Loved the Garnier Skinactive Micellar Water I received for free from the Product Review Club! This is an all-in-1 cleanser that removes makeup+cleanses+refreshes. Retail price $9.99 and totally worth it for the size of the product (400 ml). It does a great job removing makeup and dirt from the skin and I loved the refreshing feeling after use! I would definitely recommend this product it is for all skin types even sensitive! It is oil, alcohol, and fragrance free! -

I was excited to finally receive this product in the mail. It was shipped to me for free through the Chick Advisor Product review club. Miracle Anti-fatigue Hydra-gel moisturizer feels nice and cool as you are applying to your skin. It sinks right into your skin so you can apply makeup over it immediately. Unfortunately for me it made my skin break out a bit. Which really surprised me as my skin usually doesn't have any issues with skin care products! I don't know what it was in the product that caused me to react. Because of my reaction I won't recommend this product. Retail price for this item $24.99 not bad if you consider the other moisturizers that are in stores these days! -

Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation was a product sent to me for free. I'm reviewing this as a member of Chick Advisors product review club. I found this foundation to be OK. It's not the most spectacular foundation out there I've definitely tried and use better. The item is sold for a retail price of $16.99 and contain 1fl oz (30ml). Maybelline labels this is their first gel-whippped foundation that provides a 'soft-matte finish just like velvet'. It does feel nice on my skin and I do like the coverage it's just the right amount without making you look like you're wearing anything at all! I would purchase again in the future if my go to product was not on hand! -

I received Maybelline New York Dream Blender for free as a member of the product review club. Retail price-$7.99. You are supposed to use the blender with the foundation. Before use it's recommended that you wet and towel dry for lighter coverage. I did this upon initial application. The blender dries immediately so you don't have to wait around long. I really found there was no point in it. I applied half of the foundation with the blender the rest with my fingers. I just found it easier to use my fingers to gently blend in the foundation. Unless you are keeping the blender in its original packaging it does not come with a cover. Which is a bit silly because I wouldn't want to just throw it into a makeup bag exposed. I'd pass on this and wouldn't recommend you're better off using other makeup sponges or your fingers! -

I recently ran out of a high end daily scrub that I had been using for years. They do sell their item at Shoppers Drug Mart but they were out of stock. I headed over to the other section and came across Aveeno Skin Brightening Daily Scrub. Regular retail price at Shoppers was $16.99 but it was on sale for $9.99. I immediately became hooked on this daily scrub. I use it twice a day and love the feel of the microbeads on my skin. This product is soap-free, oil-free, hypoallergenic , and non-comedogenic. After a week of use my skin feels softer and does in fact look brighter! I will definitely not be purchasing the high end daily scrub again. Not only will I be saving myself money but I will now have a product that works even better on my skin! -

Brookside Chocolate Tablet bar in Blueberry Almond with Acai Flavour, was the last I sampled for free, through ChickAdvisors product review club. This bar is just far too sweet, claims to have almonds but you can barely taste them and the blueberry that is within the bar keeps getting stuck to my teeth. It also has left an unpleasant taste in my mouth. Perhaps the mixture of all the ingredients???? As I said in my previous reviews if you are looking for quality Dark Chocolate this just isn't it. The best of the three in taste would be cherry crisp if you were to purchase any. Otherwise skip this one there are far better Dark Chocolate bars out there! Disappointed in these Brookside Bars I was hoping for so much more!

This is another Brookside Chocolate Tablet Bar that I received free through the product review club. The label says there is coconut in this product but I certainly couldn't taste any or the mango for that matter. Upon opening, it smelled a bit like coconut scented sunscreen but I couldn't detect any bits. It is very sweet and just leaves an overall unpleasant taste in my mouth. Again it says it is a Dark Chocolate but if you are looking for the 'real stuff' look elsewhere! Will pass it along to friends to give it a try! Would definitely pass this one by if I saw it in stores! I now need to brush or eat something else that will kill the taste left in my mouth!
This is disappointing as I do enjoy other Brookside products!

This tablet bar is nice but if I wanted a 'proper' dark chocolate I would look to another company to provide what I need. At a retail price of $3.69 I find it to be a good price for the product you receive. The combination of cherry and pomegranate work well together. Would I purchase it again? I'm not sure it depends on what other chocolate products are close by at the time!
