This product is a genuine old fashioned Castille soap with no strange additives or added fragrance. Something surprisingly hard to find. It's gentle, non drying, and great for all skin types . Since they're are no unnecessary chemical additives in this If I had a baby l wouldn't hesitate to use this! People who are allergic to fragrance or have multiple chemical sensitivities should probably pick this up.
PROS
- free of parabens, triclosan, fragrance
- 100% vegan, Eco friendly packaging
- like all Castille soaps, doubles as a fantastic stain remover / laundry soap
- lathers nicely without sulfates
- large format size that lasts for a long time
- mild, hydrating soap
Cons
- gets very soft, mushy, gooey, gel like in texture very fast (l don't mind that, it's just a bit of a nuisance)
- large size is awkward to hold in the shower
I like how the soap feels on the skin, not dry, not too rich, skin feels soft as I bathe. I love using it with a micro fibre wash cloth, so my skin is both exfoliated and smooth afterwards.
This soap should not be stored in the bath or let stand in water because it will become a soggy mess and a breeding ground for bacteria. It needs to dry between use.
For very dry skin, l highly recommend their Olive and Honey bar soap. It is the richest soap I've ever tried! A bit too rich for me, unfortunately. I can't use it all the time outside of winter, cause it caused pimples for me.
