This is probably the most expensive lip balm I have ever purchased, but the quality of the product is levelling out the price point and I will say it does wonders for dry lips and keeping them soft and moisturized in general. I bought this in the summer months, so I have not tested it through any cold Canadian winters yet, but as a person that unfortunately picks at her lip constantly, this product repairs any damage easily! I like putting this on in the morning at the beginning of my skin care routine and before going to sleep at night. -

After switching up my deodorant several times and finding that they didn't always have lasting powers, even switching to Old Spice for a month or two because the scent was delicious, I ordered this product in "Vanilla Summer" through the Sephora website and haven't regretted it ever since it came in the mail! The scent is very fresh, fruity, and of course vanilla-like as expected. It goes it nearly clear, a little more damp that other dry stick deodorants, but it dries within seconds and protects against any sort of unwanted bodily scents all through the day. The only semi-downside is the price. It's definitely most than your average drugstore deodorants, but for its effectiveness I would rank it up there with the clinical strength products! A definite recommendation if you can get your hands on it. -

I received this razor as a perk through Klout in perfect timing to me needing a new razor. Especially it being summer, I needed a razor that would do the best job to keep my legs at their greatest. With the first swipe across my leg, I was sold. It was very smooth and felt very moisturizing. I may be sticking with this razor for the next while, for the summer at least! -

I tend to give into new products a lot, and after seeing and reading a lot about this new mascara, I thought I'd give it a try - and I was impressed! I haven't tried many mascaras on my bottom lashes, but this smaller brush definitely helps make that a lot easier, almost effortless. The regular upper lashes brush was very precise on its application and I could built on it for a greater lash effect if desired. I will be recommending this one to others for sure! (It was also a nice bonus that Shoppers had it for just under the regular retail price.) -

I was finding all my concealers not up to the job when it came to covering blemishes lately, so I purchased this one in hopes it would do the trick - and it did! I was very impressed with 1) the very small amount of concealer needed to use for it to work and 2) the really great coverage it has. This small tube will last me quite a long time, even using it daily! I'd recommend this one if people don't mind spending the bit of extra money on it. -

I bought this eye shadow palette on a whim because it was on sale for about $20 through Sephora. I don't think this exact palette is available anymore. The packaging made me feel like I was unboxing a brand new macbook and opens exactly like one. The colours are fantastic and bright! This palette has a great selection of warm, neutral, and cooler shades to chose from. Although it may be extremely rare that I am in need of a bright pink eye shadow, I believe there is something in this palette for everyone. I've been pairing these eye shadows with eye primer and the staying power is quite effective and I've been going to use this palette more and more since I got it. I've been sticking to the more neutral colours to do somewhat of a smokey eye, but I plan to experiment with the bolder colours someday soon and see what I'm able to create! -

I don't know why I put off buying this product until now, because I'm absolutely stunned at it's results! I'm used to eye shadow fading and creasing throughout the day and have even tried an eye shadow primer or two in the past that did a decent job of making the eye shadows stay, but since I finally tried out this product, I have put my eye shadow to the test! I even tested out the eye shadow primer through to the following morning once (maybe I fell asleep with all my makeup on still, I know it's horrible) but was amazed that most of the eye shadow was still in place the following morning! Now that's an eye shadow primer that works. I got this primer in the sample size as a bonus to the Naked Eye Shadow Palette, but I will definitely be getting the full size product once the smaller one runs out. -

I went out on a limb to try a primer by Tarte because I had become a big fan of their products lately. When applying this primer I feel as if I don't put enough on my face, but that's the beauty of this product - a little bit goes a long way. Some days I wear the primer and other days I don't due to lack of time to get ready, but on the days I do manage to apply it under my foundation, I notice a lot more staying power throughout the day. It was a bit pricey, so that was the main set back on this product, but you can't expect to pay little for a quality product these days! -

When given the chance to try out the services offered by Navigate Salon, I instantly started thinking of many different things I could have done to my hair. To be honest, I never actually decided and ended up mentioning all my options with them and hope they would suggest what would work best. They definitely listened and came up with a compromise between my ideas and made it happen! I wanted a bit more of a red-ish colour to my hair, and I was a fan of ombre hair. I had previously tried an at-home ombre job myself, and they spotted it right away as an "at home attempt" and I felt my hair needed to be fixed right away with that comment. My biggest concern was wanting a natural look that wouldn't look horrible when my roots started showing. Collectively, everyone discussed their opinions about what to do with my hair, and a decision was made.
Jo did a fantastic job and was able to create the ombre look, with a slightly ginger tint to it, that matched my natural hair colour as close as they could get it for when it started to show. It's hard to restrain yourself from constantly dying your hair when you have your roots coming in and creating a horrible colour combination. A quick trim was also given to even out my hair length as it was all over the place. I nearly fell asleep while the dye was being washed out because it was so relaxing. To top it all off, Jo styled my hair in soft waves that made me feel as if I was a bit of a movie star. Even after over a week of hair washes, my hair still feels soft as ever and I keep trying to style it the same way if I have enough time. It will be interesting to see what happens when the colour fades and my roots start to grow in.
Originally this service would have probably left me unable to go shopping for quite some time, costing up around $200, but this was a service that was done for free. I felt the end results were well worth it to indulge in hair colour and care from this salon. I'll be keeping this one in mind for whenever I know I need special care and attention for my hair and have the money to afford it.
