When their plans for an exotic vacation fall apart, unmarried couple Brad (Vince Vaughn) and Kate (Reese Witherspoon) must spend Christmas Day trudging around to a quartet of family get-togethers. While Brad counts the hours till he can escape the onslaught of crazy relatives, Kate begins to wonder about her own choices and ponders whether her family members are so crazy after all.
Vince Vaughn will have you laughing throughout the movie. So many memorable scenes come to mind. A great ensemble cast that bring to life a modern version on how these four families celebrate Christmas.

What an amazing performance from Gerard Butler. I cant' imagine ever being in that situation. We all have our breaking points and the character's honest pain is raw and so vivid. You can't help but feel for him and understand why he does what he does. A difficult movie to watch because of the intensity of the portrayal and the unimaginable topic.

A funny movie that puts into perspective the ups and downs of romantic relationships. You never know when or where you'll find your true love. Gerard Butler is devilishly charming and brutally honest in this movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. I liked that it was based on a true story. Amazing what Jay was able to accomplish after going through so much in his young life. Gerard Butler gave an impressive performance as Jay's mentor. Some very powerful and touching scenes. A must see movie.

Her wishes go the wrong way and are permanent when midnight comes. She has one final wish to reverse her previous wishes.
I watched this movie with my daughter. A cute story about being careful what you wish for. This is a day that Abby Jensen will never forget for many reasons. Makes you realize how important it is to treat others the way you'd like to be treated.

Sally (Sandra Bullock) and Gillian Owens (Nicole Kidman), born into a magical family, have mostly avoided witchcraft themselves. But when Gillian's vicious boyfriend, Jimmy Angelov (Goran Visnjic), dies unexpectedly, the Owens sisters give themselves a crash course in hard magic. With policeman Gary Hallet (Aidan Quinn) growing suspicious, the girls struggle to resurrect Angelov -- and unwittingly inject his corpse with an evil spirit that threatens to end their family line.
What a fantastic cast that bring this movie to life. The human spirit conquers all as life goes on. The touching bond between the two sisters is well played out and a new generation of witches are waiting to emerge. An interesting storyline that is suitable for an adult audience.

After moving to Salem, Mass., teenager Max Dennison (Omri Katz) explores an abandoned house with his sister Dani (Thora Birch) and their new friend, Allison (Vinessa Shaw). After dismissing a story Allison tells as superstitious, Max accidentally frees a coven of evil witches (Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy) who used to live in the house. Now, with the help of a magical cat, the kids must steal the witches' book of spells to stop them from becoming immortal.
An interesting historical storyline that brings the past back to life. The witches are creepy and the story of the magical cat is touching and bittersweet. The sweet bond between Dani and Cat is precious. The ending will have you shedding few tears. Not a movie for smaller children as the witches wanting to eat children was disturbing enough for me and little ones would be frightened.

Marnie (Sara Paxton, replacing Kimberly J. Brown) and Dylan (Joey Zimmerman) are going to follow their dreams to go to college, at Halloweentown University, which is also known as Witch University. Marnie is offered a full scholarship for her good deeds and for her work in the previous years. Much to her mother Gwen's (Judith Hoag) dismay, Marnie goes, and her brother Dylan reluctantly forced along by Gwen to keep an eye on her. The school is not what it seems. At the school, witches and warlocks can't use magic, instead they learn about Shakespeare and old magic history. Marnie had thought she was going to learn how to use her magic and is now crestfallen. She runs into her old friend Ethan (Lucas Grabeel) and makes a new friend named Aneesa the Genie (Summer Bishil). She also makes three new enemies in the Sinister Sisters, a triad of malevolent witches with whom Dylan is immediately infatuated and are the daughters of Silas Sinister (Keone Young).
This is the final movie in the Halloweentown series. I was disappointed that Kimberly J. Brown did not reprise her role as Marnie. It was a great finale to an interesting story. The Cromwell witches have an illustrious place in history and Marnie has a role to play in having that history come full circle.

Marnie and her friends from Halloweentown are back in this made-for-cable feature. Marnie is a teenage witch living with her family of supernatural beings in the village of Halloweentown. Marnie and her pals are interested in attending high school in the nearby mortal community, where they'll be able to spend more time with kids their age, and with the help of her grandmother Aggie, she's able to convince the town council to go along with the suggestion. However, there's a catch -- if anything dangerous happens as a result of their presence in the mortal school, Marnie and her friends will lose their magical talents. Trouble does make its way to the school, but not in a way anyone expected -- the Knight of the Iron Dagger comes to the mortal world determined to wipe out Marnie and her magical companions.
Debbie Reynolds is positively delightful as Aggie Cromwell. They have such cool adventures that you want to join in. The kids loved it and so did we. It was nice to see the emphasis that we are all unique and special in our own way and that we shouldn't judge others because they are different. Teamwork and friendship can accomplish so much when you're working together towards the same goal. Great family movie.
