Looking for the perfect matte turquoise eye liner? Well, this is it!!! I've been searching everywhere for such a product and when I found this liner by Stila I was soooo happy! It's very pigmented, true to the packaging colour and best of all it's waterproof and long wearing! It's so difficult to find a matte turquoise liner - I've come across several teal ones. Stila also makes this same colour in a liquid liner format - it is pigmented, as well...but for some reason, when I wear the liquid one over eyeshadow, it doesn't go on very well. The smudge stick, however, glides on so nicely - even over eyeshadow! I also wear it in my waterline, and it stays put all day long. I've never had to reapply it. Awesome product! -

This setting spray is awesome if you have oily skin! I have tried many different sprays, including the ones from Urban Decay. I find that the Cinema Secrets Super Sealer works best for me. My makeup tends to stay on a lot longer - especially if I spray it on before I apply my makeup, as well. It's supposed to work as an antiperspirant when applied prior to makeup - it's not warm enough for me to really say if it works as an antiperspirant in really hot weather - but during the warmer Spring months, it's been great! I highly recommend at least trying out the 2 oz bottle - you can find it for around $10 - if not cheaper - online. I tried out the smaller one and then immediately purchased the 8 oz bottle (around $30). LOVE it! -

I am so excited to tell you about this product! I recently discovered Avon's Anew Clinical Advanced Retexturizng Peel (wow, that's a mouthful!) from my next door neighbour who is an Avon rep. I was a little scared to try this because it is a glycolic acid peel, and I've heard horror stories about people burning their faces. :| But these babies have won Allure's Best of Beauty Award for best peel, and that is for a very good reason. You get 30 pre-soaked pads in one container, and the recommended usage is once every two days. They retail for $35 CDN, but I was able to snag them for $15, as Avon had a 2 for $30 promotion last month. I use the pad right after I cleanse my face, it slightly tingles at first, and then after a few seconds it starts to sting a little. The stinging sensation is not overwhelming or painful - more uncomfortable than painful...but it only lasts for a few seconds to a couple of minutes. You can reduce the stinging by applying a moisturizer on your face. If you have extremely sensitive skin, I'm not sure I would recommend this for you, as you may not be able to withstand the stinging - it just depends on your tolerance level. With that said, however, I think the slight tingling and stinging is totally worth the results! I have been using these pads for about 3 months now, and my skin has completely transformed! It has become so much smoother (yes, it does live up to its claim to be able to "retexturize" your skin) and it has a nice glow to it now! I have been recommending these pads to all of my friends, lol.
SUMMARY:
Pros:
- skin is clearer and smoother
- gives skin a nice glow
Cons:
- it does sting a little
- people with sensitive skin may not be able to use it

Let me tell you right off the bat - I have never been more disappointed in a product that I have purchased than this one. I believe I purchased this eye makeup remover gel from Marcelle on sale for $10 CDN. I have never tried any of the other makeup removers from Marcelle, so, I had zero expectations when I tried this one. To use, you are supposed to squeeze some gel onto a cotton pad and massage onto your eye area. The gel feels cool against your eyelid, but if you manage to accidentally get it in your eyes, be warned, it will burn!! I found that rather than removing my makeup, it just merely spread it around my eye. When it came to my waterproof mascara, however, there was no spreading...in fact, my makeup did not even budge. I even tried saturating my lashes with the gel directly from my fingertips...but with no success. For a product that claims to be a waterproof eye makeup remover, it sure does not do a very good job of doing that. :| I guess I will be sticking to my Neutrogena eye makeup remover for now!
SUMMARY:
Pros:
- honestly, I can't think of one :(
Cons:
- does not remove makeup, especially if it's waterproof
- just smudges and spreads makeup around
- will burn if you get it in your eyes

