Teenage brothers Michael (Jason Patric) and Sam (Corey Haim) move with their mother (Dianne Wiest) to a small town in northern California. While the younger Sam meets a pair of kindred spirits in geeky comic-book nerds Edward (Corey Feldman) and Alan (Jamison Newlander), the angst-ridden Michael soon falls for Star (Jami Gertz) -- who turns out to be in thrall to David (Kiefer Sutherland), leader of a local gang of vampires. Sam and his new friends must save Michael and Star from the undead.
Life can be dangerous when you move into a town that the "dead population" outnumbers the living. Some people in this town aren't what they seem and older brother Michael is about to find out that his life will never be the same. Will they come out of here alive?

Danny Lupo (Mark Wahlberg), manager of the Sun Gym in 1990s Miami, decides that there is only one way to achieve his version of the American dream: extortion. To achieve his goal, he recruits musclemen Paul (Dwayne Johnson) and Adrian (Anthony Mackie) as accomplices. After several failed attempts, they abduct rich businessman Victor Kershaw (Tony Shalhoub) and convince him to sign over all his assets to them. But when Kershaw makes it out alive, authorities are reluctant to believe his story.
To think that this movie is based on a true story is quite shocking. A great cast that brings these troubled characters to life. Their plans keep changing as they abduct a rich business man after they unsuccessfully try to extort money from him. You get to see how each character deals with the pressure of pulling off this plan that is slowly unraveling. Greed can make you overstep yourself and these men are in a sinking ship. What some people will do and are willing to do will be the deciding factor for these troubled men.

The Tuohys eventually become Michael's legal guardians, transforming both his life and theirs. Michael's tremendous size and protective instincts make him a formidable force on the gridiron, and with help from his new family and devoted tutor, he realizes his potential as a student and football player.
Sandra Bullock gave a brilliant performance as Leigh Anne Tuohy. It was so heartwarming to see Michael make something of himself despite his difficult beginnings. He never lost faith and made his dreams come true thanks to the love and support of this amazing woman. A touching story based on the life experiences of football player Michael Oher.

Paul Edgecomb (Tom Hanks) walked the mile with a variety of cons. He had never encountered someone like John Coffey (Michael Clarke Duncan), a massive black man convicted of brutally killing a pair of young sisters. Coffey had the size and strength to kill anyone, but not the demeanor. Beyond his simple, naive nature and a deathly fear of the dark, Coffey seemed to possess a prodigious, supernatural gift. Paul began to question whether Coffey was truly guilty of murdering the two girls.
What a moving story brought to light by the talents of Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan. It was touching to see how Paul wanted to delve deeper to find out if John truly had it in him to kill these innocent young sisters. All you need is for one person to believe in you but will it be enough for John?

8-year-old Cole Sear (Haley Joel Osment) is haunted by a dark secret: he is visited by ghosts. Cole is frightened by visitations from those with unresolved problems who appear from the shadows. He is too afraid to tell anyone about his anguish, except child psychologist Dr. Malcolm Crowe (Bruce Willis). As Dr. Crowe tries to uncover the truth about Coles supernatural abilities, the consequences for client and therapist are a jolt that awakens them both to something unexplainable.
This movie was so intense and kept me riveted to my seat till the very end. So much tragedy and unexpected revelations will keep the suspense till the end of the movie. The storyline is so well developed that only realize what is going on towards the end of the movie and then you will be so shocked.

Spirited New Yorker Linda Voss (Melanie Griffith) goes to work for international lawyer and secret Office of Strategic Services operative Ed Leland (Michael Douglas) just before World War II. As they fall in love, the United States enters the fight against Hitler, and Linda volunteers to work for Ed spying undercover behind Nazi lines. Assigned to uncover information about a German bomb, Linda also has personal motives to fulfill: discovering the fate of her Jewish family members in Berlin.
An interesting movie that was full of intrigue and suspenseful till the every end of the movie. A love story that defies the ravages of war. I can't imagine how terrifying life must have been at that time in history. It was like watching history come to life. Both Melanie Griffith and Michael Douglas brought these riveting and inspiring characters to life.

I just had to check out this movie with the talented Emma Thompson. A murder/mystery that is suspenseful and will leave you on the edge of your seat wondering who did what to whom. It was an interesting movie that kept you guessing till the very end. Great performances by the then husband/wife team Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh.
