I am simply in-love with Brit-Lit, and was so happy to find a well written series. And now I am in-love with the 1920's sensibilities and lifestyle! The dialogue is just too too frightfully fascinating! The writing is excellent, the stories are good (and I can't seem to guess most of the time) and the dialogue and settings are believable. Death at Wentwater Court is the first in this series, presenting the Honourable Daisy Dalrymple, having lost her fiance and brother in the war, and her father the influenza epidemic, is now without a home, so to speak, as her father's title and estate goes to a cousin. She has taken off to London to pursue a career in writing, a distressing idea not just for women in the 1920's, but for an aristocrat! She uses her connections to obtain work writing about the great old houses, estates and castles of Britain. And she inadvertently stumbles across dead bodies and mysteries wherever she goes, causing a certain yummy Detective Chief Inspector to cross her path constantly.
These are a good fast read! Perfect for the beach or park. Check your library (I got mine there, I was hooked and there are many in the series!), but they are available at a reasonable price on amazon, or at your local bookstore.

I bought this because I get really dry skin in the spring and winter, giving my limbs an "ashy" look, which makes my skin itch. It sounded like it would smell great, but actually doesn't have much of a scent, so I am a bit disappointed. While my skin no longer itched, I feel that it isn't nourishing enough. I like the pump feature, but the size of the bottle puts me off - since I require a nicer scent and a more moisturizing lotion, i have switched to another product, but now I am stuck with a large bottle of lubriderm. I feel i have to use it now, so use it only in the summer months when my skin is not as dry. I also use it as a facial cream, as my skin there tends to be oilier and not as thirsty as the rest of my body. Although the price was right, I don't think I would buy this one again. -

It's difficult to find time for both my partner and I to go shopping, and since he refuses to go alone it requires me going out on my day off to buy groceries. The website is well laid out and has everything I need! Everything was fresh, and they were able to get everything I ordered. I like that you can choose and control when delivery is made, so convenient! They were on time, and everything came bagged from their truck, which has freezers to keep cold produce cold. They check prices weekly to ensure you get the best possible rates for whatever it is you order. They are also brand conscious, and know people want certain brands (but you can choose to substitute if yours is sold out). I love also how you can favourite the items you will most likely be being over and over so that everything is saved for your next shopping trip. Best of all, delivery was only $2.95! It works out to not only saving us time, but it is cheaper to have stuff delivered than to cab home or even drive.
This service is fast, convenient, saves me money, and I don't even have to leave the house! Very pleased with this service :)

The book starts out with a young white girl who feels unloved by her father. When her nanny, a black woman in the south, stirs up racial problems in the town, they take off to find any scrap of information regarding Lily's dead mother. They end up on a honey farm run by 3 incredible characters. Here Lily discovers her mother's secrets, and unlocks the mysteries to life through beekeeping. She gains stregth, wisdom and power over her life through the influence of the beekeeping sisters and their Black Madonna in this coming of age story.
It is on my shelf of best books read all year, and I read A LOT!

This is my second visit to this spa. The first time I had the Goddess package, which included massage, mani, pedi, dinner and wine, and a body scrub (a 4 hour event). I loved it.
Recently my sister and I went before she got married for some sister-sister time. It was nice to relax and talk while our nails were done. I was hoping we could get a massage together, but it is a small spa, and I realized I didn't want to talk much during a massage anyway. They also offer waxing, and they did a wonderful job on my sister's eyebrows. They supplied us with beverages, re-did our toes when we smudged (twice!) and were very nice in general.
The decor is like a ruined Grecian seaside temple, I really like it. The music is nice but in the background. It's on a busy strip in downtown London, but you wouldn't know it!
Spa prices always shock me, maybe because I never really go unless someone got it for me as a gift, but I guess there is no price you can place on how well you feel afterwards. If you can afford it I say give this sweet little spa a try!
