Thanks to @chickadvisor @butterly @garnier I had the opportunity to try Garnier Whole Blends shampoo bar, for free! The scent I received is honey treasures and it smells amazing, with a sweet, warm honey scent. It was very easy to use, similar to a bar of soap. It lathers slightly different than a traditional shampoo. It’s much less foamy, but it tends to stay put and not drip down your face. The particular shampoo bar I tried is for damaged hair. Usually my hair becomes quite frizzy and flyaway after shampooing and I need to work at getting it smooth. I must say I was so pleased and surprised that my hair was smooth, and soft after using the bar. I didn’t need to do anything to it or use additional product. Wow. It has been the best my hair has ever looked post-shampoo. I am sold. I thought of how easy and convenient this would be compared to traditional shampoo, for home or travel. It’s much less messy, and takes up less space than a traditional shampoo. There is no danger of accidentally pouring too much and wasting. Zero plastic waste and 97percent biodegradable formula make it an environmentally friendly choice. The small cardboard container is recyclable. I think this product is a winner in every way. -

I have used Vichy products in the past and I love the quality of the products I got the oppurtunity, through ChickAdvisor, to try out the Vichy Neovadiol compensating complex for dry to very dry skin. The cream has a light delicate scent that I like. I find that it doesn’t irritate my skin as with some scented products. The cream itself is very rich, so a small amount will go a long way. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturized. Makeup goes on very smoothly after applying the cream. I felt my skin looked better with use of this product -

I was able to test out Schwarzkopf hair mascara through the Chickadvisor program. It is a product that looks exactly like lash mascara and is used to temporarily cover grey roots and strands of hair. I got the medium brown formula, which I felt was a little dark for me. I remember hearing a tip a few years ago about covering grey rootsin a pinch, with lash mascara. I did try it once or twice and found it too messy. However it did sound like a good idea, and this product is made specifically for hair touch-ups. I like the mascara wand application. I felt that it gave me good coverage and was superior to other root touch ups I’ve tried in the past. I do have over 50 percent grey hair, and I home colour my hair a medium brown shade. When my roots come in it is pretty obvious. When I received this product I had quite a bit of grey roots showing, as I was overdue for a colour. It was too much to get a really good result from the product, but the hair mascara would be great for roots just beginning to show. I applied it to the grey hair at my temples and I was happy with the coverage. The price, I find on the high side for what you get. However I plan to buy it for temporary touch ups of grey roots -

I love my coffee, hot or cold. Fairly recently, I've developed a taste for cold brew coffee from the coffee shop. When I saw JJBean cold brew on sale last time I was shopping, I picked some up to try. I liked it so much that I went back for a few more cartons. It has a delicious, smooth coffee flavour. I like mine with cream or milk and a dash of cinnamon over ice. So delicious. I tried it both sweetened and unsweetened and I like it both ways. It does make for a refreshing change from hot coffee. -

I received a sampling of Power Bar plant protein bars to try out through Chickadvisor. I like to keep a granola bar or Power bar in my purse for a little pick me up. The dark chocolate peanut butter bar was probably the one I preferred out of the three flavours I sampled. However, as with the other bars, I found it too sweet and I just don’t like fake chocolate. I would rather they used real dark chocolate or leave it off altogether. -

I received a sampling of Power Bar plant protein bars to try out through Chickadvisor. The cashew salted caramel dark chocolate bar had an odd aftertaste in my opinion. I couldn’t quite place it, maybe the pea protein? I don’t care for the fake chocolate flavoured coating either. As with the other bars, I find it too sweet to be considered a “healthy” snack. -

I received some Power Bar plant protein bars to try courtesy of ChickAdvisor. The almond sea salt and dark chocolate flavour tasted ok, a bit too sweet. It’s almost more of a candy bar than a protein rich snack. There was a decent serving of almonds in each bar. I didn’t detect any sea salt. I am not a fan of “chocolatey” coating. Because of that , I don’t think I would buy these again. -

My family loves Chapman's ice cream products. They make delicious tasting icecreams and frozen treats. I love that they are a Canadian family company. If you have young children their online kids club is awesome. We just tried the butter pecan flavour for the first time and I really enjoyed it. The ice cream itself was creamy and flavourful. They didn't skimp on the pecans, there was a generous amount of good sized pieces. I think that Chapman's ice cream offers the best "bang for your buck" in the ice cream world. It's good quality at a reasonable price. -

I love the Bonne Maman line of jams and preserves. Raspberry is the family favorite but every flavour I have tried has been superior to other brands. The raspberry tastes homemade, like it's fresh from your grandma's kitchen. There is no fructose/glucose, artificial ingredients or weird additives. The raspberry flavour is the natural with the right balance of tart and sweet. I like the texture , a little bit runny. Lastly I love the jars it comes in, great for re-use and very homey looking. It's a great addition to food related gift basket. -

I am not a vegetarian, however I am trying to add more meatless meals to my repertoire. I was planning on making my usual meatless chilli recipe, when I decided to try out the Yves Mexican Ground Round. I had previously seen some good reviews for it, so why not? I tasted a little bit straight from the package, and I really liked the flavour. It was spiced quite nicely for my taste so that when I made my batch of chilli, I didn't even add extra seasoning (I was out of chilli powder) The finished product was very tasty. It added a very meaty, ground beefy, texture. In all honesty, if I didn't know better, would say I was eating a regular meat based chilli. The best part was, that there was no heavy greasiness that you might get from a meat chilli. I will certainly buy this again. Next time I will make tacos. -
