes from Chickadvisor, Taupe Temptress and Spirited Seas. I really want to like these eyeshadows but I found they came up short when trying to get a full look from them. The individual colours meld together when trying to blend them, Taupe Temptress left me looking like I had two bruised eyes, overall the palette did not complement my individual colouring. Spirited Seas was more complimentary and I found the colours fun to use when mixing them with other brands from my makeup bag. I was able to create two looks from Spirited Seas, a smoky look with the bronze shadows and a dramatic look with the blue shadows.
The shadows are not highly pigmented and while they look shimmery in the promotional material, I found them too sparkly to use together. Unless I used UPDD or Shadow Insurance, I found they faded very fast I would not recommend using brushes to apply these eye shadows since you end up with sparkle overload under your eyes and cheeks, sponges are better, they also apply better when wet. I would like to try another quad from this line again ( with other products I already have) so I may try this product again.

The anti-feathering cream was a good primer for my makeup around my lips but did not smooth any of the tiny creases around my lips. I would not recommend the anti-feathering cream as an effective product for softening wrinkles around the lip area. The plumping serum was really moisturizing and healed a bad case of chapped lips within two days of using it. I thought that it did after continued use make my lips subtly plumper without any of the burning or irritation I usually experience from regular plumping lip glosses. The serum also worked well as a lip primer. After checking out the price of this product at the drugstore I would not recommend purchasing it unless you really want to try the plumping serum. If the plumping serum was sold separately on its own, I would use it on a regular basis.

Dry legs are the bane of my existence during Winter. I was sent Vaseline Sheer Infusion in Vitamin from the Chickadvisor Review Club. I liked the packaging of the product and it was easy to squeeze out just the right amount of moisturizer. I received the Vitamin scented lotion, which I didn' t particularly care for, I found the scent too heavy but I have heard that the Botanical Blend version is much softer. The lotion went on smoothly but took about 5 minutes to completely absorb, by the next morning I could still feel a layer of moisture on my skin and my legs felt soft and fabulous.
After a full week of use my legs are less red and irritated and my flaky skin has significantly lessened. I would probably buy this product again but I would have to smell test the other two scents first before purchasing another bottle
