I had the pleasure of trying Vichy Purete Thermale 3-in-1 for free as a member Chick Advisors Product Review Club. I've tried a few different Micellar Solutions but this definitely wins the prize. Vichy Purete is excellent when it comes to removing makeup and residue off my face. My face doesn't feel 'sticky' after use. The scent is pleasant and refreshing. The retail price is $19.95 and in my opinion worth every penny. A little goes a long way. I will be purchasing this in the future once the one I am currently using runs out. -

A few days before the July long weekend I tried a new location for a wax appointment. They were very accommodating and I was able to get in Sunday morning. I made the appointment with a girl named Helen based on a review I had read online singing her praises. Upon entering Lux Nail Bar I was greeted warmly and immediately taken to the room for my appointment. Helen was wonderful. She is friendly and very easy to talk to. Before I went into the room for my appointment I mentioned to the man at the front desk if there was a possibility I could be fit in for a shellac polish change. I told him no worries if he couldn't and then headed back. Helen told me that she would leave the shellac colours out for me and that there would be no probably having the polish change done. I sat down after my initial appointment and even though I didn't have an appointment for my nails she did not rush the polish change. In fact it was the best polish change and shellac experience that I've had! My nails still look great but I want a different colour otherwise I could probably go a couple more weeks with them as they are. She did a great job. I definitely recommend this nail salon located in the Bayview Sheppard area. Ask for Helen you will not be disappointed! So happy that I have now found a place closer to home!

On a recent trip I ran out of moisturizer!! I just needed a small sample so popped into Boots and grabbed a travel size Nivea Smooth Repleneshing Body Lotion with Shea Butter. I fell in love with the light scent and how quickly the lotion seemed to work on getting the soft skin I was looking for. When I returned to Toronto I made sure I purchased a large bottle. A little goes a long way and for what you pay ($4.99 sale) you get enough to last you quite awhile. I apply daily after showering. Will definitely be purchasing this again! -

Simple Kind to Skin Exfoliating Wipes are my go to wipes when I don't feel like using 'regular' face wash. I love that these wipes do the job and remove all my makeup with one wipe. The bonus is one side has the exfoliating magic that I love! Makes my face feel revived and clean. I always make sure I have Simple wipes in my cupboard and definitely take them with me on vacation. I usually purchase at Shoppers Drug Mart or Walmart! -

I had the pleasure of trying these delicious cookies last summer in England. They are amazing with a nice cup of tea or coffee. Made in Belgium these cookies have a slightly caramel taste and a nice crunch with each bite. They have been around since 1932. Recently I was on a flight to NYC and they were handing out Lotus Biscoff cookies. Thanks to the flight attendant on Delta I went home with a nice little stash! Walmart sells them however finding them in Toronto is like looking for a four leaf clover. I stock up when heading stateside so I recommend you bring back a few if crossing the border. Or ask a friend to bring them back for you, you won't regret it! -

I received Adrien Gagnon Decadent Fudge Nutriforme Bars for free through ChickAdvisors product review club. I loved these bars. I've had health bars lately that I quite frankly gave away to someone else after the first bite! With these I had no issues devouring it on my own! Loved how filling they were and a nice size compared to thinner bars. I used the bars to substitute lunch while on the go. It kept me going till an afternoon snack and even till dinner time! Retail price is between $10-$12 and I believe fully worth the price. Delicious fudge taste that doesn't leave a nasty aftertaste like some bars.
As stated on packaging/their website:
"To replace a meal when in a hurry.
As a protein-rich snack for active people or for those who train. Useful in weight reduction only as part of an energy-reduced diet. Replacing 1 or 2 meals daily with a Nutriforme bar helps reduce the number of ingested calories and promotes weight loss".
I tried looking for them to purchase but haven't seen them I retail stores in the Toronto area as of yet! Hope to find them soon so I can purchase more. They hit the spot when you don't have time for a sit down lunch or any other meal you'd like to replace!

I received Adrien Gagnon Super Energex for free through the Product Review Club. Each box contains 20 ampoules. Retail price $12.49 a box. It markets itself as "an energizing tonic that fights fatigue and helps increase resistance to stress. Fast and sustained action". I took mine with a glass of water. You can dilute with water or fruit juice they recommend taking it in the morning. You can use the product daily for a month. Upon opening I did not find the scent even remotely appealing. I decided to use an ampoule in a glass of water. The smell and taste just did not mix well. It tastes like plastic and leaves a strange after taste. I felt a bit naseous after drinking. I would not recommend this product nor will I use it again. My friend said she would try using it in a smoothie. Perhaps that will do a better job at masking the Energex. -

I had the opportunity to try Simple Micellar Cleansing Water for free through Chick Advisors Product Review Club. Retail price for this item is $6.99 for 198ml. It is free from Artificial Perfumes and Dyes. This product is applied using a cotton ball. I love how you can see the makeup/dirt being wiped off your face. It didn't leave my face dry after cleansing and there was no scent after using. I would purchase this item again in the future and find it more appealing then other Micellar Water products I have tried recently. -

I received Simple Micellar Make-up Remover Wipes for free through Chick Advisors Product Review Club. I love how soft these wipes are and effective when it comes to removing my makeup at the end of the day. My skin feels clean and refreshed! I will definitely continue to use these wipes and purchase them again in the future. They have NO Dyes and NO Artificial Perfumes. The package contains 25 wipes for a retail price of $6.99. For the quality I think it's a great deal! -

I received Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer for free through Chick Advisors Product Review Club. Retail price $10.99 for 125ml. As the container states the product contains: Pro-Vitamin B5 (helps restore, soften and smooth), Glycerin (hydrates and nourishes), Bisabolol (helps soothe and calm), and Allantoin (helps soften). NO PERFUME, NO DYES. It also claims to keep you moisturized for 12hrs! I liked how easily the moisturizer glides onto your skin. A little definitely goes a long way. It does the job BUT the only reason I would not purchase in the future would be the scent. It has a lingering scent of plastic? That's the best way I can describe it. Can't quite get over that so will probably pass on purchasing this in the future. -
