I recently tried this lip balm and really liked it in comparison to the Chapsticks, Lobellos of the world. Goes on smoothly and isn't waxy at all. Feels like butter on my lips. Comparable to high end lip balms such as the RoC one in the white tube (which is more expensive). The scents are nice as well - not offensive, natural and not chemically or cheap and flowery at all. Definitely recommend it! -

This is a great little headband made by Goody that really does stay put without ripping at your hair or slipping off the back of your head throughout the day. I wear it for both working out and with my hair down in the evenings/weekends. There are three in the pack (of the thin ones) for under $10. -

Sine I refuse to wear foundation, I am always on the search for a great concealer and powder (just for the areas that need it) that provides medium coverage without cracking under eyes and around my nose. I have a drawer-full of concealers, ranging from high-end to drug store brands. They all seemed to cake under my eyes or slide off of/ flake in my oily t-zone area. While this concealer is too light for major zit coverage, it is great under the eyes, almost as if it has some moisture to it. I also use it around my nose where it's a bit red. I then follow up with a dusting of powder to set and even out my face. And at under $10, you can't beat the price! -

Since this perfume came out, I have actually followed women down the street to ask them what they were wearing - i loved it and HAD to have it. It smells different on everyone, but good on everyone who I've come across....except for me that is. For some reason, sadly, it just turns strong and "off" on me. It's body chemistry and maybe the time of year. Sigh....my search for the perfect scent continues..... -

I have been frequenting the Rebel House for about seven years and always enjoy my meal. I regularly meet my female friends there for catching up over a beer and burger and have also gone there on casual dates. They have a great selection of beers on tap and the Rebel burger with buffalo meat is a fave of mine (with their kettle fries and malt vinegar - heaven). It's cosy in the winter when it's blowing show outside and lovely on the patio in the summer. Their weekend brunch is amazing as well - great eggs benedict with smoked salmon. mmmmm... getting hungry just thinking about it.
For a date, the only issue is the proximity of neighbouring tables. Service is good, but often a bit on the snippy side. Other than that, it's in my top 5 Toronto favourites.

I bought Joe Fresh flips last summer and am still wearing them. They are comfy, the straps are close enough to my foot that they don't "flop" off and their colour selection and price are great. My only comment/story is that the metallic army green colour that I have must have had actual metallic flecks in the rubber that set off the alarms at the airport! I found that amusing. And humiliating. But I am still wearing them, so they're obviously worth the embarrassment... -

I picked this one up at the airport before a 3 hour flight and by touch-down, had finished it. I couldn't put it down, mainly because it contained lots of interesting info that you didn't know along with an undertone of animal rights messaging. Overall, the suggestions they make to lose weight make sense - portion control, reading labels to "eat clean" - if you can't pronounce it, you probably shouldn't put it in your mouth. Most compelling for me was the insight into the hormones that we ingest through dairy and meat. If they're pumping animals full of them, we're consuming them too. I also love the author's observation that animals stop seeking milk after a certain age - then why do humans feel they need it after puberty? As a meat and dairy eater, it did make me think about cutting back a bit.
Sounds heavy but overall an interesting, amusing read with some good facts and opinions. Worth a read if you're into reading about health, diets, etc.

I'm a lipbalmaholic. When I have a bad day, I go out and treat myself to a new lip gloss or balm to feel better. In this case, it definitely worked! I love the retro container and soft, pinky colour of the balm. The smell is nice and light and doesn't irritate me. For me the test is how it feels when I rub my lips together - smooth, not goopy and not gritty. While I'm not thrilled with finger application, after I have put it on my lips I rub the excess on my cuticles to soften them. Double duty! -

Agreed. Chanel Chance is a great perfume, though I do find that it changes on me through the seasons, so I have to be careful when I wear it (seasons) and where on my body. Because it is a bit stronger, anywhere near my face tends to give me a headache by lunchtime. For scent consistency, a good tip is to spray your clothing instead of skin so it's more true to what's in the bottle. -