Make Up Forever 12 Flash Colour Case - these are AMAZING! Soo versatile. They can be worn on the lips, eyes, cheeks...wherever...use them as an eyeshadow base for an even brighter pop of colour. A bit (actually, quite a bit, lol) pricey (I believe it retails for $99 @ Sephora)...but so worth it if you can afford it! In fact, if you think about it...1 NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil costs about $6...multiply that by 12...and the price doesn't seem so bad, lol. Anyway, back to the product itself: these colours last a very long time...a little goes a very long way! I use mine almost every day as eyeshadow bases...and there is hardly a dent in any of the colours. Also, you can mix the colours to make your own colour - there is a white and black...so, you can lighten or darken according to your preference!
Summary:
Pros:
- lots of colours - you can mix them to make your own
- lasts a long time - a little goes a long way
- multipurpose (can be used on eyes, cheeks, lips)
Cons:
- expensive

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Neutralizer...I LOVE this stuff! I use it to brighten under the eyes and on the cheeks (and all over my face, really) as a highlighter! The applicator makes it very easy to apply - the only concern I have is that it has a sponge tip - and I'm not sure how hygienic that makes it...but I've had no problems with it. The formula is good - it's not too thin and runny, but not too thick and cakey either. I've not had any problems with creasing - I usually follow up with a light dusting of powder...and that tends to keep my concealer in place all day. -

I absolutely LOVE this mascara...it is my HG of mascaras! I have purchased high-end mascaras and other "drugstore" brands...but I find myself always coming back to this one. Not only does the Covergirl LashBlast Waterproof Mascara give me volume, but it gives me incredible length (I have to apply a couple of coats for that...but so worth it)...it makes my lashes look like I'm wearing falsies. I've never had any problems with clumping with this mascara. I prefer the waterproof version for two main reasons: 1. the formula is dryer; and 2. it maintains the curl in my lashes after I use a lash curler. The wand is also a nice size...it's not too big or small...all of my lashes are separated nicely by it. I highly recommend this mascara to everyone. Ladies have often come up to me to ask me which mascara I use at work...and I always tell them to go and try it. -

I absolutely LOVE this perfume! My sister and I call it the man magnet, LOL! I have never received so many compliments about my perfume from so many guys (and girls too) before!
I had first purchased the tiny roll-on from Sephora for $20, and after the reactions I had received to it, I just had to go out and buy the 100 mL (3.4 oz) bottle! Like many of the reviewers have already mentioned, the scent is very fruity and fresh! It's definitely not what I would classify as a "mature" scent - it has a youthfulness about it which I love!
I highly recommend it! If you've tested it at the store, and are still on the fence about buying it and don't want to spend too much on the larger bottle, I do suggest you try out the roll-on bottle first! It's definitely worth it!

As many of the other reviewers have already stated, you're not going to achieve the look of false lashes with this mascara (despite its name and claim). However, the Falsies Volum' Express mascara does have some pros. This mascara is great if you're looking for one that will lengthen your lashes. My lashes looked noticeably longer - each lash was defined and looked thicker. With that said, however, this mascara falls low on the volume scale. Thought it will thicken individual lashes, the overall volume of your lashes is not that great (especially in comparison to the CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara). Unfortunately, if you wait to let your lashes dry to apply additional coats, the mascara tends to leave clumps - but if you apply multiple coats without letting the first coat dry, the clumping is not as bad. Overall, I rate this mascara average. If you're looking for length, then this is the mascara for you...but if you're looking for volume...then I would recommend trying the Lash Blast by CoverGirl. -

I started using the BareMinerals foundation about two months ago. I have used other mineral foundations (both powder and liquid) in the past, but this foundation stands above the rest. As many of the other reviews state, the coverage is excellent. The product goes on light and you don't need too much to get great coverage. I purchased the starter kit online from the Bare Escentuals website (as the local Sephora here in Vancouver was completely sold out). I particularly like the mineral veil - as it gives a nice sheen to my skin - just a soft glow. For those of you with more oily skin, I'd recommend trying the matte version of the foundation. I've fallen so much in love with BareMinerals, that I recently purchased several of their lip and eye products, as well. I will leave reviews on those soon, as well! -
