I was very happy to be selected for Parissa's 2023 Program! I got to try Parissa's Face & Lip Hot Wax for free from Parissa and Butterly in exchange for my honest review.
I recieved Parissa's:
-Face & Lip Hot Wax (no-strip wax) (100g)
-Ultra Soothe Oil (80ml)
The Face & Lip Hot Wax came with the hard wax in a metal canister, a couple of application sticks, and 5ml of the Ultra Soothe Oil. I tried two methods of heating the wax: in a bowl of hot water, which did not work and in a pan of water on the stove. I wish the wax came in a glass container to heat it in the microwave, which is what I was used to. I did have a couple of oopsies where I spilled some wax in the pan and of course while trying to clean it, I dumped a bunch on my glass cutting board! Urg! Not to worry, like candle wax, I let it cool and it came off! Phew!
Now to the actual waxing! I did a test strip on my wrist and all was good, so I moved to my upper lip. I liked how the quick guide reminds you which way to apply the wax and it was great I to not have to mess around with any strips! The hair came off very easily, with the actual waxing only taking a few minutes. It took more time to heat it up! The results were great and effective! My upper lip feels so smooth! I really like that this is a green wax alternative, plus i couldn't tell the difference. I also feel good using it!
I used the Ultra Soothe Oil, which helps prevent redness and bumps. It contains essential oils: chamomile, peppermint, eucalyptus, cypress, and as well sea berry and vitamin E. It felt really nice and soothing.
Both the Hot Wax and Ultra Soothe Oil are advertised as vegan and natural.

I have also shaved with the body wash when in a pinch and it works great! My skin never feels tight after showering, which is astonishing given the colder weather and the indoor dry heat. I like the light scent and find it isn't overpowering. It's a great product! -

The spout has a nice closure, so you don't have to worry about leakage or resealing the pouch. The only downside is trying to figure out how to, or if it is possible, to recycle the pouch?
From the website provided next to the recycle indicator, it appears the pouch is not yet accepted for recycling. The website provided: how2recycle.info was interesting, but mostly US-based information even though I was under the Canada tab. I didn't know the site existed, so at least I learned a few new things about recycling.
I feel like this pouch is going in the right direction, but to be better, it needs to be recyclable in Canada.

🌿 Hello's Deodorant with Charcoal in the scent Clean + Fresh (73g)
It has clear instructions "apply to underarms only. think happy thoughts. smile, you've got this."! Too funny! 🤣 This is the first deodorant I have tried that contains charcoal, so the grey colour surprised me at first. I have to say that it worked great! The deodorant glides on nicely with no pulling or clumps left behind. The Clean + Fresh scent smells really nice and isn't overpowering. I also liked the extra detail of the "hello" imprint on the deodorant. I feel like it shows that the brand cares and will take the extra step to make the client feel special. It's a nice touch. 😊
I think besides it actually working, the best part is that it has: no aluminum, no baking soda, no parabens, isn't tested on animals, and is dermalogically tested, vegan, made from globally sourced ingredients, and only contains natural fragrance!
Overall, a hit in my books! I will be using this product from now on!

First off, this Purse Pet is adorable and an instant hit! It is very versatile as it can be used as a toy, stuffed animal, and purse (both as a hand bag and a long purse with its 42" strap)! It can also be used as an interactive toy because it makes sounds depending on where you touch the owl. It has over 30 sounds and reactions. Thankfully, there is a switch inside that has three settings: off, on all the time and sensitive to touch, and standby/on only when you press the button. I like that this toy has variety of options and keeps attention spans! Let's just say that it has been about a week and it hasn't been put down yet.
This is the first purse and it's cute how much it can hold ...not that I'm allowed to see exactly what is inside, but I was given a quick peek from a distance! I feel good that this Purse Pet gives comfort in many ways... as a disguised stuffie and a spot to keep treasures!
As a side note, my dog also loves the interactive abilities of the Pet Purse! He darted around the house for a good 20 minutes while the owl moved and made noises! It was both cute and hilarious! 😁🐕🐾💕

