I received L'Oréal® Paris The One Sweep™ Eye Shadow (for blue eyes) in the mail. I was very excited to us it.
At first glance, the eye shadow applicator looked somewhat daunting. It is much larger than your average shadow applicator. It's pretty easy to get the hang of. You just swipe straight across the shadow then straight across your eye with the darker shade nearest your lashes.
It doesn't come through very well in pictures but the eye shadow has a nice shimmer to it.
I like the way the eyeshadow shimmers without being too overbearing. I don't want to look like I'm Sarah Sparkles on my way to a rave. This is much more subtle.
I think L'Oréal® has a great product here. It's super simple which is great for days that I have hardly any time to apply makeup... oh, wait, that's most of them. ;)

Have you heard of the Only Hearts Club®? Only Hearts Club® was founded in 2004 as a small, family-owned company that featured six soft and fully poseable dolls and twelve doll outfits.
Throughout the years, Only Hearts Club® has created more dolls and even included more outfits, pets, little sisters and horses!
Ceili Fey enjoyed playing with the dolls. She thought they and the ballet studio were fantastic - she immediately put on a show for some of her other dolls.
They also have small storybooks that teach great lessons. We received the book "Dancing Dilemma", about Karina Grace who helps Hannah Faith improve her ballet only to have Hannah improve more than Karina had planned - enough to win a much coveted spot in the Nutcracker. Karina deals with disappointment as well as jealousy in positive ways.
Additionally, we received a membership kit that included a mini version of the book "It's Hard to Say Good-Bye". Another good book, dealing with loss of a beloved pet and friendship.
Now, granted, I'm not the one in the family that plays with dolls so I mostly left this up to my eight year old daughter to really do the hands-on review of the Only Hearts Club Ballet Studio Theater Promotional Set. It was a hit.
These dolls are different than Barbie dolls in (great) ways:
They look like children (tweens) which is the target audience
They are not well-endowed females
They are dressed in cute, yet modest outfits - no midriff bearing, miniskirt wearing dolls here

I must admit that, upon receiving two flameless candles in the mail, I was very skeptical. How could flameless candles be in any way comparable to "regular" wick candles? Boy, was I in for a surprise.
Enjoy Lighting flameless candles are actually made of wax and give off a scent like a regular candle would. I received Mandarin Spice scented candles - they really give off a lot of scent, much more than some of my regular wicked candles.
Additionally, thanks to 3 LED's and a computer chip built into the candle that produce multiple points of randomly shifting light, these candles have a glow that flickers and casts dancing shadows, just like a real candle flame would! The LED bulbs will last over 100,000 hours! Enjoy Lighting claims a 75% annual cost savings when compared to traditional wicked candles.
The candles come in a variety of colors and textures. I received Pecan Mottled in Mandarin Spice Fragrance.
You can either set them to constantly on, or there is a timer option of 4, 6, or 8 hours at a time. They really do shut themselves off so no worries if you go to bed or leave the house with them on.
I was pleasantly surprised by Enjoy Lighting flameless candles. Noah (my two year old) thinks they are great, too. After they go out, he keeps bringing them to me to turn them on again. It's nice not to have to worry about anyone playing with them and possibly getting burned.
You can purchase Enjoy Lighting flameless candles at your local Target, Kmart, or many other places.

Are you looking for ways to reduce, reuse, recycle? Are you looking for ways to be more "green"? What if I told you there is a way to cut back - or even stop using - the produce bags at the grocery? What if I told you that there is such a thing as 100% organic reusable produce bags? It's true - you need look no further than Steward Bags out of Canada.
These bags are fantastic and they squish up and fit rather easily into your purse or diaper bag until you get to the grocery to use them. They also feel very strong and durable, not at all flimsy. I can't wait 'til our next grocery trip to use them some more!!
Additional info that's great to know: They are made in India, fair trade/fair labour, machine washable (gentle cycle on cold). Also, they give back by donating 5% to environmental projects.

I had the pleasure of sampling two bars of soap from Dragonfly Soap. Dragonfly Soap boasts that they are a green American (small) business that neither creates nor disposes of anything hazardous from their workshop. They strive to be planet-friendly with their handmade soap. They do not mass manufacture their products, they actually handcraft them! This is still not terribly common to find nowadays.
Also - and I think this part is really neat - all leftover slivers and end cuts of bars of soap are all recycled. Nothing gets thrown away. The company donates the bigger end cuts to charities or gives them as gifts to customers. The shavings from the trimmed edges of the bars are made into soap balls and sold or given to kids with instructions on how to make their own soap balls or soap on a rope.
For my soap scents, I chose Jasmine and Tangerine Moisturizer Bar Soap. I used them each on separate occasions. They both smell very good, yet not overpowering. Both soaps had a nice lather. The Jasmine soap smells very indulgent and romantic. The Tangerine Moisturizer Bar left my skin feeling softer and, it too was accompanied by a delightful, yet slightly more subtle, aroma.
I don't know about you but I like it when my products have ingredients I can pronounce.
Jasmine ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, coconut, palm and shea butter. Scented with jasmine fragrance oil.
Tangerine ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, coconut, palm, wheat germ, macadamia, cocoa and shea butters. Tumeric and paprika added for color. Scented with tangerine, orange, and litsea essential oils. Sodium lactate added for hardness.
Dragonfly Soaps cater to every "taste" with soaps with scents like Forest Floor Soap that smells woodsy, Exotic Earth Soap fragrant with patchouli, amber and vanilla; Garden Lavender Soap that customers claim keeps bugs at bay; Shaving Soap (for men or women); Lemongrass Gardener's Scrub Soap to cleanse and soften hands and feet; Triple Chocolate Mint Soap; Old Fashioned Lavender Soap; Baby Soap or Baby Your Skin Soap with no added fragrance... So many to choose from - lots that I didn't mention here.
