Voortman Vanilla Wafers

I absolutely love these Voortman Vanilla Wafers cookies! They are flavoured just right with the vanilla taste not being too overbearing or artificial tasting. I like that these are not too crunchy or soft - they have just the right texture - nice and airy, as well. They are great for when you want a light snack. They are also fun to use for making or complementing other desserts! I put a piece as garnish on the side when serving ice cream - it not only added a cute touch aesthetically, but also tasted like you were having an ice bream cone.

I wear liquid eyeliner every time I wear make-up - it is a regular part of my make-up routine - I have been doing so since I was 13. And so, I feel like I am fairly well versed when it comes to the realm of liquid liners. Right off the bat, I will say that I absolutely LOVE the shade of blue on this liner! It is like a royal blue with a nice matte finish - I have been really loving the combination of the sapphire liner with a nice gold eyeshadow. The consistency of the liner itself is nice - it's not overly wet or dry - it doesn't take too long for the liner to dry, which is nice. I did do a smudge test on the back of my hand, and it did rub off a bit. However, I had no such problems on my eyes - the liner lasted the entire day. It glided smoothly over my other eye make-up (i.e. primer and eyeshadows). I do like the fact that the liner comes in a pen format - it is a lot easier to control while trying to draw a line. With that said, however, I am honestly not a huge fan of the new "paddle" tip. I wish the felt tip was finer/thinner! Even the thinnest part of the tip is quite thick, making it a little difficult to really control the thickness of the line you draw. Also, because the paddle tip is rounded. I feel like when I do use the wider side, I can't get a nice sharp edge on my liner - it's much more rounded. So, I have to go back in with the finer tip to sharpen up the edges. I feel like it will take a little getting used to the tip - so, with practice I might actually come to appreciate the new tip. However, my first few impressions have left me wishing the tip was smaller. I do worry that the felt tip might dry up quickly, but so far, it has remained moist. -

I have been seeing ads for the CoverGirl So Lashy! Extreme mascara everywhere lately and so I was extremely excited to try it out. I have been using CoverGirl mascaras for over a decade now - they are definitely my favourites! The So Lashy! Extreme mascara is nothing like any other mascara I have ever tried. The formula is definitely on the more wet side and so you have to be very careful to not and get it all over your eyelids - I normally wear waterproof mascara, and so I am definitely curious to see whether or not the waterproof version is a little less wet. The mascara did make my lashes look fuller and it also did a decent job separating my individual lashes. I noticed that because the formula is a bit on the wet side, this mascara did not really hold my curl - in fact, it actually weighed down my lashes. Again, I'm wondering if the waterproof version will do a better job of holding the curl. My biggest disappointment is with the new wand! I wanted to love it so much! I like the texture of the wand - it is like soft silicone and not hard plastic. However, I find the wand to be too big! I think the size would have been okay if the wand was consistently large all the way around, making it easier to twist and coat your lashes evenly. However, it has flat, yet spikey, edges that protrude from about four sides. It makes it very difficult to twist the wand to help curl your lashes. Also, the enormous size of the wand makes it very difficult to coat the bottom lashes without getting a bit of mascara everywhere. The tip of the mascara is helpful for coating the lower lashes, but it too is rather large and I find it impractical for the upper lashes. Maybe I just don't quite know how to use this new type of mascara wand - I will definitely give it a few more tries and search on-line to see if someone else has a better way of utilizing the wand. -

As soon as I applied it, it made my eyes feel blurry - so be careful if you're a contact lens wearer. Also, the drying time is a bit long because the formula is so wet. I briefly looked down after I applied it and mascara ended up on my face. Also, this mascara did little to lengthen - but it did volumize my lashes. -