I have had sensitive teeth for along as I can remember, so I am no stranger to Sensitive toothpastes. Normally, the box will say the flavour and whether it is a gel or paste, but this one didn't, so it was a surprise! This toothpaste is in a paste format and has a light mint taste. After brushing, my teeth felt clean and my sensitive areas were relieved. I like that the mint flavour isn't overpowering because it can have the opposite effect by creating sensitivity to cold water...or just breathing! I found that it freshened my breath too. Overall, in my opinion, this toothpaste is up there with the well known Sensitive ones!
Tip: My dental hygienist gave me a couple of tips. Get rid of as much toothpaste after brushing without rinsing my mouth with water. Also, right before bed, add some toothpaste directly on the sensitive spots and leave it there. It helps with the sensitivity quite a great deal!

As you can see in my photos, the sachets ended up convincing me to take advantage of Clarins Friends & Family sale (extended until today) and buy the product! I have to commend Clarins Canada for their very fast delivery!
I absolutely love this serum! I have been using it day and night for just over two weeks. I might be slightly addicted to its amazing scent, which is not overpowering, but nice and subtle. The Double Serum is so silky! I love how you can decide how much to dispense, however, even at the lowest setting, I found it was too much and I had excess after using it on my face, neck and decolletage.
The two serums are dispensed evenly and mix well together. The serum absorbed well into my skin. Even though I have oily, sensitive and acne-prone skin, I found that my skin wasn't oily afterward and it didn't cause any breakouts or concerns. My skin looks youthful, radiant and my fine lines aren't as noticeable.
I absolutely love Clarins and their Double Serum!

This is the smallest folding full size Kick Scooter. It is quick and easy to fold, fitting nicely into a backpack or locker. It has a precision anti-rattle telescopic t-bar and advanced high rebound wheels. The Kick Scooter is for ages 8+ and can hold maximum weight of 220 pounds. The Scooter itself weighs 8 pounds and when folded is 15.8"×6"×4.1".
Review:
You could tell right off the bat that the scooter is made from high quality material. From the wheels to the plastic to the folding mechanisms, it is pretty impressive and can hold up to 220 lbs! It is somewhat gender neutral with the blue and orange colours.
We found it pretty cool that it could be folded up for easy transport and storage. I personally like that it could be easily stored in a locker for safe keeping! It was a bit of a learning curve to figure out how to unfold and fold it back up, but clearly the kids got the hang of it faster than the adults! One watch of the video was all it took! I like that it has a built in tool! This makes it so much easier to #1 find the tool (this is a huge deal!!) and #2 make modifications on the fly. Unfortunately, one of the springs on the clamp broke, but the mechanism can still be safely used.
The Kick Scooter rides very smoothly and was durable to withstand tricks... and attempted tricks! I couldn't help but try it myself and it was a lot of fun! You can go pretty fast and I didn't feel any vibration and neither did the kids. The brake works well too! The Kick Scooter feels very sturdy!
Overall, the consensus was that the Kick Scooter is a hit! It's very durable, well made, and has a neat concept of being compact! Win-win and a ton of fun!

I grew up with the iconic green bar of soap always in my shower! I can recognize the original scent anywhere!
We were happy to try out their Aloe Mist Moisturizing Face + Body Wash. The Aloe Mist scent is a bit strong and it does stay on the skin. It is rather masculine, which I found great when it wasn't on me. 😊 The gel body wash lathers really well and a little goes a long way. It rinsed off easily and our skin felt clean and moisturized. The bottle states freshness for 24 hours, which seems true.
I have always loved how natural and responsible Irish Spring has been and continues to be! I feel very happy and safe using their products while camping or at the cottage. 💚

I found the toner to be clarifying but not too drying. My skin looked clean and felt smooth and hydrated.
