Moving in from Chicago, newcomer Ren McCormack (Kevin Bacon) is in shock when he discovers the small Midwestern town he now calls home has made dancing and rock music illegal. As he struggles to fit in, Ren faces an uphill battle to change things. With the help of his new friend, Willard Hewitt (Christopher Penn), and defiant teen Ariel Moore (Lori Singer), he might loosen up this conservative town. But Ariel's influential father, Reverend Shaw Moore (John Lithgow), stands in the way.
Sometimes life changes are for the best and you find a new appreciation of the world around you. An interesting storyline that revolves around music and dancing. A tragedy has kept this small town from moving forward until a newcomer shows up to shake things up. A great movie about enjoying life to the fullest.

In this modern update on Cinderella, a prostitute and a wealthy businessman fall hard for one another, forming an unlikely pair. While on a business trip in L.A., Edward (Richard Gere), who makes a living buying and breaking up companies, picks up a hooker, Vivian (Julia Roberts), on a lark. After Edward hires Vivian to stay with him for the weekend, the two get closer, only to discover there are significant hurdles to overcome as they try to bridge the gap between their very different worlds.
What a great movie! Never judge a book by its cover because you never truly know a person until you get to know them. Vivian is in for the ride of her life when she meets Edward. A true Cinderella story that will have you cheering for Vivian.

M'Lynn (Sally Field) is the mother of bride-to-be Shelby Eatenton (Julia Roberts), and as friend Truvy Jones (Dolly Parton) fixes the women's hair for the ceremony, they welcome a helping hand from aspiring beautician Annelle Dupuy Desoto (Daryl Hannah). Diabetic Shelby has a health scare, which is averted but doesn't bode well for her hopes of having children. Time passes, and the women and their friends encounter tragedy and good fortune, growing stronger and closer in the process.
What a sweet and tragic movie. A superb cast of talented ladies that shine in this movie about the power of love and what sacrifices some women are willing to make to carry a child. There is a real sense of family and friendship throughout the film. This movie is a real tearjerker and was based on a true story.

As a suicide survivor, demon hunter John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) has literally been to hell and back -- and he knows that when he dies, he's got a one-way ticket to Satan's realm unless he can earn enough goodwill to climb God's stairway to heaven. While helping policewoman Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) investigate her identical twin's apparent suicide, Constantine becomes caught up in a supernatural plot involving both demonic and angelic forces. Based on the DC/Vertigo "Hellblazer" comics.
This movie was intense to watch. I found it terrifying at times and would not want to be able to see all forms of evil on earth like demon hunter John Constantine. The storyline flowed easily and kept your attention. A perfect movie for people who enjoy drama, fantasy and horror.

After a string of bizarre bank robberies in Southern California, with the crooks donning masks of various former presidents, a federal agent, Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves), infiltrates the suspected gang. But this is no ordinary group of robbers. They're surfers -- led by the charismatic Bodhi (Patrick Swayze) -- who are addicted to the rush of thievery. But when Utah falls in love with a female surfer, Tyler (Lori Petty), who is close to the gang, it complicates his sense of duty.
An action packed movie centered around a Federal Agent trying to get the goods on a gang of robbers. Johnny Utah and his partner manage to screw up a undercover operation and things start to go downhill from there. Luck is on Johnny's side as he falls for a female surfer and gets a foot in the door. An interesting movie with convincing performances from Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves.
