I was so excited to purchase something from Carols Daughter because I love the story behind her brand. I received it very quickly and wasn't very impressed with the packaging because I had spent $27 on it. I did one spritz on my wrist and it nearly knocked me on my butt. The scent combination is very strange and soooo intense. I couldn't wash my wrist off fast enough and the smell lingered all day. So, I was stuck with it. It literally made me feel sick. I ended up giving it to my sister who also didn't like it and we ended up just throwing it away. -

I purchased Pink Sugar several years ago from Sephora. I think it has to be one of my favorite perfumes. It smells like Cotton Candy and spices. My 13 year old loved it so much that I bought the roll on version ($19) for her for Christmas last year. She keeps it in her backpack for school. And, it's almost all gone now. It's simple, yet not overpowering. The scent lingers on your clothes, hair and skin almost all day long. -

I was watching T.V. a couple weeks ago and stumbled upon a show called Cupcake Wars. I was so excited to see that the owner and her sister of The Coffee Shop in Gilbert, Arizona was competing in the show against 3 other contestants. The Coffee Shop sisters ended up winning the show and the prize was to present a huge display of cupcakes for the Ace Of Cakes anniversary. Very Cool!
I decided to take my family to the now famous The Coffee Shop over the weekend. I wanted to try out their cupcakes and coffee. One of the winning cupcakes was called Coffee and Cigarettes, where they actually used tobacco in the batter. I had to try it. The cupcakes are beautiful and surprisingly the Coffee and Cigarettes was yummy. It tasted like a cross between Chai tea and almonds.
The cupcakes are reasonably priced at only $2.50-$3.50 each. Some of the other cupcakes we got were: Red Velvet, Chocolate Ganache, Rootbeer Float and Boston Cream. All of them seemed to have cream cheese frosting...which was good on some and ok on others. All of the cupcakes themselves were delicious.
The people that worked the counter were not so friendly though. I felt like we were being rushed to order and they were annoyed. Besides that, the atmosphere was so clean and nice. I wish it would've been cooler outside so we could've walked around and admired the scenery. Will be back again.

I have been buying Slatkin & Co. Wall Flowers for the past 4 years. I have a very big house and have 6 wall flowers in different rooms of the house. I have never purchased a scent that I didn't like. The scents travel all throughout the house and last for about 6 weeks. They are very easy to refill and work way better than the ones from grocery stores. They are a little pricey at $12.50 for a pack of refill bulbs. But, since they work so well, I've decided that they are worth the price.
I have had several people ask me how I always manage to keep my house smelling so nice all the time. The secret is Wall Flowers!

Several years ago I was spending 2-3 hours at the hair salon and paying over $100 just to get blonde hair. I decided to try Fekkai Salon Color, even though I was a little hesitant. My mom is a hair stylist and so I know that store bought blonde hair color can be disastrous! BUT, I have been using Fekkai salon color for 2 years now and LOOOOVE it! It is extremely easy to use and it doesn't fry your hair like most hair colors do. Your hair always feels really soft, silky and full of volume after you use the color.
It is $30 at bath and body works and is totally worth the money. The only downside that I have heard is that it wears off more quickly than regular hair color. So, people that get grey hair will have to color more regularly. I however color my hair with Fekkai Salon Color every 5 weeks. I also like how they have Neutral bases. My hair has natural red highlights and so the neutral color base keeps my color very neutral...no greens or reds come out.

I wanted to love DiorShow mascara so badly. I would see it in magazines and it won best mascara in several places. So, I decided to take the plunge and spend $24 on it. The mascara goes on fairly well, but, isn't very thick in consistency. As soon as I walked out in the sun and my eyes started watering...forget about it! The mascara was literally running down my face and getting into my eyes..making them water even more. I was soooo upset! I never even tried it again because I cannot have my mascara running down my face. Great mascara should stay put. So, for $24 because of it's name...who cares...not worth it! -

I am very picky when it comes to mascara. I wear it everyday so certain aspects of it are important to me. My eyes tend to water in the sun, so, the mascara can't be running down my cheeks. I also like mascara to be thick in consistency. And, the brush is very important because I don't need my eyelashes clumping together.
I do think that Sephora's Atomic Volume mascara is a little pricey at $15. BUT, I love it and find it totally worth it. Once the mascara is on my eyelashes, it stays put. The tubular brush separates my lashes ...so no clumping. And the formula is thick and makes my eyelashes nice and thick too! Yay for this mascara!
