I attended the media preview of the new Victoria's Secret location opening in Yorkdale this week. They've done a spectacular job! Each section is a different "room" and they have everything from the beauty room to the playful room. The customer service was very good even during the hectic event. Overall I'm very impressed with the store and I look forward to going back! -

I was able to try Deborah Lippman Nail Lacquer for the first time at a PR event and I chose the shade "Waking Up in Vegas." It was the same colour the manicurist was wearing and she said its quite popular. The colour went on very easily and after just one coat it looked amazing. I have a hard time with light neutrals on my nails as I find myself having to apply many coats, but this nail polish did not have that problem.
She also applied the quick dry top coat and said its the fastest one she's ever used. She talked about it for about two minutes and then said, see for yourself, your nails are dry. And they were! The colour looked amazing and it lasted.
It is expensive for a nail polish, but you are definitely getting a good quality product.
The line is also very careful not to include any harmful chemicals so as to keep your nails as healthy as possible.

I have been making a mental note to go to the Sandwich Box for lunch, for months now! It is a favourite among the girls at ChickAdvisor HQ, and finally today after seeing it in the recent reviews section I remembered to grab my lunch there. The only thing that upsets me is how long I waited until I tried it. I had grilled chicken on a rosemary foccacia and it was amazing! I'm incredibly full and it was $10 with a drink! Fantastic prices and a sandwich better than you get in most sit-down restaurants. I'm a sandwich and wrap kinda girl, so this place is definitely going to stay on my favourites list. Go try it! -

My hands dry out pretty fast and I need a hand cream that will last without making my hands too greasy. I'm a huge fan of Body Shop hand creams in general, and this one is no different. My hands don't feel dry or stiff after I put this cream on. I only use a little squirt and it lasts a few hours. I would definitely recommend this cream to anyone with dry skin, or even if you work in an office with air conditioning that dries out your skin. This is the perfect little hand cream to keep on the corner of your desk so you can grab it whenever you need.

John Donato of Donato's Salon Spa has started his own cosmetics line. I was able to try his lip gloss, deemed Super Gloss. I let the sales rep pick my colour and he chose Super Charming which I now love. It goes on really glossy, but it's not sticky at all. The colour tint shows up just enough, and it lasts for hours. So far I'm a fan of John Donato, can't wait to try the rest of the line!

We bought our Wii a few years ago now, and I feel it important to mention that my family has no young children. I am the youngest in my twenties, and all five of us use the system including my parents! There are games to suit everyone and as long as you are not a religious gamer then you won't care that the graphics are not as realistic as possible.
Also, you get to download a lot of your old favourites like Super Mario and Tetris and play them on this. As well as view pictures, create slideshows. A lot of nights we just have fun creating new Miis to look like different people we know.
Definitely worth every penny.

That's how I first tried them and now I've got quite a handful. They are good in your purse on-the-go lip glosses. Tho I find they can make my lips a little too glossy if I accidentally put too much on. And other ones can get a bit sticky on your lips. For the price tho, they are good. And they taste good too! Not that you should be devouring your lip gloss. My personal favourite, the minty one. Gives my lips a nice cooling sensation. -

Although it's a strong scent, it's quite enjoyable because it smells fresh instead of fragrant like a perfume. The quality of the lotion itself is also amazing. You are getting what you pay for with a quality lotion that keeps your hands hydrated and moisturized. -

I have been going to this salon for over 5 years now. My stylist is Robbie and we now have a friendship. Both of my sisters also go to Robbie and they've dabbled with a few other stylists at the salon as well. I always feel amazing while I'm there. Everyone is really nice and though I'm sure Robbie has hundreds of loyal clients, he always makes me feel like I'm special. We update each other with what is going on in our lives while he does my hair and I trust him with my life!
He is brutally honest. When I told him I wanted to get purple highlights he said he could let me choose the colour and my hair would look okay, or I could let him choose the colour and my hair would look gorgeous. He walks you through exactly what he's going to do in the colouring process and how it will turn out in your hair. He also shows you product options for how to maintain the colour in your hair.
For the cut, he is just as honest. He always keeps it trendy with a bit of a flair. He cuts your hair so that it will continue to be healthy and makes sure that your ends are in good shape. He will listen to your opinion, but at the end of the day he will cut your hair the way it will look best and if he needs to cut off extra because a lot of it is dead, he will do it. He's serious about hair health.
Yes it is pricey to go to this salon. I spend almost $200 when I'm there for a cut and colour. For a cut alone, it's usually about $75. Their products are amazing although they are also very expensive. The shampoos and conditioners are great, but not a necessity. However, if you are colouring your hair, the specific shampoos they provide to help your colour last are really worth it. If you're spending all that money to get it coloured in the first place, you should go the extra mile to make sure it lasts.
All in all, I definitely recommend this salon. I've taken loads of my friends there to get their haircut. And my sisters and I refuse to go anywhere else.

I used this primer potion a few times. Although it works well, I didn't fall in love with it. I'm used to using primers that are almost like a cream that you put onto your eye lids. I found that this eye primer was just a bit too liquidy for my liking. All in all it did a great job and my eyeshadow stayed put, but I am sticking with my original eye primer as it does a great job also without the extra liquidity.
My girlfriend has this primer and she absolutely swears by it. She prefers her primers in more of a liquid form than I do. And I gotta say, her eye shadow always looks top notch and it doesn't budge.
