I got this for $1 at Dollarama and wow was I surprised at how good it was! I was expecting something like instant ramen but this was so much better in flavour (I did add a few drops of lemon juice as well) I really enjoyed the teriyaki chicken one I got but did not find it spicy (if you are spice-averse; in fact if you like it really hot you will probably have to add in some of your own chilli sauce/flakes) I like that 1 container has 11grams of protein and 35% of your daily iron (plus some Vit A & Calcium) They are wheat noodles so not suitable for gluten-free folks; but I did like the shape flat and not too thick (I prefer thinner) The flavour packet is a liquid vs powder which was nice and there is actual shitake mushroom pieces (not too many but some which is very cool) as well as some other veggies like cabbage. There are 520 calories in a container so something of which to be cognizant if you monitor your intake. I will probably be buying a few more for sure to keep on hand - I think these would be perfect for work lunches or days where you don’t have time to cook dinner. I would say these are probably the best tasting dehydrated/quick noodle dish out of all I have tried and definitely recommend giving them a go! :) -

I am delighted to have found this! I prefer eyeshadow sticks to powder and there was one by (I believe) Revlon (or maybe L’Oreal) years back that got me only turned onto them and made me a dedicated user - I had three a gold, a green/gold and a warm brown all with. I very much appreciated that they weren’t flat simple colour; but had some subtle metallic elements (more a sheen than a shimmer I would say) unfortunately the ones I loved had been discontinued as far as I could tell 😣 I tried some from others like the Sephora store brand but it wasn’t the same... This green shade, Whooping Willow, has those flecks of gold that I love for depth and after I tried one, bought 3 more :) I will also order a gold and brown one each - I got mine from Shoppers Beauty Boutique online at $23. I would note the stick kinda detached from holder pretty quickly, which is not great but it’s still eminently usable (hopefully it was just that one) the product glides on easily, no pulling of the eyelid skin. it’s creamy in a lovely way and does last for hours/the day as expected, I will sometimes touch-up and reapply in the late aft if I am going to be continuing my day into the evening for a little freshness. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you prefer this style of #eyeshadow (over powder) as I do. #Makeup #Eyes #Beauty -

I would say this is one of my favourite make-up remover wipes I have tried to date! It’s textured and removes what feels like all my makeup (but isn’t rough, still very soft) I like the green colour and packaging overall it indicates the subtle barely-there citrus scent that is light and refreshing. I paid $6 for it at Revlon pop-up shop for 25 wipes (bought two and hated the first pack of Almay nighttime soothing wipes w chamomile and vanilla, I tried to finish that pack but couldn’t and had to give it away to a friend) Out of all the makeup wipes I have tried one huge reason this is the top one for me is that I don’t feel that residue that I don’t like from others (except for maybe #Simple brand wipes, but I think this removes makeup better maybe, so that is my number two so far) I have tried Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes, Bioderma Sensibio H2O Water Wipes, Simple® Micellar Makeup Remover Wipes, Almay Night Soothing Makeup Remover Towelettes (these were the worst ones of all I have tried) and just bought a pack of 7 Pack Burts Bees Pink Grapefruit Facial Cleansing Towelettes - I have high hopes since I love anything pink grapefruit as a rule :) I am reviewing each I try to find the best one for me (and share those experiences). This is definitely one brand I recommend! Just a side note- In the pics: the first one is what I believe the packaging looks like now; however when I bought mine it was the packet in the second pic. #Revlon #Almay #Makeup #Skincare #Wipes #Beauty -

I got this in my stocking at Christmas; I probably wouldn’t have bought it for myself (as I see it around the $6 mark at Shoppers, though I might if its on sale as I love the pretty white and pink packaging - anything pink of course! :) I usually grab whatever toothpaste attracts me, is on sale, by flavour or what it says it does but have not been partial to just one brand/flavour - I think this one changes that. I like the stand-up tube so it stays neat and how it dispenses the product. It’s mild in taste, I am not a fan of harsh or biting ones (I find those are esp the ones that provide something extra - whitening or whatever) I am sure it helps maintain or even whitens to be honest I didn’t pay too much of a difference to that as I use Crest White Strips as my primary for that. I like that it combines being the Crest brand, whitening, sensitivity protection, and regular toothpaste benefits. It’s nice it has sensitivity protection (but luckily am not particularly sensitivity so I can’t speak to the true efficacy of that for those who are) I have a feeling this will be my go to toothpaste but that I will be keeping an eye out and buying a few at a time when on sale :) I would absolutely recommend giving a try and I might try their enamel protection one that seems to be the other buddy of this set. -

This was prolly one of the best reward kits I have ever gotten from #Sephora, attractive packaging and I do love the design style of KVD Vegan Beauty products themselves - cool and pretty! It came with #perfume samples of both KVD Vegan Beauty Saint Eau De Parfum & KVD Vegan Beauty Sinner Eau De Parfum -great to be able to test both and compare at once; Kvd Vegan Beauty Tattoo Liquid Eye Liner In Trooper Black and KVD Vegan Beauty- EVERLASTING LOVE LIQUID LIPSTICK in the Naz Fur Atoo red shade - I thought this was a fab idea; since I would use both to create a rockstar look together! Rounding out the kit was the KVD Vegan Beauty Lock-It Setting Powder to finish off the look and the #fragrances to complete a night out ensemble plus the exclusive pocket mirror for on-the-go touch ups! I thought the attention to details in the choices of products was wonderful, it was almost a storyboard! The size of each was generous as well; not just a barely there one-time sachet teaser taste. If this ever comes round again I would highly recommend picking it up! Especially if you’ve wanted to but not tried Kay Von D stuff; perfect little intro :) I would get it again! -

