Yesterday I enjoyed a delicious meal at Moxies Fairview Mall! My friends and I have frequented this location quite a bit in the last few months! The food is delicious and the service spot on! We always happen to get placed in the same section as a server named Krish! He's wonderful and attentive without being too in your face! I highly recommend the Loaded Burger (served with fries) their sweet potato fries are just as good! For something light their soup sandwich/ or salad/sandwich combos are great! Their broccoli cheddar soup hits the spot on these chilly days! I also love that their desserts come in mini sizes so you don't feel as guilty! Definitely try the sticky toffee pudding!! Prices are $13+ for their burgers but the quality is worth it! -

I tried the Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape for free as a part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I had a pair of jeans I had been meaning to take in to hem. While the product did the trick when it came to hemming my jeans. I really prefer a more 'clean' 'finished' look to my jeans so would probably just get them permanently hemmed in the future. Having said that it was nice to have the option to adjust the hem based on what type of shoes I was wearing! I would recommend this for a quick fix maybe for children clothes or even for sleeves. If I use it again it won't be for jeans! -

I took part in the Chick Advisor #tryshellac review. Therefore received the Offaly Fast Removal Kit for free. I had a wonderful experience at the salon and loved my manicure. The removal not so much. In fact I honestly was not too impressed with the CND Offly Fast removal. The kit comes with foil remover wraps, orangewood stick, replenishing remover, and Solar Oil a nail and cuticle conditioning polish. I just found it to took longer then the recommended 8 minutes. I didn't really care for the look of my nails after. In fact I actually ended up putting vaseline on each nail after. In the future after a Shellac manicure I would just go back to the salon for removal. I wouldn't recommend this product. -

I received Scotch Essentials Easy Fix Buttons for free as a member of Chick Advisors product review club. I lost two buttons off my so not sexy but oh so comfy penguin pyjamas lol. These buttons were great! What a smart idea so happy I didn't have to deal with sewing! All I needed to do was peel off the backing hold in place, remove clasp from the pin and my button was secure. I have placed the other buttons and clasps in my handbag for on the go incidents. Definitely something I recommend everyone have on hand for moments on the go or just those moments where you're home and don't feel like sewing!! -

So a couple of months ago I took a pair on Roots Mantra pants to Stitch It for some hemming! I found that the pants were still a bit too long for me! I was constantly tugging them up throughout the day. I was excited when the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips arrived! This item was free as part of the Product Review Club. These bonding strips have done the trick! I have had absolutely no issues with it coming apart, have washed and it has still remained intact. LOVE IT. Now when it came to the application the strips are quite sticky. It's recommended that you wet your fingers before applying so they don't stick. I did this repeatedly for each strip. However lets just say I'm glad there were no children around when applying as there were some choice words. Would I purchase this again? Absolutely. In fact I think my days of having my pants tailored may just be over! Highly recommend! -

I loved how quickly the process was when it came to receiving the CND Shellac Manicures. I loved that my nails were dry instantly and I was able to leave the salon and do what I needed to do without worrying about ruining the polish. My manicure is still going strong minus one nail! Completely my fault but my hand slipped while using a knife and it came down pretty hard on my nail. It wasn't until a day or two after that, that a portion of the polish came off. I'm certain had I not had a slip-up this would not have happened. The colour I chose was Nordic Lights which I love as a fall colour. I received many compliments on the colour choice! I would get another CND Shellac Manicure as well as recommend it to friends! -

I arrived at Upper Village Spa a bit early for my appointment. I was offered a seat and a beverage. I declined the beverage as I had just had one before my appointment. The spa itself is small yet intimate and very inviting. Everyone was friendly and had a smile on their faces. Honestly it was as if I was a regular and not my first time. I think I was seated for less then 5 minutes before the wonderful Cheri came to get me for my manicure. Cheri explained the Shellac procedure and offered various colours for me to choose from. She was professional, funny, friendly, just an altogether warm and lovely person. I would 100% head back to this salon and upon leaving I instantly told friends about the salon and my wonderful experience. -

I usually only use a serum at night, however Vichy Idealia Life Serum is used in the morning too. When I apply in the morning and night I usually let the serum "dry" before applying moisturizer. As noted in my Vichy moisturizer I found fine lines seemed to disappear after one application. I do intend to purchase this product in the future as I find it brightens my face especially after a few hours sleep! The price is reasonable compared to other high end brands! -

I throughly enjoyed this product. I have very fine lines (laugh lines but still lines). I can honestly say after one use these lines were no longer visible the following morning. The lines were filled in and my face seemed fuller-in a good one. I love the texture as well as the scent (not the least bit overbearing). At a retail price of $52 it is worth the price! This is my first time trying Vichy and I will purchase again in the future! Sometimes it's nice to try something new-I tend to stay with my go to brand! -

Baroness Chocolates Tantric Tiger wins the overall prize in my eyes! This chocolate bar was included in a box as part of Chickadviors Product Review Club. With a combination of roasted almonds, cranberries, and sea salt in semi-sweet chocolate....all I can say is YES PLEASE! Loved the high quality taste and how this chocolate bar hit the spot. I don't think anyone can go wrong with chocolate and cranberries. Baroness Chocolates does a great job combining two of my favourites. I will definitely be purchasing these bars in the future. The fact that the are certified kosher, fair trade, gluten free, organic, and is free from GMO's is also a large part of the appeal. If you haven't given Baroness Chocolates a try I suggest you do it definitely has a better taste then the 'Average Joe' bar! -
