I usually pluck my hair but they were getting out of hand, so these Nair sensitive wax ready strips with white lily extract couldn’t have come at a better time. They definitely don’t and shouldn’t be warmed up with your hands. They actually work better cold or at room temperature. Once you start handling them, they get too warm and stick to your skin and won’t take the hair off and leave a lot of goop behind. Otherwise, these work really well. These small strips are able to take off a ton of hair at once. They’re too small to really reuse but if your hair grows back soft and find then you can probably get more use out of one strip. My hairs are thick and strong but even one good pull was able to get off a bunch at once. With my hairs being so strong however, it would’ve been too painful, time-consuming and would use up all of the strips getting them all of off. I would suggest using these strips more for maintenance instead of when the hairs become overgrown. All-in-all, this was a great product, didn’t have a smell for those who need or prefer to use unscented products like I do. It was also very gentle on my skin and didn’t leave any rashes or bumps behind.

I wish I had this product when I had an angry pimple that eventually popped and left an ugly scar on my nose in its wake. I don’t get pimples very often, but when I do, they either go away quickly or stay for a while. It took a while for me to get another pimple that didn’t go away quickly but as soon as I got one, I followed the instructions to wash my fave and apply the patch. I didn’t time this one very well when I applied it as I had to go back out with it on. Thankfully I was just picking someone up and dropping them off, so I wasn’t really seen in public, because it’s definitely not something that blends in when you put it on. I didn’t apply any creams or makeup after I used it. When it was time to remove it, I was pleasantly surprise that the pus in the pimple that made it look white was gone. The entire pimple itself didn’t disappear as there was still a bit of a bump when I touched it but the part that made it look hideous was gone and no scar was ever left behind. I’ll definitely be keeping these on hand as I never want to get another acne scar again.

I absolutely loved how smooth and nice it was to apply this cream to my skin without it feeling sticky or greasy or filmy. With these types of creams I always feel hot after applying them but this truly absorbed almost immediately and felt refreshing to my skin. On top of all of this, they made it fragrance-free for those of us with sensitivities to scents or smells that not only irritate my nasal passageways but my skin as well. They thought of everything in this one. My skin already feels smoother and I can’t wait to keep feeling the benefits and also seeing them with an improvement in my skintone. -

Aveeno really knocked it out of the park with this cleanser. The ingredients are for the most part very clean and for someone with mildly sensitive skin, I had no reaction. I highly appreciated that there was absolutely no fragrance and I could use it daily without my skin drying out. I can’t believe I was sent a cleanser and a refill, which I appreciate so much as this might become my new cleanser, and I do not say that lightly as I’m pretty particular with my cleansers. This cleanser really surprised me from Aveeno as I’m not used to them offering products such mild products but I appreciate it and those of us with sensitive skin will also appreciate it. Kudos to Aveeno as well for thinking of the planet and offering this product in a refill made mostly of recycled material. -

Aveeno really knocked it out of the park with this cleanser. The ingredients are for the most part very clean and for someone with mildly sensitive skin, I had no reaction. I highly appreciated that there was absolutely no fragrance and I could use it daily without my skin drying out. I can’t believe I was sent a cleanser and a refill, which I appreciate so much as this might become my new cleanser, and I do not say that lightly as I’m pretty particular with my cleansers. I tried the Batiste Overnight Deep Cleanse Dry Shampoo at night as instructed because I’m working out a lot now and don’t want to be washing my hair and stripping it of its natural oils on a daily basis. Plus, I have Black hair, which isn’t always the easiest to manage so I thought this would be a great option to give me a clean feeling in-between washes. However, I think this particular product is geared more towards non-Black hair, which tends to build up oil more quickly and gets weighed down, while Black hair is quite the opposite and needs more oils to not dry out. Although I don’t feel like the product dried my hair out, I don’t feel like it did anything to keep it moisturized either, which is a missed opportunity to me. My other issue was that the sent was a bit strong, and as someone who is sensitive to smells and who lives with a husband who is asthmatic and even more sensitive to smells, I wouldn’t be able to use this on a daily or every other day like I anticipated I would if I liked it. It did do a good job of taking away any scent of sweat in my hair but it did cause me some breathing issues at night with how strong it was penetrating through my silk cap. The scent is probably the only thing that would keep me from using this product again. I never had an issue with the scent of other Batiste products so hopefully they can change the formulation to one of those and be a bit more hydrating then it’ll be perfect! -

