Oh my god I hate this product so much. Not only does it come in the worst packaging (aka no brush or way to get the product out), it is super drying/matte. If you have any lines at all (even smile lines!!) this product accentuates all of that and becomes cracked at those parts. Had to dump this because it just sucked for me. I have dry-normal skin, with it more normal in the summer, but nope it didn't work. -

I felt like this made my lips peel more? The scent is nice though but I don't think this is thick or hydrating enough for me at least. You can get petroleum jelly or another alternative for much cheaper. -

Carmex is my holy grail. My lips are chronically dry (I drink a lot of water too!) and this always stops it from cracking. There is a scent though and it's honestly not that bad, but you either like it or you don't. There is a cherry scented one if you find the original off putting. It's cheap and effective and I use this interchangeably with regular petroleum jelly. I always make sure that I have one with me or else I'll lick my lips all day and make it drier. -

This is a Japanese sake "lotion." It's not the western ideal "lotion," if anything it's more like a toner here, albeit more moisturizing. A little goes a long way and I literally just need one pump to cover my face. One thing to note though, this is sake which is a yeast. If you have fungal acne I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS because it will cause flare ups! Always patch test! This has some brightening properties that I somewhat notice (not really, but I do get told that my face looks brighter) but obviously only when used long-term. I love layering with this and would always repurchase when I run out! -

I absolutely love this and my skin could not live without this.I live in Toronto but at times it can get really cold, and the winds can get really harsh on my skin. I use this AM + PM and I wake up every morning with soft skin. My skin is very dry and I do have eczema, but this oil does not cause any flare ups. One bottle lasts me a year and I use it year round (sparingly in spring and summer.) Also The Ordinary has an amazing return policy so if it doesn't end up working out, you can always get a refund within a year! -

I like wearing this in the morning because it protects my skin from the wind. It's unscented and works will on my eczema-prone and sensitive skin. Saved my skin from cracking. This also lasts a longggg time since you don't need much to apply to your face. I like combining this with squalene oil to have the ultimate moisturizing experience. -
Vaseline Lip Therapy Aloe
I find this variation of the Lip Therapy line better because it is more moisturizing than the rose one, though I have never tried the cocoa one. Smells like a sweeter version of aloe if that makes sense. This would save my dry lips from cold winters... +

But, the packaging is a pot so you have to dip your fingers in to get the product. It's pretty inconvenient if you're out and you can't wash/sanitize your hands so you have to bear with dry lips. Consistency is like vaseline. -

The texture is fluffy? but thick at the same time. I use this as a layer with my other moisturizers, but it's not hydrating enough for my skin in the winter. I keep one in my backpack and use this during the day when I feel like my skin is flaky. -

Dry/dehydrated skin, sensitive and eczema prone. I live in a dry and cold climate. I love, love, love this product!! It is extremely cost friendly, and it will last you quite a long time. I use around 1.5-2 drops morning and evening and it makes my skin plump. I would highly recommend applying this to a damp face and then layering an occlusive over, especially if you live in a cold and dry climate like me. Also, pat it in your skin gently. -
