I bought this lipliner to match with a MAC lipstick and although the colour was nearly exact, the quality of the liner was quite poor. It was not very long-lasting, nor did it glide on smoothly. It tended to run and bleed over the course of the day, despite using a lip primer. I wouldn't recommend trying this. -

When I applied the product, I definitely experienced the immediate effects of burning and irritation; however, I wouldn't say that this product is effective in its promised results. -

I love this eyeshadow palette! I'm a huge fan of NYX as they provide affordable and high quality products, and this product didn't disappoint. The pigments are high quality and long-lasting, and I have tried the palette both with and without primers, and still, the results are consistent. I've also used this palette for highlighting with the gold and pink shades, and it works out quite well!! For the price paid ($11 CDN + tax) this is well worth the investment! I would give it a 4.5+/5 for the range of colours and quality. I reserve my 5star reviews for truly exceptional products though! -

I thought I would give this product a try based on the amazing reviews I've read about it and to compare it to similar high end products. If you're looking for a product that is mattifying, this might be for you. As someone with a darker skin tone, it made my skin look white and pasty, and as I use a high coverage cream concealer, I found that it didn't help set the concealer or my foundation. I was disappointed overall. -

The premise behind these beverages is great - a nutritional beverage for kids as a quick snack, or between meals. However, after reading the ingredient list, I had a number of concerns; although it has a lower sugar content versus other brands, there is still a significant amount of sugar in both the vanilla and chocolate shakes. Furthermore, there are a number of 'oils' such as sunflower, coconut, and rapeseed oils which do provide a rich source of fatty acids, although I wouldn't really want my children ingesting these in a nutritional beverage. The only added vegetables in the chocolate shake were pumpkin and carrot.
The taste was acceptable, but not particularly strong in chocolate flavour; the vegetable flavours are hidden well.
Overall, I see the benefits in having a 'healthy' beverage as a snack; however, in this case, I will pass. I would rather create my own nutritional smoothies/shakes at home with fresh fruits and vegetables, and yogurt/milk.

I thought I would try this out as I've had unrefreshing sleep for quite some time given the variability of my schedule. I do not take medications for this as they are often quite sedating and impairing for hours after you've woken up, and thus can be quite unsafe. Melatonin has been used for quite some time as a sleep aid; however, the additional ingredients such as passionflower have questionable empiric evidence to support their utility (and safety). Furthermore, I was concerned about the addition of California poppy, which is essentially an opiate.
This product did not work well for me, as it did not relieve my restlessness or insomnia, and in fact, I was more stressed thinking about the potential side effects to actually have restful sleep!!
As with all 'natural' products, these are not regulated by the FDA/Health Canada, and can cause unanticipated side effects and adverse events, which they are not required to report or monitor. It would be wise to seek the assistance of a physician to better assess the underlying issues.

I've tried several of the 'Impress' nails, and I've been pleased overall at the results before, but on this occasion, I was actually quite impressed! I received the Impress Gel Nail with Glitter free to try, although the retail value of approximately $10 CDN is extremely reasonable for the results.
The nails are very easy to apply - you peel off the plastic backing, and apply the gel nail to your own and press down firmly, and voila!! There are several nail sizes provided in each case of 30 nails, so I would advise going through the package to find the most appropriate nail size for your own, and lining them up and preparing them in advance. In my case, I ended up filing down my own nails shorter to accommodate for the length of the gel nails.
I was quite impressed that these nails lasted over a week with just an adhesive backing. I actually ended up removing them myself before they started to peel off because I had to change the nail color for an event.
I received many compliments on these throughout the week, and I would highly recommend giving this product a try!!

After hearing many positive reviews about the Tarte brand, I decided to try several of their products, including the Birthday Suit lip paint. This shade is meant to be 'universally flattering' as I was told by the sales associate; however, I think she really meant flattering for more fair complexions. The lip paint does go on quite easily and dries quickly; however, thereafter, your lips feel dry, and the product cracks and flakes, and the colour itself is not long-lasting.
I expected more overall.
