As someone who really enjoys wearing and trying on different make-up products, I was very eager to try out the new Maybelline New York Brow Precise Perfecting Highlighter. The product itself comes in a twist-up tube, and the consistency is similar to a much creamier crayon. The highlighter has a nice shimmer, without being overly sparkly or greasy looking. I was experimenting with it and found I really am liking it as a natural highlight on my cheekbones! It works quite well as a cream highlighter for the cheek, as well! In fact, I think I have been using it more as such than a brow highlighter. I like that it is not overly sticky or hard like similar products.
I was fortunate enough to be one of the lucky few who received this product to test and review from ChickAdvisor - however, my opinions are always honest.

I absolutely love nude lipsticks, and so I was extremely excited when I found out that Maybelline New York came out with an entire matte nude lipstick line! I am in love with this lipstick! It is extremely creamy, and unlike most matte lipsticks, it is not at all drying. I feel like the initial look of the lipstick is more of a satin finish, but it does dry down to a more matte finish after a few minutes. I can't emphasize enough how creamy and pigmented this lipstick is! I was fortunate enough to be sent this product by ChickAdvisor to test and review, but my opinions are always honest. I will definitely be purchasing other shades in this line! -

I have used other Maybelline New York Fit Me foundations in the past, and I have had mixed feelings about them. As someone with oily skin, I am very picky about my foundations. I was so happy when I tried the Maybelline New York Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation, as it did not make my face look completely matte - but rather, it left it with a natural glow. Not all people with oily skin want to look flat and matte, and so it was so refreshing to have a foundation that made me look natural, without looking flat or like an oil slick. The lasting power of the foundation was pretty standard for my skin - I didn't notice it lasting any shorter or longer than usual. I was extremely fortunate enough to receive the product from ChickAdvisor to test and review, and so I was surprised when the colour match was fairly spot on - perhaps a shade darker - I am planning on purchasing one shade lighter to see if I like it better or I can mix the two shades for my own custom shade. -

OMG! Where has this sunscreen been all of my life?! This has definitely become a game changer for me - absolute holy grail status achieved! I love the way it glides so smoothly onto my skin, and it leaves my skin feeling and looking baby soft. It seriously leaves my skin looking so fresh and helps blur imperfections - enough so that I feel confident leaving the house with just that on my face - and I never used to leave the house without make-up on! The scent is subtle and not at all overwhelming - it has a citrus-like smell. It does have alcohol in it, however, which might put some people off. It has never stung my face or ever felt harsh or drying in any way though - just the complete opposite. The texture is extremely lightweight - as it says on the package, it is an essence. It absorbs very quickly into the skin. I wish they made sun protection like this in North America! This particular product comes from Japan - so, I have to order it online...and I highly recommend you do too! -

I am really enjoying the new Canada Dry Club Soda in Orange-Mandarin!! It tastes very much like an orange soda, minus the sugar and carbs. If you love orange soda and are a fan of club soda or carbonated water, this is the drink for you! I didn't find the drink bitter at all, and found that even though it did not have any sugar added, the sweetness level (or bitterness level??) and orange flavour was just right. Of course, this comes down to personal preference. I am truly a huge fan though! I was fortunate enough to be sent a coupon from ChickAdvisor to taste and review the product .#gotitfree However, after I finished the free case I received, I went out and purchased another case on my own - so, you know it means I genuinely like it! I know I am definitely going to be reaching for this beverage during the hot summer months! -

I'm really lucky I live near multiple T&T;Market locations...it is definitely one of my favourite stores for buying Asian groceries. I always love venturing through the aisles to look for international treats that can't be found in other local supermarkets. Also, if you're into Asian beauty products, they sell them there too (though the variety really varies from location to location). I highly recommend the desserts from their bakery - they are some of the most beautiful pieces I have ever seen - and they taste good too! -

Highlighters are especially trending right now, and if you've jumped on the bandwagon, I highly recommend the Ciate London Dewy Stix! This highlighter stick is like no other that I have used before. Most of the creamy stick highlighters are shimmery - they have an almost metallic finish to them. The Ciate Dewy Stix, however, has a completely different look. It does look dewy, as the name suggests - it gives your skin a very natural glow. Whenever I wear it, I get many compliments on how healthy my skin looks - but it's really just the Dewy Stix that gives me a lit from within glow. Now, despite the fact that I absolutely love this product, I do have some cons to point out here (they may or may not influence your decision to try out the product).
Cons:
- The texture is a bit sticky/tacky, which might be off-putting to some. I get around this by lightly swiping a powdered highlight over it - it makes that highlight stand out even more - highly recommend it if you have oily skin like me, but you can probably skip this step if you have dry skin.
- Even though it is meant to be just swiped onto your face over your makeup (straight from the tube), I find that swiping the stick over my foundation actually drags and removes all of my make-up that I have on underneath it. However, I have come up with an effective way (for me, anyway) to combat this problem: I take my lightly dampened beauty blender and wipe it against the stick to get the product on my sponge. I then pat the highlighter on with my beauty blender, and I find that this patting/bouncing motion does not remove the rest of my make-up.
Regardless of the couple of cons, I feel like this product is worth its hefty price. If you want a natural dewy glow, and not a metallic, shimmery or sparkly glow, I highly recommend this product!

Oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are definitely one of my most favourite types of cookies - and so when I received a package of the Voortman Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies to test and review, courtesy of ChickAdvisor, I was extremely excited. Honestly, I was a bit disappointed by these cookies. They are definitely not some of the better tasting oatmeal cookies I have eaten. They are crunch - I wish they made a soft baked version of the oatmeal chocolate chip flavour. As far as crunchy oatmeal chocolate chip cookies go, I have tasted better ones.

I was sent different varieties of the Voortman cookies, including the Coconut Cookies, to test and review from ChickAdvisor. The Voortman Coconut Cookies were definitely my most favourite of the ones I tasted. I absolutely love the coconut flavour - it has just the right amount of coconut flakes (they aren't those huge chunky flakes that make you choke on them). The cookies are not too sweet, nor are they too crunchy. I quite like the texture of them - they have a bit of a crunch when you first bite into them, but as you eat them, they kind of have a chewiness to them. I will definitely be purchasing a package of these when I have finished this pack!

I have become a huge fan of the Voortman Wafer cookies. I was sent a package of the strawberry banana flavour to try from ChickAdvisor. The idea of strawberry banana wafers intrigued me, as I've never had that flavour combo on wafers before (I've had the plain strawberry ones). Honestly, I prefer the plain strawberry flavoured wafers. I don't think the wafers themselves were bad - the Voortman wafers are quite good - they have the right texture, in my opinion. However, I found the strawberry banana flavour much too sweet for my palette. This is not to discourage you from trying the flavour - I think it just comes down to personal preference. This particular flavour just was not right for me.