This was a sweet pink tube and I liked that the #sample packaging from #Clarins, as it held enough to give me a few uses to really be able to get a good idea. Its a lotion with a greenish-pink opal pearlescence (I didn’t notice any fragrance) I’m not sure of the price but just based on results I wouldn’t recommend it, so haven’t checked: Nothing wrong with it; just not an eye cream. It’s would say it’s more of an eye refresher and it did make my eye area feel awake and refreshed when applied, if that’s what you are looking for then this product might be exactly what you seek! Especially in summer. For me, I want a more traditional eye cream is all. #Beauty #SkinCare #Eyecream -

I happened to start using this by luck - was on sale (I believe the price was $3.99 or so) a great deal at Shoppers Drug Mart so gave it a go. I quite like it, feels like it dissolves my eye makeup with almost one swipe, so there is no pulling or tugging on the delicate eye skin (I don’t wear waterproof makeup so I can’t speak to that) it’s seems to be a gentle formula on my face and doesn’t sting my eyes. There is a a lovely light fragrance to it which I enjoy. This Nivea product is made in Germany (so I assume has to abide their stricter production/ingredient laws, than we have in North America, so that along w Nivea being our mother’s brand - who doesn’t remember the blue tin? :) I have confidence in the quality of this product) I haven’t tried a ton of eye makeup removers but I genuinely have no complaints/drawbacks to note for this product, so I have given it 5 stars. I believe it’s discontinued which is a shame - I absolutely love Love LOVE this lip oil!!! It is a gem of a find and just started my first one but adore it so much; I picked up a second one when I was at #Sephora yesterday - It’s one of those I had hope they would never discontinue products for me!! At $13CAD it’s very reasonable and not only moisturizes my lips (used it yesterday after using a kiss-proof liquid lip to restore my lips) and also gives me the absolute perfect natural hint of colour :) I have tried so many before and the colour is never exactly what I was looking for or didn’t look natural enough... this berry shade is a barely-there perfect pretty pink 💖 I highly recommend it and I know it will be a staple and go-to lip balm!! Whether in my makeup bag or tucked into the back pocket of my jeans. They also had a lip scrub version of this (which I believe my also be discontinued but if it’s not that’s a cool one too) #Lipcare #Makeup #Beauty -

I wanted to finish the bottle before I reviewed the product to give it a fair shake - it’s fine but nothing special for me. It’s a lighter product closer to a lotion/serum than a cream, so if you prefer that perhaps for summer this could be good for you. I prefer a richer eye cream myself. It has spirulina and another algae and says it’s for anti-fatigue which may be true as it does feel refreshing (however I didn’t find it helped particularly with dark circles, fine lines or bags as advertised on the box) I used it after removing all my makeup and then later applied a proper eye cream before going to bed. I used to quite like Biotherm brand products and often went for them due to the more reasonable price point and bonus #Optimum points offers (I would say it’s mid-upper range) I believe I paid about $56 at Shoppers Drug Mart for 15ml or .5Fl Oz. Biotherm seems to have changed up its offerings and I am not as big a fan of the new line up. I very much still like their pink facial cleanser Biotherm Bio Source Hydra-Mineral Cleanser Softening Mousse for Unisex especially it’s fragrance and that I believe is still the same. However the new blue line not so much the Biotherm Essence With Life Plankton for example even after using the entire bottle I have no idea what the heck this is supposed to do... I used it as a makeup remover, after removing makeup - I don’t think it did anything for me... that ones especially seemed a waste of time and money for me Biotherm Blue Therapy Eye and Biotherm Blue Therapy Night were entirely forgettable... I am currently working on their Biotherm Blue Therapy Red Algae Uplift Visible Aging Repair Firming Rosy Cream I find this is ok has a silicone feel after I apply it (much like Smashbox primer feels) I don’t hate that but we’ll see... I do find Biotherm products do have a lot of product piling for me, I don’t mind that as I see it as exfoliating/helping remove dead skin cells (but wouldn’t recommend it under makeup for that) I won’t be repurchasing this eye treatment as I didn’t find it anything particularly special about it so not worth the price for me. The packaging itself is quite nice - pretty green (I believe glass) bottle with a pump that does dispense the perfect small pea amount and at the end I didn’t see a lot of product left in the bottle (which I loathe, waste of money and product when that happens!) which is appreciated. If you like this and find it works well for you that’s great :) #Skincare #Eyecare #Beauty -

There is so much I like about these Burts Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes Pink Grapefruit wipes the packaging, I am a sucker for pink lol, I love anything pink grapefruit so the scent - super refreshing along with the feel, so much so I even used them as body wipes a few times, natural so no chemically residue sensation, which is always a big factor for me! I bought mine at Shoppers Drug Mart on sale for about $7-8 (I think regular price they are $10-11ish?) for 25 wipes. The only thing is I didn’t see a lot of makeup on the wipe after I used it which makes me wonder how much it actually takes off? Or leaves on? This being the primary purpose of the wipe (as much as it made for a great body wipe) want to tag it at 3 or 4 stars... I kind of wish there was half star options. However if it was breaking down all the makeup and removing it even if I couldn’t see it on the wipe I would have given this 5 stars hands down and would be a regular if not number 1 fav :) So far, the standout for me is the Simple brand ones; Almay Clear Complexion Makeup Remover Towelettes, were my next/previous fav. Have tried Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, Bioderma Sensibio H2O Water Wipes, Almay Night Soothing Makeup Remover Towelettes (hated those) and am starting to test a Life Brand (from Shoppers DrugMart) pack to review (all wipes purchased by me, none were sponsored/complimentary) #Makeup #Skincare #Wipes #Beauty -
