In the series, the title character is a talking mouse who lives in New Mouse City on Mouse Island. A best-selling author, Geronimo Stilton works as a journalist and editor for the fictional newspaper The Rodent's Gazette. He has a younger sister named Thea Stilton, a cousin named Trap Stilton and a favorite little nephew, nine-year-old Benjamin Stilton. Geronimo is a nervous, mild-mannered mouse who would like nothing etter than to live a quiet life, but he keeps getting involved in far-away adventures with Thea,Trap and Benjamin, and sometimes Aunt Sweetfur. The books are written as though they are autobiographical adventure stories.
My kids have read many of the Geronimo Stilton books. Interesting and unique books full of colourful graphics and mysterious adventures. In this live-action film based on the favorite children's tale, the trouble-making Cat in the Hat (Mike Myers) arrives at the home of bored young Sally Walden (Dakota Fanning) and her brother, Conrad (Spencer Breslin), while their mother (Kelly Preston) is out. The family's pet fish (Sean Hayes) objects to the Cat's presence, but that doesn't stop the hat-wearing giant feline from trying to have fun, no matter how much destruction is left in his wake.
It was interesting to see these characters come to life. The talented Mike Myers gave a brilliant performance. A fun-filled movie filled with mischief that the whole family will enjoy.

This animated movie, featuring the popular children's characters, begins with orphanage manager Mr. Cherrywood (Mickey Rooney) telling a story about the Care Bears. In it, a young magician's assistant falls prey to an evil spirit (Jackie Burroughs) intent on destroying all happiness in the world. It is then up to a group of Care Bears, including Friend Bear and Love-a-Lot Bear, with help from a couple of orphans, to stop the spirit using their caring powers.
Such a sweet story with all of your favourite Care Bears. Together the Care Bears will work very hard to keep the evil sprit from destroying all happiness in the world. With team work and their sweet generosity the Care Bears will not let anyone down. A lovely family oriented story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book series. Fascinating stories that are very descriptive and let you easily slip into their world. Interesting mystical characters that face life-threatening challenges. I couldn't put the books down.
