I #gotitfree from @chickadvisor to give an honest review.
I love Breyers and get either the creamery or classic all the time at about $3/1.6L. These little Breyers delights less than 1/3 the size but retail at over $8 at Walmart and $7.98 at Superstore. That equals $25 for the same size as the creamery and classic versions. The ingredients list is scary! There are 4 sweeteners as well as sugar, preservatives, and many that serve no obvious purpose. The ingredients in the other Breyers lines are much cleaner and simpler. The raspberry fudge tasted like frozen flavoured water, not creamy like I'd expect ice cream to be. I guess more like a sorbet. The 'fudge' was a big gob in the middle of the container, and was like Quik brand chocolate syrup. It wasn't distributed through the product like one would desire or expect. There are slightly less calories per 1/2 cup serving, compared to regular Breyers but for the cost, and unsatisfactory flavour, it is not worth it. If you're looking for clean ingredient, calorie reduced, great tasting ice cream, stick with your halotop. Also, the ingredients list on the container is very different that on the Breyers website, so that concerns me as I check ingredients online for allergens before buying.

Herbal Essences bio:renew replenish white charcoal conditioner is a paraben & silicone free conditioner. The ingredients are not clean ingredients though. The conditioner is supposed to be replenishing and restore natural softness. The scent is quite strong, although not near as bad as the matching shampoo. When I put the conditioner is, I run it through my very fine, tight curls. I had a very hard time getting it to coat the hair and detangle it. After I rinsed it, I had to put in a leave in as I could not get a pick through the tangles. Even with the leave in, it was so tangled, I wound up having to cut about 4-6" off!! Not impressed. Had I paid for this product other than #gotitfree I would be freaking out. Normally Herbal Essence isn't a bad product (although not great, after all, they're a bargain brand). I will not recommend this after the disastrous results it provides. -

Herbal Essence bio:renew detox black charcoal shampoo is possibly the worst shampoo I've ever used. It contains both SLS & SLES in the top 3 ingredients. They are both know irritants and possible carcinogens. The list of ingredients contains many other products that have the same problems. Although they are paraben and silicone free, the ingredients are far from clean. The shampoos lathers up, but the smell is brutal! If you like to be smelled from across the room, then this is for you. It smells like Percil laundry detergent. After a couple washings, the smell was finally going away, but it hasn't been easy. I washed my hair with vinegar to finally get the smell out. I would not buy this, recommend it, or stand anywhere near someone who uses it! -

Our dog loves Dentastix! We buy the value bag of 55 at Costco, and break each treat into 3 so a bag goes a long way. He gets one in the morning and one at night. Both times, he starts pacing about 5 minutes before it's 'treat time'. (who taught him to tell time)? The ingredients are pretty scary, but typical for the type of treat it is. They go so very fast, they only take about 15 seconds to chew, but they do seem to help his teeth. I've tried a few other chews like this brand, but these are the most economical. They're also his preferred type. I'll keep buying them, and I will/do recommend them to others. I just wish the ingredients were a bit 'cleaner'. -

I #gotitfree for my honest review. I used Women's Rogaine Foam 5% daily for three months. It was easy to apply and doesn't have an overbearing scent. I got it to regrow and thicken the hair along my hairline. I noticed no difference in growth or thickness during the 3 months. Since it didn't work at all for me, I wouldn't recommend it based on my trial. I've known it to work for others, so maybe it's one of those products that you just have to try, but at retail price not everyone could afford that. Also, I don't like that you have to use it forever to keep any effects it may have had. -

I was excited to try Premier Protein drinks when I #gotitfree from @chickadvisor The product was very disappointing however. Myself, and a few family members tried them, and we all very much disliked the chemical taste that I assume is from the sweetener. I tried mixing them into a smoothie with bananas, which we know overpowers most anything it's mixed with and it did not help. The drinks were not satiating, I was starving within an hour of drinking it. My normal protein drink keeps me full for hours. My normal drink is also gluten free, nut free, GMO free, vegan, free from artificial ingredients and cheaper. I will not be recommending Premier Protein and I will not be buying it. This product disappointed all of us, on all levels -taste, satiating power, cost and quality. -

I was excited for 1g of sugar in these shakes. However, the chemical sweetener, and many other chemical ingredients on the label make for an extremely sweet chemical taste and after taste. The texture was thin and for 30g of protein, it didn't keep me full for long. My normal shake keeps me full for hours! I tried mixing in banana, as that normally overpowers the flavours but it didn't help. My family tried them as well, and they all did not like how sweet the drink was. They didn't complain about the chemical taste, so I think that's just because I notice it as I eat very clean, unprocessed foods. -

I received 3 bars from the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. The Cherry with Pomegranate was my favourite!! I like that I can read all the ingredients, nothing unknown in there. I like that the ingredients are all GMO free. I don't eat a gluten free diet, but I do try to avoid excess gluten when I can. Compared to "other" breakfast bars it in extremely nice to see a clean ingredient list. I am glad there are no artificial sweeteners in there either. Many bars have a chemical aftertaste because of the sweeteners they use.Nutritionally, the bar compares fairly equal to Quaker/Kellogs/Nature Valley as well as Larabar Uber. They all have similar calorie, fat, fibre, carb & sugars.
The taste of this flavour was amazing! I am not a fan of chocolate all by itself and this bar had just enough for a taste, without being overbearing. I really liked that I could taste individual ingredients! One bite was a taste of almond, then next bite was fruity. This one was more fruity than the others, and I loved the taste of the cherries. Every other granola bar I've tried has the same flavour throughout the whole bar. Many bars just taste like sugar coated granola and this bar was completely different. Although a little sweet, the flavours of the individual ingredients were very obvious.
The quality of the Brookside Chocolate did not disappoint! I enjoy quality chocolate and this is not found in most other bars. Others only have chocolate flavoured milk ingredients, sometimes not even cocoa in the ingredients!
I also like the see through packaging. You can see what is inside, and you can clearly see the large pieces of fruits and nuts.
Price - Well, if you compare it to Quaker type bars, then it's hugely overpriced. 10x the price actually... But it isn't a Quaker bar. The quality of ingredients, GMO free, the flavour, all put this bar in the premium category, and the price is the same as those bars. (KIND, Larabar). There are other organic bars (natures path) that offer boxes of 4-6 bars for about $4 so those are half the price of the Brookside bars also. However, I haven't seen any fruit/nut bars with this good quality chocolate.
Bottom line, I don't eat granola bars. I do like fruit bars, nut bars, and any mixture of the two. The Brookside Chocolate makes this fruit & nut bar a very nice treat! I will recommend, and I will definitely be purchasing this flavour regularly!

Nutritionally, the bar compares fairly equal to Quaker/Kellogs/Nature Valley as well as Larabar Uber. They all have similar calorie, fat, fibre, carb & sugars. The Brookside bar does have a lot more iron than most others.
