I've tried many sulfate-free shampoos in my life and this one is very different. It does have a strong scent (I use the volume shampoo with natural botanicals and rosemary). The smell is strong, but quite 'natural', instead of perfume-y. It's different than any other sulfate-free shampoo I've tried because it actually lathers! But I do feel it might be a bit harsher than other sulfate-free shampoos out there. I tend to use it later on in my hair-colour cycle (and not immediately after I've done my colour). -

Officially one of my favourite products to use! Not that I've tried it, I feel like I can't live without it. It covers up my roots perfectly (I use the colour black). Not only does it blend in wonderfully, it actually makes my hair look thicker. Now it's not a thickening product, but when applied to my roots, it covers a bit of my scalp in the product, instantly making my hair look fuller. My only complaint is that it has a very matte finish, so if your hair is naturally very shiny, you do have to try to brush it out a bit to make it look more natural. -

I was excited to try this product when it was first released since I'm a big big fan of other Dove deodorants. This one failed to meet my expectations. First of all, the smell is not quite the same as the other 'Cool Essentials' products. It only has a hint of the fresh cucumber scent, but it's overall powdery scented and not as pleasant. While the product does keep me dry, I'm just not a fan. I also think the price is quite high for what it is. -

If you're looking for a good overall do-at-home easy colouring kit, this is it! It regularly goes on sale (Shoppers, WalMart, Loblaws) for around $4, so it can't be beat. The instructions are clear, the application is easy and as long as you know how to take care of coloured hair (washing it in cooler water, sulfate-free shampoo), it should last. I use colour #11 - Very Intense Black. It's the best black I've found that is actually black and not blue-black, which I'd been searching for for a while! -

I was lucky enough to find this product on the shelf of my local Dollarama, which is why I rated the price 5 stars, but I'm not sure what it actually retails for. But now I worry it's been discontinued. Get it if you can find it. I have dry skin, so I moisturize right out of the shower, every day, from head-to-toe. This cream is great. It's wonderfully fragranced. I bought mine in the 'Exotic Shine' scent. It's just lightly fruity - not at all cloying. It rubs into skin wonderfully and does not leave a greasy feeling. Very nice! -

I'm a self-declared manicure addict! I never thought I would use a different top-coat other than my trusted Sèche-Vite. But I was shopping at Winners when I found an Essie colour I just had to have (Mint Candy Apple). It happened to be bundled with the Essie Gel Setter Top Coat. What a find! Now if you're looking for a top coat to get you out the door quickly, this isn't it. I give mine about 10 minutes to dry before I try to do anything. But it's worth the wait. It adds SO MUCH SHINE. And it makes my manicures last. With Sèche-Vite, I'd only get about 3-4 days of wear, but with the Gel Setter, I can extend that at least 2 or 3 more days. And I'm hard on my hands (daily workouts, house cleaning, etc). Essie Gel Setter also gives the nail a bit of thickness - like a Shellac manicure does. I gave the price 4 out of 5 stars since mine was bundled, so I got a great deal, but I'm unsure of how much it retails for, so I didn't want anyone to get the wrong impression. -
