Truth be told I haven’t used a lot of Neutrogena products before receiving this duo (with the Hyaluronic Acid Serum) - Oh! Outside of their Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes Singles (that come individually wrapped) which are such a great idea for travel (when we could and when we can again :)
I like the blue and white packing of the pot and
it has a lovely fresh scent I liked - but if you are sensitive to perfumes just something of which to be aware.
This night-time serum is in between a water gel to cream thickness. I definitely like a richer moisturizer as I tend to drier skin and still quite liked it - being oil-free I think this could be perfect for someone with oilier skin to get the moisture they need without it feeling heavy on their face - especially with summer coming up!
It leaves my skin feeling smooth, kind of like how it feels after applying Smashbox primer (so you would have to play with it but maybe if used, with enough time to ensure its absorbed, you could skip that step?) Also containing Hyaluronic Acid it helps your skin absorb and retain hydration.
Retailing for about $17CAD so a great price point and value for full container of product.

I got this from a trading site #Bunz (here in Canada) so I can’t speak to the price. I love facial oils as I tend to drier skin, so was intrigued to try it. The label is cute and gives it a grassroots small biz feel, which if it is I would like to support, unfortunately I was disappointed in this product. I see it has a super high rating of almost 5 stars so clearly some people love it; but it’s not for me. I don’t like the scent - it’s not just earthy or olive oil-y which I wouldn’t mind (I use olive oil as a body moisturizer after I shower, don’t love the fragrance; but don’t hate it and can live with it for the benefits) this however, I don’t know how to describe it but I really don’t like it :( I don’t know if perhaps the oil had gone rancid and that’s why I didn’t like it? I don’t want to be unfair if that’s the reason why. However that was the first strike. My face being in the drier side usually soaks up product; but this just felt like it sat on top of my skin and takes forever to absorb, second strike lol I most definitely don’t recommend it if you have oily skin. Thirdly I don’t see any difference in using it, I know being an antioxidant oil, it may be improving my skin on a cellular level and have benefits I can’t see, but just personally felt nothing significant enough to make me put up with the first two things. I definitely wouldn’t buy it again and wouldn’t recommend it to a friend. #Skincare #Beauty -

I discovered this #mascara @Sephora - was and am still intrigued by the unique concept! I know that word gets thrown around but this is one of the rare occasions where the words “game charger” actually apply! This mascara creates a little tube around your lashes so it thickens each lash. I naturally have long lashes, but like adding some depth and curl (I use an eyelash curler before applying). It’s $34CAD so not drugstore price but definitely reasonable. If you want to try something different, definitely give this a go for a fun new experience!! It’s super fun #Beauty #Makeup -

I received this as part of a @TheBodyShop gift set so can’t speak to price; but I loved it for the scent alone. There is just something about this fragrance that is so evocative and comforting. I like the amber colour and it lathers well into a rich foam and rinses clean without stripping the skin. I got it with the #BodyShop shower loofah/sponge which is lovely as well. If you are a bodywash person I highly recommend giving this a try! I was gifted the soap in the same basket and quite liked that as well, but I liked how the scent is just a touch stronger in this. It’s something I would buy for myself. #Skincare #Beauty -

Thank you for the #ChickAdvisor and #Neutrogena for the HydroBoost Duo!
It’s been a bit since I unboxed the set as I like to give a product a good run before I review it - and I’m glad I did as the more I use it the more I like it!
The packaging is pretty - clean and fresh and the serum comes in a dropper bottle.
There is no discernible scent to me; so would be great if you are sensitive to perfumes (actually I checked after and it is fragrance-free)
The cool blue dots in the lightweight suspension melt completely upon applying and the Hydro part means it quenches my skin while the Olive Extract and B5 help create a protective barrier to lock in the moisture. I find this serum has a tightening effect which I like and I have definitely noticed my skin is smoother after using it.
Being Oil-Free (as well as paraben-free) this could be just the thing for you if you are prone to more oily skin - especially with summer coming! I think this would be a great first serum especially for teenagers as at about $17CAD it’s a great price point and value!
I liked following it with the Neutrogena Night Cold Pressed Serum (which I will be reviewing next). #Skincare #Beauty

Ahead of the curve I just received a Clarins Extra-Firming Energy: Radiance Boosting, Wrinkle Control Day Cream #sample from Shoppers Drug Mart today. So new it’s not even listed here lol. I honestly wasn’t expecting to like it that much; don’t know why I’m just not that much of a Clarins skincare girl (though I did just buy a couple of their Clarins Natural Lip Perfector and I do LOVE their Comfort Oil in their light pink, might be candy for name shade) so maybe I’m not a Clarins girl yet? lol I have a friend who swears by this brand so I know it’s good. So into this cream - it’s an peachy orange in colour and about a lotion consistency. I was surprised how much I liked it for a bunch of reasons! Delicate refreshing scent, does firm as it promises, has a vitamin complex which I always love in a moisturizer, has a sheen to it (if you are a matte person this may not be for you) but I love anything with some shimmer, that’s definitely allows it to hold up to its “Glow Complex” with the light reflection and it absorbs quickly! It’s a lightweight product (I wouldn’t consider this a rich night cream, well I guess it says day cream lol) I do think it would be perfect as a first step moisturizer before applying foundation and makeup, I definitely want to try it for that. It would also be a great summer moisturizer for when I want to go makeup free I think. I would recommend trying a sample if you can get your hands on it! It’s one I will definitely consider buying (maybe closer to summer) It retails for $92CAD but if works for you could well be worth it. #Skincare #Beauty -

I always go back to #Pantene, try others and come back to this brand time and again. I have thicker hair and I find the weight of this brand suits me better. I don’t really buy high end shampoos and conditioners so not comparing to those but to other drugstore level brands. I bought this at Shoppers Drug Mart where I purchase for the #Optimum points; but I wait until it’s on sale (otherwise it’s over-priced there) on sale it’s about the same as I would find at Walmart. Now onto this particular one, it is a thick conditioner as I prefer (probably not the best for fine hair) and it did its job as expected, it’s the reliable standard; but I didn’t note anything of significance. I personally don’t get why it’s called BB? I think they are just trying to jump on the bandwagon which is unnecessary and I most definitely don’t believe any one product can do 10 different things.... If a conditioner keeps my hair soft; shiny, smooth and untangled - that’s great! I would buy this again and would recommend Pantene overall as a brand (esp if you have thicker hair) #Beauty #HairCare -

This #Arbonne one is my absolute favourite body scrub to date. It a salt in oil that does need to be mixed before each use and has a lovely fresh citrusy spa scent. I used it with a body brush and it exfoliates my skin beautifully and leaves it so smooth and soft. The oil part plumps my skin and keeps it that way until my next shower. If you can get your hands on it, I absolutely recommend you try it!! #Skincare #Beauty -

I absolutely LOVE this, rave about it love this product and am so bummed it was only a special edition and no longer available (I do hope they maybe bring this back for another run sometime!) I bought this at #Sephora for about $35 CAD if I recall correctly and mix a few drops with my foundation and moisturizer before applying. Initially I wasn’t sure what to do with it and tried layering it on top of my foundation but that didn’t really work; next time I was in Sephora one of the girls told me it was to be mixed with foundation. It adds just that bit of glow (without looking shimmery or anything) kinda how JLo’s skin is and I imagine/hope the effect of her new products would be. The BECCA drops are in their famous Champagne shade (I haven’t tried their powder version yet, but would like to in the future). I know you can’t get them now, but if they ever bring them back i absolutely recommend them without hesitation!! #Highlighter #Makeup #Beauty -