Upon brewing the coffee, I tried it straight up just to see if I could detect the caramel or vanilla flavours. I definitely could not. All I could taste was how bitter the coffee was. I tried it again after adding only half and half, and I still couldn’t detect the flavour. It wasn’t until I added my own sweetener, stevia in this case, to the beverage that the caramel notes finally came through. I’m glad that the pods aren’t too sugary on their own so I can add my own sweetener to it, but the coffee itself is much too bitter, where a nice smooth brew would’ve worked much better when brewing over ice. If it were a dark roast I would understand the bitterness more, but it’s medium and shouldn’t be so bitter. I will still continue to drink them but I don’t see myself buying them again unfortunately. -

I have unfortunately had an opportunity to try a few other flavours of the new Chapman’s Super Premium ice creams, so my opinion on this Cookie Jar flavour is slightly tainted; however, that by no means means that I didn’t enjoy this flavour but it’s not my favourite out of the ones I’ve tried. Without trying to compare it to the others, it is not too sweet, which is what I love about this line of ice creams and it has a great taste and lots of inclusions. My only real disappointment with it is that the inclusions don’t have much texture to it, which is probably not a big deal to most people. That is probably the only thing that would deter me from buying this ice cream again. Plus, there are so many more flavours to try. Chapman’s has really done a great job with this new line. I can’t wait to try them all. -

I got to try a sample of the Shu Uemura cleansing oil for free and I’m glad I had the opportunity as I was able to find another cleansing oil that works wonders and keeps my skin feeling nice and hydrated. It does have a light scent but it is not offensive at all and, as someone who is usually sensitive to smells, this did not give me any kind of reaction. My only minor critique of the product is that it took longer to rinse off than other similar cleansing products I use, but I don’t mind keeping it in my cleansing rotation. #gotitfree #trynatural -

The first thing I noticed about this product upon application is that you can really smell the tea tree a mile away. I’m used to using fairly lightly scented deodorants, so this one took me a bit aback, and my husband noticed it right away from another room. Thankfully although we sometimes don’t handle strong scents well, the tea tree being natural wasn’t too overwhelming or off-putting to us. I now know I can use much less and still get the same benefit. Nonetheless, others may not be able to handle or enjoy the scent, so it’s one of those products where you should already know how much you like tea tree before you buy it as it can’t be returned.
I really like that it’s made mostly from natural ingredients and recycled packaging, and most importantly that it lives up to its claims of lasting all day long. It really gives me the confidence I need to go about my day without worrying about getting smelly when I’m sweaty, as I perspire heavily, especially in stressful situations, which brings on odours. The tea tree is a great benefit when it comes to this as it kills the bacteria that causes the odours, so you naturally don’t smell and it’s not just heavily scented to mask the odour, which never works, at least not for me. The tea tree does have one other affect though that may not be welcome by all, especially if you get cut or nicks under your arm, there may be some stinging at the site upon application, so that’s one other thing to look out for other than the potent tea tree scent. However, both of these characteristics don’t really bother me, and it wasn’t painful to the point where I would discontinue using it. It just made me aware that I had some minor abrasions under my arm.
As much as I’ve been enjoying the product, I’m still on the fence about whether I would buy it going forward. Although I don’t mind the tea tree scent, it’s a bit much for everyday use for me. Maybe if I could find another scent in this line of products with similar bacteria-killing properties, I might switch to one of those instead. For the time being, I will continue to use this one till it’s finished and see if it grows on me.
