When I break out in eczema attacks, the itchy, red patches of skin are greatly reduced when I take Benadryl, especially the liquid gels I find they are the fastest working. When all you want to do it scratch, Benadryl is a life saver.

It was one of those instances of the product may work but are the side effects worth it. I say they were not.
Plus - I never actually found that I was acne free using it.

The product says: "A gentle, effective cleanser that helps control acne breakouts caused by bacteria, excess oil, hormonal changes and stress. This unique oil-free, hydrating wash helps prevent skin from over-drying, which is especially helpful for adult acne. The formula is pH balanced and buffered with lactic and glycolic acids to help shed dry skin cells while improving skin’s texture."
I find: It is a very thin, liquidy cleanser with a strong mint scent. It lightly foams up after application and once in contact with water. I love it. I find it works well for my sensitive, acne and eczema prone skin. I don't find it dry’s out my skin at all and I never get reactions.
It was recommended to my by my facialist (a product line that they do not even sell at her spa) and after trying a few free samples I had to go out and buy it myself. It is pricier than drug store brands, but hey if it works I’d rather pay the money then spend less and always complain that nothing works.

The reason I was warned against using it is because the ‘scrub’ part is crushed up apricot shells. Which, although natural, are terribly rough and basically like rubbing shards of glass on your face to take away dead skin. They are sharp and more often than not lead to microscopic rips and tears on the skins surface. So although your face doesn’t look like it’s been scrapped, and peeled and ravaged, it has.

I wish there was a way they could take this formula and make it into a stick applicator so that you don't have to stick your finger in every time. There are stick blistex products but they do not compare to the fabulous little pots.

I bought this product after my hair stylist insisted I use a heat tamer on my fine hair before I blow-dry and straighten it. I have used this brand of products before, it was very affordable and so I thought I’d give it a go.
I am still using it, but I’m not sure I am seeing any difference then when I don’t use it. I still have a lot in the bottle, so I figure as it isn’t hurting my hair (at least I hope it isn’t) I might as well continue using it - but as for results, I honestly don’t see any.
I have not tried other heat protectents to compare this to, but as it stands with this product, I might as well have saved the $$ and the space in my bathroom because I am not seeing any results.

Ok, so first I want to say that I am a fan of dry shampoo. I have fine hair that needs to be washed everyday for it to not look greasy and that's where dry shampoo comes in as a life/time saver.
Now here's my dilemma with the Dove dry shampoo. It works. The price is comparable if not cheaper than other brands, the smell is not offensive.
So why not a better rating? I bought this product, used it once, had great results. then a week or two later I picked up the can to use it again and noticed it felt very light. I shook it anyway and went to spray and nothing. Nothing came out. Nothing at all.
I know I did not over use the product, (the Tresemme brand I had tried before was a smaller can and lasted me for months) it would be nearly impossible to use the entire can in one use. When I bought the can it felt full. I live alone so no one else is sneaking the product. So what happened??? All I can figure is that since it was summer and the temperature was hotter than normal, the product (or the alcohol in it) evaporated.
So for the fact that I got one minimal use out of the can I will not be buying this brand of dry shampoo again.
Just an additional note, corn starch that you use in the kitchen works the same way as dry shampoo but it an be messier to apply.

This fine, white powder dissolves completely after stirring into liquids or foods. It is a quick, simple way of adding additional fiber to your diet. It is inexpensive, does not cause cramping nor does it thicken into a gel in your drinks like Metamucil can. It is widely available at grocery, drug and megastores like Zellers and Walmart. If necessary it can help keep you 'regular' when your diet is not quite enough to do it for you. Give it a try. -

I love the brass free version of this product. I have always found with hair dye (professional or at-home kits) that after a few washes it would start looking brassy, dull and fried. The brass-free version of this product is what my hair has been craving. It stops the brassiness my hair is prone to, it is not harsh on my fine, complexly textured hair (as is some is straight, some curly and some wavy/frizzy), it gives the right amount of colour, the shine is great and I find long lasting in comparison to other at-home kits, it is affordable and when on sale it can be a steal. Semi-permanent colour has been much kinder to my hair than permanent and I find lasts longer than the claim of 28 shampoos. If you are looking for an at-home hair dye I recommend you try this one, it is easy to apply and only takes 10 mins before you rinse out. -

It doesn't have to be Dickinson's brand - but Witch Hazel is my new beauty secret. Available at any drug store or pharmacy, Witch Hazel has made my problem, eczema-prone, sensitive, acne infested skin look beautiful. It does not dry out my skin (which was a huge concern) it works as a cleanser when I'm lazy or what I intended to use it as a toner to just get the last of the makeup or dirt off. It has what I guess you could call a pleasant scent... it is not unpleasant it is just hard to describe. I highly recommend trying it. if it doesn't work as a toner, it is also great for cleaning scrapes and cuts or even getting rid of bruises - so for the crazy affordable price it is worth every penny. -
