Fifth Avenue socialite Irene Bullock (Carole Lombard) needs a "forgotten man" to win a scavenger hunt, and no one is more forgotten than Godfrey Park (William Powell), who resides in a dump by the East River. Irene hires Godfrey as a servant for her riotously unhinged family, to the chagrin of her spoiled sister, Cornelia (Gail Patrick), who tries her best to get Godfrey fired. As Irene falls for her new butler, Godfrey turns the tables and teaches the frivolous Bullocks a lesson or two.
A wonderful movie that is sweet and funny. The cast is first rate and bring these unique characters to life with such honesty. You can't help but cheer on Irene as she falls for Godfrey. He is keeping a secret from everyone but he isn't the only one. A look at society at the time when not everyone was having it easy. Life takes a turn for the best for everyone and they all take part in the success. A movie that will have you laughing at this family antics and wondering how Godfrey does it.

An impressive cast of actors and actresses who draw you into their world with the seduction of their charming drawl. This is a film that broke so many records and made movie history. Scarlett O’Hara is a heroine with heart and determination and her soul mate Rhett Butler is a gentleman to the core. Their story will touch you and leave you spellbound. This movie will stay with you long after you’ve watched the last scene and will become one of your all-time favourites. -

I watch this movie once a year. An amazing cast with such chemistry. Incredible dance and singing numbers. Classic Gene Kelly dance numbers that are works of art. He is a remarkable and powerful dancer that has such stage presence. A happy-go-lucky story that will make you happy you hopped on for the ride. A must see movie.
