I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
I have long, straight fine hair but lots of it (aka tends to get weighed down!) so I was really looking forward to trying this new shampoo which claims to take away all the "bad stuff" associated with hair care products. After about a week of using the Pantene Pro-V line of Aqua Light products, I did not notice a significant difference vs my usual shampoos. To be fair, I believe the reason behind that is that I already use clarifying shampoos or other hair care products that claim to pump up the volume so I wasn't surprised that the difference was negligible. I did, however, feel better about not using products with silicone in my hair so net net, I would buy this product again.

In my review of the shampoo and conditioner, the consensus was that I would definitely buy the Aqua Light products again especially because of the claims to take away all the "bad stuff" associated with hair care products. Like most of the other reviewers, I had an issue with the conditioning spray in that I could not feel a difference between using and not using the conditioning shake. I sprayed half of my head with the conditioning shake and left the other half untreated before blow drying. End result was that, I could not feel any difference. Kudos to Pantene for making a spray or heat protectant that feels so lightweight that you cannot detect it (aside from the strong scent) but I was pretty disappointed that it was not effective as a heat protectant.

I have long, straight fine hair but lots of it (aka tends to get weighed down!) so I was really looking forward to trying this new conditioner which claims to take away all the "bad stuff" associated with hair care products. Sadly, after about a week of using the Pantene Pro-V line of Aqua Light products, I did not notice a difference vs my usual shampoos. To be fair, I believe the reason behind that is that I already use clarifying shampoos or other hair care products that claim to yield more volume or are amplifying so I wasn't surprised that the difference was negligible. Psychologically, I did feel better about not using products with silicone in my hair so net net, I would buy this product again.

If you're looking for a stain fighter to pre-treat your clothes with - this is the product for you! Since my husband is in construction (read: his clothes have THE stubbornest stains ever!) - I have tried so many stain removers and this one works on almost everything - grease, grass, blood, olive oil, red wine, blueberry, mustard, etc. 5 minutes before I start my laundry, I pre-treat all of the stains on my husband's shirts with this bad boy. While aiming the gel stick directly on the stain, you simply push down on the stick and the gel automatically gets dispensed onto the stain - a quick and easy single-handed operation. To help work the gel into the stain, use the "nubby" head of the applicator to rub the gel into the stain. Toss into the washing machine and voila! A little goes a long way - I have had my bottle for 6 months now and haven't even used 50% of it. The best part is the smell - it's a super fresh scent that doesn't overpower. Highly recommend it if you haven't tried it yet! -

When I received the toothbrush in the mail, my initial reaction was "hmm another one of those disposable power toothbrushes" but to my surprise, I found a SIGNIFICANT difference in quality versus manual toothbrushes AND the other power toothbrushes in the market. I was impressed by the feather lightweight and the slim handle. Though small in size, the Oral-B Pulsonic Power Toothbrush packed a mighty punch. Took some getting used to as the vibration is almost "ticklish"! I love the built in timer that lets you know when to switch to the next quadrant of your mouth. It also lets you know that you have brushed your teeth for the full, dentist recommended 2 minutes. After using this toothbrush for about two weeks, I have noticed that my teeth feel much cleaner, brighter & whiter. The "clean" feeling also lasts way longer. I look forward to tossing out my old crappy manual toothbrush and will use the Oral-B Pulsonic Power Toothbrush going forward! -

My husband and I live in Parkdale and have always wanted to eat at Lardon since it opened last March. First impression of the restaurant is that it's very cozy and quaint. I loved that seating was limited and intimate (definitely recommend reservations!)...made it feel like we were celebrating a special occasion. The wine list is short, sweet, and unpretentious. We ordered the poached lobster as an appetizer to share, beef bourguignon, and rainbow trout. When the food came, my husband and I were both oddly silent as it everything was so delicious we hardly had time to chat other than with the occasional "yum." Our server was very attentive and came by every so often to check up on us. All in all, we thought Lardon was a 5 out of 5. Now that we have tried it, we are hooked! -

As soon as I got my samples, I immediately started to peel, apply and reveal as per the instructions. I took note of the easy-to-follow instructions and applied the strip to my lower teeth then my upper teeth. I immediately noticed that the "bond" to my teeth was much stronger than the regular whitening strips I was used to. The strips did not slip or move around which was great! I tried my best to leave the strips on for 2 hours but unfortunately, I felt a bit of tingling sensation on my lips (must have gotten some peroxide on my lips) and some sensitivity to my teeth so had to remove the strips after about 1.5 hours. Compared to the regular strips (i.e. non-express), these ones were a bit harder to remove but it was by no means difficult at all. I noticed a difference in colour right away - even my husband commented on how bright my teeth looked. However, I would probably not use this product often as I found that my teeth were extremely sensitive and borderline uncomfortable afterward. -

I decided to test out this product out on a week-long camping trip to Killbear Provincial Park - figured THIS would be the true test to see how well it will actually work. Immediately, I loved the way the product felt on - it was truly lightweight and easy to absorb into the skin. I did not have any issues as I would normally with sunscreen leaving behind streaky white marks. I did find myself reapplying more frequently as I couldn't feel the product "on" my face as I normally do with regular sunscreen. After a week long test, it fared well against regular sunscreens (which I used on my body) and I found myself picking it up to use on my face because of its ability to absorb into the skin. After the Killbear experience, I decided to use it in conjunction with my makeup to test out if the product would be able to withstand daily use. Sure enough, it wasn't oily or greasy and felt like a fantastic base to apply make up. I was so happy that it didn't diminish the longevity of my makeup that by the end of the first day, I was convinced that I should be using it daily. -

Having tried the Marcelle Essentials 1st Wrinkles SPF 15 day cream for about two weeks now, I have not seen a noticeable difference in the amount or depth of wrinkles between day 1 and day 15. I can, however, appreciate the fact that this had the SPF 15 factor which is vital in a day cream. I found the formula to be a bit too thick for use in the summertime as it forced me to tote along some oil-blotting papers. I loved the light scent of the cream as it helped to remind me that there was sunscreen in the formula. I am putting it back in the cupboard for the summer and giving it another go for the winter to see if it will help my complexion then. -

I have been meaning to clean a stubborn grease stain at the bottom of my stainless steel stock pot for a while now. I've been using the pot as a popcorn maker lately and I wasn't able to get the stain off with just plain old soap & water OR steel wool OR baking soda. I decided to try using VIM on it for the first time. It took quite a bit of VIM and a tiny bit of elbow grease but I am happy to report that the grease stain is no longer. VIM helped restore my stainless steel stock pot back to its original, shining glory (meaning, I no longer have to hide it in the cabinets)! I would recommend the VIM Cream Lemon Cleanser to anyone who's had to put more than a little elbow grease into cleaning. I really like that the cream is a light lemony scent which acts as a reminder that it's clean. Can't wait to try it in the bathroom - there are even bigger fish to fry there. -
